This book is a story that has a very complicated plot. If you like the Matrix where reality isn't what it seems then this book is a book that you will love. The story set in the year 2015. A woman name Serenity Rankin is married to man name Jack and they have a 7 year old severely autistic son name Charlie. Serenity and Jack are struggling as a married couple having to deal with the special needs of Charlie. Jack is distancing himself from his son and placing a strain on their marriage.

Five Days of Darkness was an interesting read, but it wasn't really up my alley. In a way, and I'm probably one of the only people who's even seen this movie, but it kind of reminded me of the "The Fury" with all the conspiracy stuff thrown in. While I get that the author was trying to make the story interesting over the course of five days by having different viewpoints, I think the novel would have been better suited if we only had one character's POV, like maybe Serenity. Or Jack. Even so, ...more

I had a great time reading this psychic story about a young boy and his ability to read minds. A secret group with government connections is after the boy. The novel takes advantage of the perspectives of a psychic and hyper-intelligent boy by creating humorous situations from the observations and experiences of the boy through the political conspiracy trying to take advantage of him. He doesn't fully understand what is going on, but he knows enough to tell when he is in danger. This creates a ...more

A great read that kept me wanting to find out more. Five Days of Darkness binds together various mystic beliefs and spiritual themes into the ever existent battle between good and evil along a modern political landscape. I enjoyed how everyone's story unveiled its self as we start to find out all the players involved and the extent of their powers. Overall, a very imaginative, thought out and complete story in a style that makes this book very easy to read.

I'm a sucker for a good series & this one promises to be awesome. Action filled & thought provoking definitely for those who like a little magic intertwined with religion & possibilities of world failure. AA heroine with multicultural characters.
