I’ve never reviewed an anthology before, so this might be a bit of a challenge. This one includes four short stories by four equally fabulous authors.

“The Journey Home” by Lisa Bilbrey

Tissue Alert, this story is a definite tearjerker. Travis is at a crossroads in his life and has some hard decisions to make. One decision, to come home for his old high school’s homecoming game, changes everything.

Bilbrey is able to take us on the journey right along side of Travis. I don’t want to spoil anything,...more

I received this book as a free first reads from goodreads.com. I have not read the first 2 books of the series. All of the stories drew me with the characters and plot. Because they are short stories rather than novels I felt that they were lacking depth, that would be found in a longer format. This was especially true of the second story, Love Something Fierce. Or perhaps in that case it was the "heroine" Claire that was lacking character.
