Earth Tones by Angela Wallace is, in my opinion, her best novel yet. Now understand that her other novels are amazing, but it seems that with each title she releases, her stories are richer and perhaps deeper in texture. Her elemental characters come alive off the page and are "real" people with abilities that, though are supernatural, are not overdone or far-fetched.

Once again, Angela Wallace does an excellent job of bringing a richly detailed world to life. Not only does she immerse you into Nita's life in a remote Alaskan town, but her magical world is also believable and internally consistent.

My favorite book of the Elemental Magic series so far. I love the supernatural elements in these books because they're clever and not seen in most paranormal/urban fantasy. It makes for a very refreshing book. Loved the action and the protag, Nita. The character is very easy going and down-to-earth until she's pushed too far. Then the nice, elemental girl next door starts kicking some butt.
