I can't wait for this book to come out! Should be a high octane, combative, super sexy romance!!!
Below is a very early review of Becky Banks upcoming novel Forged. I am sharing with you what my initial reactions were to this amazing novel and what I would tell people so they immediately add Forged to their “to-read” list.

While author Becky Banks has remained a believer in the power of love, her upcoming novel Forged is a dark, sexy and gritty tale when compared to her debut novel The Legend of...more

What the foo?!? This bk should have been titled Forged Light. A good thing this one was only $.99 because any more than that I would have felt even more cheated than I did. This bk has all the makings of a really, really good story with interesting characters and some fast and furious action, however, it turned out to be more like one of those shows you walk in and start watching 30 minutes after it started. The story is never fully developed nor are the characters fleshed out and there’s very l...more

Yep, that was me, reading this book. I cannot even believe how much I loved this story! I loved the anger, and the fact that they said exactly what was on their minds. Although their situation had to be worked out, this was not a book where there was a simple miscommunication that we, the reader, would roll our eyes about and shout at our readers, 'Just talk it out already!' The h was in error, and the H had to forgive, and that took some time, but, wow, the ride was worth reading. There was sce...more

Main Hero Nate!! SWOOON, loved Heroine Eva, loved the little bit of back story to them. The whole story was what I call a whizz bang! It has all the makings to be a epic novel, the sexy man, the thrill of chase, mystery (although that was at times see through! I totally realised what the dad was after Nate for!! Durrrrr) the cars!!! God I loved the cars! I'm from uk so I don't always 'get' the bad boy cameo driver in some ya novels, I'm alll for european cars!! Grrrrrroooowll...more

Another fantastic novel by Becky Banks! Becky's first novel, The Legend of Lady MacLaoch, was a favorite of mine. Recently she informed me that a sequel is in the works, which she never thought she'd do. So, for all you Legend of Lady MacLaoch fans, there will be more!!

Forged is a again, an exciting romance with a strong heroine and a stern, alpha male hero. Which is how I like it. *winks* Both novels are unique and have a dark, thrilling theme, where you get sucked into the characters world an

Decent self published book. HORRIBLE COVER. WTF?

Heroine and hero were best friends and then teenage sweethearts. She leaves to go to NY to pursue a publishing dream, breaks his heart. Isn't there for him when he needed her. She returns after 7 years when her father is diagnosed with cancer. She realizes she still loves her ex but he doesn't want her back in his life.

I felt like they needed to have a better discussion about why their relationship broke up and I wanted her to have a better apolog...more

I adore Becky Banks. I will read every story she writes. I fell in love with Nathaniel and Eva just as I did with their story and was hooked the entire way through. Banks had me second guessing myself and hangin' on tight for more. FORGED is for sure a wild ride but one full of passion from the first page to the end.

After years of living in New York, Eva moves back to her hometown of Portland only to be faced with a past she thought she buried a long time ago. When Eva and Nate run into one anot...more

'Forged' was like a joyride in an Aston Martin DBS - fast, furious and enough turns to make my stomach flip!!
Nate is the perfect male protagonist - strong, hot, bad and damaged - all the qualities which female readers find appealing!! ( Yes, including me!)
Eva is a harder nut to crack, perhaps due to her circumstances and her high-powered job, and because of this I found her a less likeable character. However, Becky Banks, uses Nate and Eva perfectly as a balance - each one as fiery as the other...more

Review to come as part of blog tour

20 November 2012 *Update*
Here's the review:

As soon as I started reading, I knew that this book wasn't one of those sickly sweet romance where everything is pretty much perfect when the main characters meet, the way they struggle through a hiccup that is blown way out of proportion, then they have a perfect ending.

The way that Eva and Nate talk to each other is hard and raw, both when they are pissed off and when they are turned on. Only first loves are able to...more

My Review:
I will start this review by saying that I feel in love with this authors writing in the first book I read, but when I started this one I was taken back just a little bit.

