Ali has been hiding in an attic since civilisation collapsed eight weeks ago.

When the plague hit, her neighbours turned into mindless, hungry, homicidal maniacs.

Daniel has been a loner his entire life. Then the world empties and he realises that being alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Finn is a former cop who is desperate for companionship, and willing to do anything i...more

I think I have a new favorite genre: Post-Apocalyptic Erotica

Flesh is a well-written, witty, action packed and highly erotic story of basic survival and raw gritty love. Daniel, Ali and Finn stick together and fight against these:

And soon form an unconventional relationship that includes a lot of this, but WAY steamier:

Daniel and Finn both love Ali and she loves them and the relationship the three of them have is the heart of this story. It moved me, I loved their commitment to one another and t...more

Buddy read with Tom, Sarah, and a whole buncha others. Erotic zombie post apocalyptic cray-cray....bring it on!!!!

"Humans are social creatures. I didn't realize how much until nearly everyone was gone."

Ali has been hiding for months in the upstairs floor of her neighbor's house. (because zombies can't climb) Civilization has crumbled, and she has locked herself away in order to survive. When she goes on one of her rare outings to find food, she run...more

When I found out about this book series, I did a happy dance.

I am a HUGE zombie fan. From Resident Evil to Walking Dead, if it has a zombie in it chances are I've seen it or will be seeing it. And, yes, that includes made for TV crap that most people turn as soon as they see SciFi or Chiller channel. LOL

So, how could I not love a story that is like the Walking Dead, but with sexy times.

YES, Please!

The book starts strong and really does push you into a world of flesh eating infestation. Loved it...more

Apocalypse, zombies, and SEXxxx..OH MY!! Two for the price of one??? Yes PLEASE! Why did I wait to read?? Wanted a change in my current reading line up and found it!! Kylie Scott really "hit" my Walking Dead soft spot and ramped up the sexy! Can't wait to read more from this author.

I don’t do horror.

Let’s put it this way: If you wanted to torture me, strapping me to a chair and forcing me to watch any one of the bloody “let’s kill people slowly and painfully” gore fests that pass for entertainment these days would be the way to do it. State secrets? Yeah—they’d be secrets no more.

So…when I first heard of “Flesh” in passing, I thought to myself, nuh-uh.

But I have to say, once I read the excerpt, I was hooked. Kylie Scott is an author who has an excellent “voice”. Her pros...more

I must start by saying that this is by far the best zombie book(s) I have read and the fact that they have an erotic element to it just makes it that much better.
They are hotter than the outback in December.
Kylie Scott has created a unique dystopian world where a zombie plague has been unleashed and there only pockets of survivors, These stories take place in Australia and follow some of the survivors as they battle not only the zombies but also the distrust of others that comes from the isola...more

Flesh is such an appropriate title for this book. Lack thereof with the zombies roaming, and also some real steamy bits of Flesh from two hot smokin kick arse sexy survivors.

I must say the hardest part for me in this book was also two deciding which hottes I wanted most lol. The storyline sucked me in and not being a great zombie fan - this had just the right amount of zombie - moaning - flesh eating and grossness for me lol.. Don't get me wrong - Im branching out and trying out new genre's and...more

Holy crap. This book was FANFREAKINGTASTIC

I've gotta be honest. I picked this up for its novelty. I've been known to like a post apocalyptic book here and there. I've enjoyed a few zombie books. Erotica has certainly taken up a good amount of my reading material lately. But all three together? How it the heck was that going to work out? As it turns out, it works out amazingly well.

I've got to give huge props to Kylie Scott. She managed to write characters that I loved almost immediately, witho...more

Talk about nice and steamy, this story did not disappoint in that department. Unfortunately it was a bit to much at times with Daniel and Finn sharing Ali. I don't know who in the right mind would do that, even if they are living in the middle of a full infested apocalypse with zombies running around. There was times in the storyline where I had to re-read certain parts because it felt like it was jumping all over the place. But the banter between Daniel and Ali were good nonetheless. Overall, g...more

I read these out of order, I read SKIN first and loved it, and it's not that I didn't really like FLESH , I just didn't like it as much as the other.

