Let me first make clear that I am one of the authors included in this latest edition of the iconic Tesseracts series, but I get the same thrill from reading great SF stories as any other reader. So let me review this collection of tales other than my own.
I don’t think there’s a better showcase of Canadian SF literature than the Tesseracts series, and

So, I pretty much just picked up this short story collection because of the title. It seemed appropriate somehow. But I wasn't wowed. Probably 2.5 stars, not two, but still, not amazing. A couple of these stood out and were fun, but a lot of them were just there. And I find I'm not a huge fan of monster stories, which some of these were. I did like the Canadian references present in all of them. And as I said, there were a few good ones. But there were quite a few that I thought weren't good at...more

I edited the book so I'm a bit partial to these stories. But suffice it to say that these stories are amazing and written by some of the most talented writers I have ever had the privilege or working with.
