Distraction arrives via sexy screenwriter, Noah Reynolds. His take-me-to-bed looks...more

How can you not love a romance that takes place in the Caribbean – Grand Cayman to be exact. Having been to Grand Cayman, even though it was so long ago, reading this novel brought back memories of the sandy beaches, blue water, and the smell of salt in the air; all of which makes me want to be there this very moment as it’s absolutely beautiful. Anyways, back to the novel. “Riptide” is a well-written, fast-paced story with elements of romance, suspense, and mystery with a few twists and turns t...more

Wow, the hero of this novel--Noah Reynolds--was too hot to handle. Ha! Loved it. This is one of those books that I feel could easily cross genres--perhaps romance, suspense, mainstream, chick lit, women's fiction--not sure how they all get divided, but I can't imagine anyone NOT liking this story. Lauren starts out pretty unsure of herself and it's wonderful to see how she overcomes her doubts in the face of great danger. What a creepy plot! Loved the stalker in this story--even though that soun...more

I absolutely LOVED this book. I can't think of anything I didn't like. In fact, I wanted it to keep going. The characters are well-developed, carefully crafted and seemed very real to me. Sizzling love scenes, by the way! Ha. Loved it. The plot is a true psychological suspense where what I thought was about to happen turned out to be completely different, but in a way that made sense as it all unfolded. I see where someone here on goodreads wrote that it was a bit too complicated, but I disagree...more

Riptide by Amber Lea Easton is a well written, fast paced romantic suspense. With two likable characters, a well thought out mystery and enough romance to keep the story interesting, Ms. Easton grabbed my attention from the first page and never let go. As the action and mystery intensify, Lauren and Noah, who have serious trust issues due to being burned in the past, must work together if they want to stay alive. Watching...more

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

This is a fantastic romance novel that swept me away to the Caribbean! I loved it!

Lauren Biltmore is a fantastic character. She has survived an attack, but is still emotionally affected. I liked her very much. Although she is tougher than she realises, she believes herself to be weak. However, if I was attacked and survived what she had to go through, I'm not sure I would be sunning myself in a tropical paradise; I wou...more

Review: Riptide is a well written modern story that has everything a good Contemporary Romance & Suspense is supposed to have. It has a great plot, one that will make you speculate and will definitely challenge the reader to draw conclusions. The characters felt as if you were witnessing a conversation between close friends. I enjoyed how well the story flowed and how well the characters were developed.

Their differences and the circum...more

I love the way this author writes. Every scene felt as if I were transported to Grand Cayman--I could feel the sun, sense the breeze, and definitely felt the passion between Lauren and Noah. Yes, this is a steamy romance, but it is so much more than that. The struggle Lauren goes through after surviving a tremendous trauma while attempting to piece her life together felt incredibly vivid to me. She is a relatable character. I truly rooted for her to see how strong she was and to not sabotage the...more

Phenomenal novel, one of the best I have ever read. I thought Kiss Me Slowly was good---and it is---but this one topped it. I felt like I was watching a movie, was completely captivated by the characters, the setting and the storyline. As soon as I finished it, I wanted to read it again for the sheer enjoyment of it. I think I miss the characters! It's rare that a book can draw the readers in so well. I can't recommend this highly enough. If you enjoy romance, suspense and excellent writing, the...more

It's my book--of course I'm rating it with 5 stars. LOL Hey, it gave me the option! :-) Actually, this book was one of my favorites to write--aren't they all?, you ask. The characters truly found a permanent place in my heart. There were times when writing this novel that I cried because of the riptide of emotions that pulled me out of reality and into the depths of the story. To me, that's the best feeling in the world. It's been getting great feedback from the public and that's a reward beyond...more

Awesome book--made me want to be right there on Grand Cayman with the characters (minus the crazy stalker, though!) The characters are smart, vivid and realistic. The suspense plot is creepy enough to keep you on the edge of your seat and the author keeps you guessing right up to the end. I LOVE THE ENDING! This is one of those novels that makes you smile, gasp and twist in your seat. I enjoyed every bit of it, can't think of anything negative at all to say. Even the secondary characters were fa...more

Very exciting and complex plot. It took a long time for the real personalities of Noah and Lauren to be revealed, but that helped create the suspense of the stories, not to mention all the mysterious events plaguing Noah. Lauren really takings a beating in this one, but I liked how in the end she discovers how strong she is. Loved the character development of Larry too.I did find the plot a little too confusing at times and I also felt like Noah and Lauren had the same conversation with slight v...more