Totally different style of story which is was great but between the language and the sexual, well we put it this way sexual tense in the book.

Author Becky Banks is an awesome writer. She has a way with words like no other. Her descriptions of her characters and the scenes are so well put together that you actually f...more

Don't we all wonder what might have happened with the first love we left behind? When Eva once again meets up with Nate, we all get to be witness as their relationship re-ignites. Along with intense feelings and steamy sex scenes we get an action packed, suspenseful story full of colorful and entertaining characters. This book is a page turner for sure! I read it in one evening, I just had to find out what happened next. The only negative thing I can say is the book was too short! I want to know...more

This little high octane book is perfect to help tide you over while waiting for the next Kristen Ashley book. While Eva is not your usual sweet heroine she is interesting and feisty, owning up to her mistakes and dedicated to the people she loves. Nathaniel is in the same league as KA's heroes. The side characters are interesting and I loved Becky Banks writing. The story and your understanding of Eva and Nate's complicated past is done in a really unique and interesting way. My one complaint? W...more

Great story, great characters. Eva was awesome. She put everything out there for Nate, her thoughts, her love, and did not beat around the bush or say, "oh well, he should know", like a lot of heroines do. I love the girls that do and say what they mean. I do wish the story was longer, although I don't know what else could have happened? Maybe more information on their fight and how their relationship used to be before they broke up so I could long for them to get back together? I just wasn't re...more

Good....movie??

The neck breaking pace took some getting use to, but once in sync, it plays out like a movie (Fast & Furious spinoff?). Overall, I enjoy the refreshing dialogues and the fact that it has none of that lack-of-communication bs. Would have love it even more, had it been more flesh out.

*Love the cover! It's so cleverly done in imitating a fashion magazine.*

AHH I LOVED IT!!!
Nate was the perfect hero! He's tough, brooding, all male, damaged by his past, and so YUMMY. Sure, He was a jerk in the beginning, but only because of the pain he's been through. I absolutely loved him. The story was PERFECT. The hero and heroine had great chemistry. I'm so glad I found this book!

5 STARS!

So loved this book!! It reminded me of Beautiful Disaster & I so love Nate in it!! Would love to know the rest of Nate & Eva's story...

I like the storyline, but I found the writing style to be rushed at times. There seemed to be small details missing which made it hard to imagine the scene you were reading about. Generally a good read though.

loved it! loved to dedication...to every woman who has wondered "Where he is now? What if?" This would make a great trilogy!

This was a pick up, put down, pick up, put down book for me.

I just could not connect with the h, Eva. She was just so... hard... and the event that was supposed to blow off her hard shell wasn't convincing for me. There was just something missing. Nate... I believed Nate. I felt Nate. I barely felt a pulse from Eva. She just never thawed out, imo.

So while it was a fast paced interesting storyline, I kept thinking how incredible the story would have been if I could have connected with the charac...more

I got this through Goodreads. It's an easy read, actually. The story is nice, the characters are passionate and one you start reading, you can feel the tension rising between Nate and Eva. Loved the fact that it is written from both their perspectives, and one of the chapters from the perspective of Nate's father.
What I didn't like is that the beginning of the story is a little ambiguous. How long has Eva been in the city before bumping into Nate?
Overall, I'd recommend it to those who like roman...more

This was an enjoyable fast read containing adventure and romance. I enjoy books that explore the theme “where is he now?” and in the character Nate, Banks created someone who was dealing with the demons of his past including his ex-girlfriend Eva who returns to town to take care of her ailing father.
I won a copy of this book from the author in a Goodreads First Reads Giveaway. Thank you.

Becky Banks grew up, like the generations of Bankses before her, in the Hawaiian Islands. With the Islands as her roots, Becky was raised within the time-honored tradition of “talking story” amid a backdrop of grassy fields, blue waters, and cloud-clad mountains. She moved to the mainland after high school to attend Oregon State University, where she studied forestry, natural resources, and scienc...more
