Rain Anderson can't decide which is more unsettling--encountering the ghost of her missing friend, or reuniting with the man whose love she foolishly rejected. But one thing is certain: the past has come back to haunt her, quite literally.

Five years ago, Rain's tight-knit group of high school friends unraveled when one vanished during their senior year. Now, a parent's de

I am not sure what I was expecting, as this is Ms. Knight's first published novel, but let me say, I am really looking forward to the next one. Romance not being my main focus in reading selections, I was pleasantly surprised when I finally shut the book.

The premise of the book is pretty straight forward, High School friends get together after a five year hiatus to try and solve the mysterious disappearance of their friend. The characters are developed at a leisurely pace which is nice. You get

Rain Anderson has alot going on in her life. One would think divorce from her highschool sweetheart would play the heaviest on her mind but it's dreams of her missing friend that keep her up at night...and chilled by day.

Silver Lake is a haunting tale of 4 friends, who since lost touch after highschool, coming together to try to solve a mystery. It was 5 years ago that Brandy went missing and the group o

First I would like to say I received this book through the goodreads giveaway. I received this book and began reading it and could not put it down. The author is a wonderful writer. She pulled you into the book as if this was all happening to you. It is very hard to believe that this is Kathryn Knight's first book. If you love a mystery with a paranormal element in it this is the book for you. You will not want to miss reading this book. It is a wonderful read.
I am so looking forward to reading

I can not believe this is a debut book. I found it completely entrancing.
The paranormal elements of this book were captivating, however, not the most important part of the story for me.
Four high school friends have come together after five years to figure out what caused the disappearance of the fifth person in their old circle. The dynamics of their friendships, all they've experienced since parting, the secrets they've hidden, the people they've become, all blend together to shape an unforge

Silver Lake is part mystery, romance, and even a visit from the paranormal, all around a great, satisfying read.

A group of friends are reuniting after years apart. The one thing that's unsettled between them- and difficult to think about, is a disappearance of one of their own. It's been eating at them for five years. Now they have to finally come to terms and figure out what's going on.

There's times where I'm startled in the book- firstly, by the ghostly visitor that keeps hanging around. I'm a

Hauntingly good!

This mystery is wonderfully crafted with lots of romance mixed in. The characters are realistic and brave. The plot and pacing kept me intrigued throughout and I got serious chills in spots. I found myself really pulling for the main characters to get together. It was a fabulous journey!

The Lake House is a great book. You have your supernatural happenings , Romace, drama and 4 friends coming together again to reknew their relationships. what more do you need in a single book?!

Connecting with the characters was so easy. Rain, newly divorced from a jerk husband, Allie tired and just in need of alone time from her children that she's keeping a secret about..yes you have to read it, I'm not telling.
You have A.J. Who was the missing girls boyfriend and no matter all the happenings h

What is going on? Am I losing touch with reality?

Those are two questions that the lead character in SILVER LAKE , Rain Anderson, lives with each day. And Author Kathryn Knight managed to keep me just as perplexed as I read this mystery. Mystery, as such, is not my favorite genre, but mystery mixed with romance makes for an intense and satisfying read. Silver Lake has both elements perfectly balanced throughout. One never detracts from, but actually embellishes the other. Great characterization

An enthralling, spooky read, Silver Lake was a page-turner from the beginning!

*Notice: I do not give out spoilers!*

Having read Kathryn Knight’s novel Gull Harbor, I was excited when Silver Lake was re-released on Amazon e-Book. She didn’t disappoint! Silver Lake was as enthralling as Gull Harbor…romance, mystery, and of course, ghosts, this novel was a page-turner from the very beginning!

SILVER LAKE by Kathryn Knight

Ms. Knight presents us with very real, likable characters and a story that will grip you from start to finish. She has taken a subject with mystery built in that keeps you turning the pages and it doesn't hurt that we get some romance along the way.

Four friends from school are meeting again after 5 years to investigate the reason why the fifth friend, disappeared from their tight knit circle during high school. The mystery that surrounds the disa

what more could you need.

I instantly connected with the characters. Rain, newly divorced trying to get her life back on track, Jason,in a bad relationship, not really knowing what he's going to do at the beginning, which by the way very sexy and hot. Rain is attracted to hospice high school and him her. now their all grown up

I immediately loved the characters: Rain, Jason, Allie, and A.J. They all felt so real and reminded me of my friends after high school. I am a big fan of anything supernatural and I wholeheartedly believe in ghosts, so I loved the supernatural and ghostly happenings that occurred throughout the story. The pacing was a bit slow for my taste, but it picked up halfway through and then I had to force myself to stop reading (4 chapters to the end) to get some sleep. lol

I enjoyed the book, it had romance, mystery and suspense. The book is a paranormal romance and the author's first book. I enjoyed her writing style, it was well paced and had me not wanting to put it down. I am looking forward to reading her second book, Gull Harbor, which I plan to start tonight!

This was a pretty intriguing story. It did drag a little but I had to keep in mind all of the main characters were only in their early twenties. I figured out pretty early where the dead body was but was surprised by the killer.

I would give this 3.5 stars but only due to preference of genre. The writer really pulls you into the story. I honestly probably shouldn't read ghost stories at night, and this is a prime example of why! It really felt like I was there. I felt like I kind of figured out parts of the mystery early on and wondered why the characters couldn't. But the actual mystery was a complete surprise. A good book that really keeps you reading. The only reason for less than a four was the romance...but that's ...more

I found this to be an entertaining romance. The paranormal elements added a nice atmosphere as the characters tried to solve the mystery of their high school friend's sudden disappearance 5 years earlier. Somehow this seemed more like a YA book to me though. The characters were so young and immature in many ways. This seemed like a summer beach read to me, not to involved or thought provoking, similar to a Lifetime movie.
