No Flowers Required was a fun, flirty, fast read.

Alexa Conroy is in a bit of a pickle left with a struggling business, Divine Flowers, a high end floral shop which in a depressed economy is not doing too well. She has just sold her dream house to pay off the businesses backed up bills and just moved into an apartment above her flower shop. Just one more problem is Value Hardware, a large store drawing business away by their promises of flowers at a discount. To add insult to injury, th...more

The second book in the Love Required series by Cari Quinn. No Flowers Required turned out to be a pretty good read. Alexa Conroy is struggling trying to keep her business afloat. She had to sell her home and move to a small studio apartment where she meets handyman, Dillon James. Unknown to Alexa, Dillon is really her landlord and also owns the building her business is in. It was more of a novella so we didn't get a lot of back story, plus, I'm not a great fan of deception and the story wasn't...more

    Review:

"No Flowers Required (Love Required)" by Carl Quinn was a good contemporary romance, women fiction- chick-lit read. This was a novel of Alexa's and Dillion's story that was a quick read. Once I started reading "No Flowers Required" I wasn't able to put down until the end.

Here is what this novel is about ... From the Author:

When I pick up a book, I am first and foremost looking for an escape from reality. Not that reality is all that bad but sometimes my imagination needs an opportunity to take over the reins and for everything else to take a back seat. I also need a credible and intense romantic attachment between the characters, they don’t need to be taking each other’s clothes every five minutes but I need to feel the chemistry between them, I need sparks, I need possession, I need desperation. Finally, I need a...more

    I’m gonna make it quick.

I lost my hard-on after the first sex scene.
Don’t get me wrong, sex was hot. Maybe I’m just getting older and can’t take a lot anymore.

    Dillon. BDSM-ish Dr. Dolittle.
    Well, helloooo!
I mean, is this guy for real? One minute he bangs the hell out of her (hard and dominant), the other he just wants to plant as many trees as possible ‘cause trees help us to fight greenhouse effect. Ok were do I find a 'handyman' like Dillon?!?
Simply loved the chemistry between Alexa & Dillon! And let me tell you the love scenes were smoking sizzling hot!! No wonder they needed the rain ;)

Too bad we didn't get a Epilogue :( would have liked to know if they get married, if there gonna be babies etc.. lol BUT I was told by Cari Quinn herself that there are gonna be more books in the Love Required series and in those were gonna get a peek at Dillon and Alexa"s life! :)

No Flowers Required sets up a great plot with issues that are very relevant to small businesses today. The characters are personable and relatable. The sexy scenes had me turning on the fan to lower the temperature in the room!... Especially when about a specific tattoo that drives a sexy someone’s lust levels through the roof (you’ll have to read to find out deets) :-p Dillon is a very strong male lead and through Cari’s writing, we are able to see how very much he desires Alexa. He is also div...more

PANTIES ARE STILL A LITTLE DAMP FROM THIS ONE!!

This was a very hot and sexy read. It had a great story line and lots of laughs. Both Alexa and Dillion have great personalities. They both have sass and wit and it was fun watching them verbally go at it. I loved how Dillion went out of his way to support Alexa's dreams and help her succeed. I know Dillion is supposed to be this Bad Boy but I found him to be more like an M&M: hard, sexy, shell with a tender soft yummy inside! It's Just fliipen...more

This story picks up after "No Dress Require" which I also liked. No Flower's Required is a great story about 2 people that want to prove something. Alexa wants to prove to herself that she can keep her flower shop running and doesn't need a knight in shining armor to save her. Dillion wanted to prove that the family business isn't what defines him. Alexa has a sink leak and mistakes Dillion for the super. Dillion doesn't correct her and proceeds to help her with the other projects that she needs...more

Alexa Conroy's business is in trouble. She is in debt up to her eye balls, has had to downsize her life including her big house and is now living in a apartment over her flower shop.

Enter Dillion James who Alexa finds ripping up floorboards in an adjacent apartment after an incident with her bathroom sink. She thinks he's the apartment handyman, and he's smitten enough to let her think it.

Wow, this book was sweet and hot. I absolutely loved it.

Alexa is having a tough time during the recession. She inherited Divine flower shop from her boss and best friend and now she is loosing all her customers to Value Hardware since they started selling flowers, who also happen to be her landowners.

Dillon is a very reluctant heir to the family that owns Alexa’s building. He is a rebel in every way possible, who has always been happier using his hands in hard wor...more

When I saw that Cari Quinn’s No Flowers Required was up for review I jumped at the chance to read another one of her stories. She has a good track record with me and this one was another good story of hers. It was a fun, sexy read and definitely one that I found entertaining. Let me start by saying that when I first saw the summary for this on goodreads I was sold. I mean, come on, a guy with piercings and tattoos? If we were in a bookstore and there was a line about a mile long with people waiting to purchase books and get home, I'd have knocked them all out of the way in order to get to the cashier first to pay for this book and gotten myself home. Long story short, I was completely sold.

Alexa Conroy hates everything about Value Hardware, She hates the cheap flower arrangements they sell and she hate that they are taking business away from her flower shop. I’m a big fan of Cari Quinn’s erotic romances for Ellora’s Cave but this was my first time with her new Love Required series for the Brazen line of Entangled. “No Flowers Required” is the follow-up to “No Dress Required” but it works well as a stand-alone story.

Oh my goodness! I am in love! This is a sweet, sexy story with a lot of heart and humor. I loved the characters, I loved the story arc, I loved how grounded this tale was in relatable situations. The heroine, Alexa, owns a small business and her hopes and fears and stresses are very familiar. She's dealing with expectations from, well, herself mostly, and the promises she made to the woman who mentored her and left her th...more

OMG, I didn’t make it past the first few pages before I was in love with the story… the first chapter before I was in LOVE with Dillon!

Alexa Conroy is a strong, fun, passionate heroine and she gives as good as she gets. Dillon James is a bad boy who isn’t so bad. Together they create a chemistry that can’t be denied and a heart that turns their world on end.

Dillon is mistaken for the handy-man by Alexa… Well, I’m not sure it’s exactly a mistake as he is fixing up the property....more

No Flowers Required by Cari Quinn is easily the best contemporary romance books I've read to date this year. With lovable characters, witty dialogue and good supporting characters, this tale of love among the flowers grabbed me from the first page. I've read other books by Ms. Quinn but I really feel as if she upped her game while writing this book. Now I want to own a flower shop and move in to one of the apartments above it so I can...more

2 words "ROOFTOP" Why is it that when I get a handyman, he's NOTHING like Dillon, NOT FAIR lol. He has the total package he's handsome, tatted, and pierced (well that's the whole package for me) This was my first book by Cari Quinn and I most say that it will not be my last, I was blown away. Wow! What a difference from the first book in this series. After reading the first book in this series I was really worried about this book. Okay so this book was a big improvement from the first one in this series. First of all because it was actually the length of a normal book, but it was also a major improvement plot wise.

I think I have a cavity, this was so sweet! But steamy at the same time.

Once she saw the warm reception that first tale garnered, she was hooked. She attempted her first romance in junior high, long before she'd ever read one.