Ali (h) has been holed up in her old landlady's attic for about 6 weeks. Ever since the world went crazy and the infection started. Now she only leaves her safe spot when the need for food forces her to. When that time comes she has to go into abandoned stores and search for food that hasn't spoiled.

Dan (H) can't believe his eyes when he sees Ali....more

A polyamory, post zombie apocalypse love story. It makes sense that in a post zombie apocalypse world, women would be rare creatures that men might fight over.

Ali has survived the longest and most dangerous game of hide and seek - ever. For more than eight weeks she has been hidden in the roof space of her neighbour’s heavily secured home. The neighbour she might have had to kill when she started to turn zombie. She isn't in a good place in any sense of the word. She seems ill-equipped to surviv...more

I am a hugh fan of Zomie movies. Wheather it be big box office or made for TV. I love it all. From Dawn of the Dead, Ah Zombies to The Walking Dead series on TV. So when I heard of this book I jumped at it. I went and got it and the 2nd book. I tell you I love all things zombie.

Ok, the review. For me this book started out really strong. I loved the whole two strangers meet and battle not knowing if you can trust the other person. Then the whole zombies attacking and barely getting out with your...more

So, to explain my rating:

3.5-3.75 for the erotic romance aspect of the story. I'm a fan of menage, particularly permanent menages, and I thought it was handled well here. I would have rated higher, but I didn't think that the romantic emotional factor came across as strongly as I was hoping for. Not that I want a ton of angst, but I do want to feel a stronger emotional connection myself.

2-2.5 for the Post-Apocalyptic worldbuilding of the zombie epidemic. It really just wasn't there. The story st...more

Flesh is not what I was expecting. The setting is that of a zombie apocalypse. That is what attracted me to the book. After all, 21st December 2012 was only a week or so ago. The End of the World holds a strange appeal at the moment.

So I started this book. It is brilliantly written. The setting, as mentioned above is the end of human civilization via zombies. But its not a backdrop setting, not flat but rather real, with depth to it.

For example, the smell of the zombies. The constant moaning t...more

This isn't what I usually read but after my recent emotionally draining reads I needed something different. Flesh takes place after zombies have taken over and people are dealing with the aftermath. Ali is on her own and has survived by hiding in her neighbors attic but runs into another survivor Daniel while searching for food. Daniel was funny and real and I fell in love with him right away. Because there are survivors who are still bad people Ali isnt sure if she should trust Daniel or not. H...more

The last post-apocalyptic book I read was A Canticle for Leibowitz back in the dawn of time. This is my first time for Zombie's. Unless you count seeing Shaun of the Dead on TV. So why did I even pick it up. It was a case of 'Interesting Author' whose work is respected by another 'Interesting Author' who's writing I just love.
Soooo. Here I am with a Zombie book. The only familiar thing is the locale, Brisbane. Though the uburbs have never been infested with the walking dead in my experience. The...more

Flesh is an engrossing and intriguing book. Before I started I understood that this was an erotic romance set post zombie apocalypse so I was ready for sizzling sex and high drama from marauding zombies. I thought it would be a fun, hot read. But it is so very much more.

What Kylie Scott has done is present characters, plot and context in a way that drawn the reader completely into the world. She shows us, but allows the reader to extrapolate their own meaning rather than being forced into her ow...more

This is an easy review for me....crazy weird and definitely an interesting paranormal erotica book. I wasn't prepared for some of the stuff that came up in this story and mostly didn't buy it. I know it's a paranormal post-apocalyptic world so basically anything goes, but these characters are still human! The characters' responses to situations in this story were anything but predictable. Which is good and bad. I hate predictable in a book, but far fetched is also just as bad. The first 1/3 of t...more

BRILLIANT! 4 Red Hot Lovin' and Zombie Filled Stars

I never thought that it would take a zombie post-apocalyptic world to make me a believer in the menage love story! I am ALWAYS the first one to roll their eyes when the menage turns into a poly-lovin' HEA. I could never understand them, not once. BUT this one I understand. Not only do I understand it, but I am totally and completely for it. I don't doubt that they all 3 know going in what it is, and their feelings are all 100% real. No jealousy...more

”There is nothing to fear but fear itself.”

It’s been months since the plague hit, Ali stumbles on Daniel at a suburban home and he is beyond thrilled to see her. No matter how happy Daniel is Ali is scared shitless and tries her best to get away from him.
”That was not nice. Stop and think. I have done everything possible not to hurt you. I only want to talk to you. You’ve shot at me, scratched me, kissed me, and now you start biting. Apologize.”

Daniel knew that Ali was “his” and...more

I did not expect to enjoy FLESH as much as I did. Especially since, at this reading, FLESH only has mid range rating. I've found goodreads to be pretty accurate when it comes to scores. But there's always the exception.

I had to give this book a chance. Zombie apocalypse manage romance? Yes, please!

What I loved...good writing. Story had good pacing, multiple POV, drew me in, felt real, WAS NOT disjointed, didn't have cheesy lines. Thank you Kylie Scott.

I think most of the reviewers who gave lower...more

I heard about this book from a friend. She knows my love for Zombies and love stories and thought I would enjoy to read it. I figured that I watch The Walking Dead so it would be much like an episode of that.

I started the book and loved how it starts out with a BANG...lots of action and zombies trying to get Ali and Daniel. You can see the mistrust in her because she has seen what happens to civilization and women in general when civilizations falls. Dan is looking for hope and Ali serves as th...more

Loved this book. Read it in one sitting and didn't want it to end.

I don't usually read post-zombie apocalypse stories, but the lure of good smut made me give this one a go. And boy am I glad I did. This book exceeded every single expectation I had going in. Exceeded them and ran away with them.

The zombie's don't play a huge role, and for that I am grateful. This book is focused more on the people who survived and are learning to live in this new world where the rules, as well as everything els...more

Ok I can honestly say this is not my kind of erotica. I just did not get into it. I mean I loved Daniel and his scenes always made me smile but I like possessive alpha male types so that’s nothing new :)

I was kind of surprised that the men all saved condoms during the apocalypse for when/if they met women…Is it just me? I found it odd, but what do I know about what people save when the world is ending?! Also they fell in love with Ali so fast...more

I was looking for something different. With Flesh, I was getting some hot steamy sex along and a story with a post-apocalyptic twist. I thought, "why not?". Zombies, aliens or ghosts are usually NOT my thing. Like I said though, I was in the mood for something different and my husband has me hooked on AMC's "The Walking Dead" series...so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

So, Ali and Daniel meet by happenstance, since they seem to be the only ones left after the world has gone to complete turmoil. A...more

Generally enjoyable, though I thought Dani Worth's After the Crux did a better job of setting up a believable polyamorous dystopian romance (it's also m/m/f, which has always seemed more fair to me than m/f/m, but maybe that's just me.)

The opening scenes made me a little nervous, but Dan and Ali's relationship dynamics shift enough over the course of the story that I enjoyed them together. Adding Finn to the mix seemed... pragmatic, but not terribly romantic to me. I did find it kind of irritati...more

Flesh is brilliant - and I'm no zombie fan (they scare me) but in this, the zombies are like the weather - there, mentioned but never dwelled on.

Flesh is more a book about human nature, and sex. At the end of the civilised world, Ali hid in an attic until she's found by Daniel. Daniel brings out the bravery in Ali - and he's fun, hot and macho.

Then they're saved by Finn. Human nature now comes into play. Finn's more a thinker and a planner. He's alpha too, but younger than Dan. It's interesting...more

Zombies and erotic romance, though not erotica with the Zombies cause that’s a “hot, wet mess”, to quote a line from the book, of a rather icky kind.

No, Kylie gives us an erotic romance set in a post apocalyptic, post zombie infected Brisbane. The end of civilisation as we know it, throws characters together that perhaps would not have met and formed relationships otherwise.

It was Scott’s energy and humour in the free first chapter that intrigued me and the rest of the novel didn’t disappoint.

Kylie is a long time fan of erotic love stories and B-grade horror films. She demands a happy ending and if blood and carnage occur along the way then all the better. Based in Queensland, Australia with her two children and one delightful husband, she reads, writes and never dithers around on the internet.
