White Trash Beautiful is the first Teresa Mummert book I've read. What attracted to me to this book when it popped up on my GRs feed was the cover. Therefore, one point for a great cover.

Teresa Mummert did write a very sweet tale. My biggest complaint about this book, however, is that it was not well developed. We never really found out much about Tucker (our rock star her...more

To begin, there are a few things that did not seem to settle well with me. So instead of writing in my usual review style, I'm going to go the route of breaking it down into 'BadNews & GoodNews'.
And oh yes. Like 'Hush Hush - Finale', there was a list of things I jotted down while reading..WHICH was done with exceptionally fair remarks! (Okay, not really. It was more like pounding my keyboard in an angry writing rampage.)

Bad News :
- Cass's vocabulary reminded me of an ecstatic 5 year old.

Cass is living in a run down trailer with her abusive strung out boyfriend and strung out mom working a dead end job at a diner.

In swoops Tucker to rescue her, only she won't allow it at first. She constantly believes the worst about him when he's never done anything to make her doubt him.

I feel sorry for her and at the same time, I want to slap her!

Overall not a bad story, but I hope the next one opens up Tucker past since we didn't get very much information about him throughout this book.

I was blown away by this book. This is a bit different from Teresa's other books but just as fantastic.

We have the sweet and determined Cassidy who has been dealt a crap hand in life but does her best to persevere and make things better while being told and believing herself that she isn't worthy or deserving of any more.. but that doesn't stop her from desperately wanting better.
Then we have the sexy and strong Tucker who see's the beauty and strength in Cass as soon as he meets her and has no...more

This book really had a lot of potential. Part
of it made my heart hurt for Cass. Her boyfriend Jackson and mother were both drug addicts and depended on her to survive. Other parts of this book were difficult to believable for me. The head over hills immediate attraction/love that Tucker had for Cass was just too unbelievable. The fact that he was a successful rockstar but followed Cass around after seeing her one time in the diner was just not believable.

This one had potential but the character...more

Wow, what can I say. I loved this story. I connected to Cass right from the start and prayed for a happy ending. This story made me cry at times and made my heart full of joy in other times. Dont know if there will be a sequel but if there is I'll be the first to read it.

“My feet couldn’t carry me fast enough. He represented everything I wanted in life. He was freedom, he was fantasy. A dream that played inside of my head since I learned how cruel this world could truly be.”

Cass is a girl born and raised in a small town outside of Savannah. A nobody, living in a trailer park and working at the run-down local diner; she’s a regular ray of sunshine. Ha! Carrying an unyielding chip on her...more

I don't even know where to start with this one, except to say I loved it! I mean, what's not to love? Review on Belle's Book Bag

This is my first book from Teresa Mummert. I had never heard of her or White Trash Beautiful before. But once I saw her Tweet about the book, I was hooked on the name alone~then I saw the cover~then I read the blurb and chapter 1~then I saw that Teresa saw Adam Levine as Tucker and I was a goner!! ;) LOL I had to read it. So when Teresa contacted me about doing a review, I was all over it.

Another great story from Teresa Mummert. From the moment I started reading it I couldn't put it down. You feel for Cass for all the crap she has to deal with on a daily bases having to support two drug addicted out of work losers who happen to be her mom and her boyfriend Jax. She wants nothing more then to get out of her situation and make a better life for herself so she saves every penny she earns working as a waitress. Tucker is your typical knight in shinning armor except instead of a knigh...more

this is the first book I've read by Teresa Mummert and I loved it. The story of Cass was so emotional, you just had to keep reading and hope this girl would one day escape the life she had been thown into. I won't spoil it for others, you have to read this book. The story keeps you reading all the way through, the writing is terrific, the characters are so well developed that they make their way into your head and you see exactly who they are and why each of them is part of the story. White Trash Beautiful.

It wasn’t the same type of contemporary that I am used to reading, yet I enjoyed it immensely. Cass is the epitome of white trash. She lives in a trailer park, has a druggie asshole that beats on her for a boyfriend and a mother who wasn’t strong enough to do it alone, and so she turned to drugs to get away from it all, of which, her boyfriend is supplying her mother with her habit. She works at an old and somewhat dilapidated diner for minimum wage and when she g...more

I loved this book. I fell in love with tucker of course! I felt sympathy for cass! Several times my heart was racing because I was scared for cass. I was rooting for her and tucker all the way! Tucker was such a gentleman and a sweetheart! Cass had such determination to get her life together. I really didn't like the way it ended but still enjoyed the book! Looking forward to reading the sequel!

I liked it. It was a fast read. I read it in one day and it was pretty good. I give it a solid 3.5 stars. The ending felt a little rushed. It went through all of the angst and stressed me out a little.....then it went straight to the epilogue and wrapped up. I would have like to know Tucker's reactions to what Cass did. I wanted to know how she dealt with her decision. It just felt like it was skipped over and we got straight to the end. I'm truing not to spoil anything. Overall I liked it.

**FAIL**

I fell in love with Tucker White right from the get go. I felt for Cass and wanted her to have her happily ever after. But i did not feel the spark, the connection between them. The story went by way to fast and it could have been so much better. SO. MUCH. BETTER.

Maybe next time???

Happy Reading :)

I loved this story and fell love w/Tucker and Cass. My heart broke for Cass. The poor girl just wanted to make a better life for herself and her mother, even her horrible boyfriend Jackson (god did I hate him). That damn Jackson made it so hard and impossible. When she met Tucker I was so happy for her and just wanted her to run away w/him ASAP.

You will fall in love w/Tucker as soon as you meet him. I so wanted more of Tucker in this book, but I knew it was Cass's story. Cass is one brave, stro...more

Loved it. This is the reason I went out and bought my Kindle. The only listing for this book available for purchase was for an e-reader and I had to have it. So I went out bought one and downloaded this book within seconds of getting home.

What more do we need for a love story than a worn down girl who works as a waitress, lives in a trailer park with a drug addict ass of a boyfriend and mother who comes across a stranger who feels a need to protect her.

This book made me cringe. It felt so...real. I loved it. Haven't you ever wondered what your life would be like if you didn't grow up in the same town or if you had both parents or only 1 parent or none? Every little thing changes your future and some people don't think they deserve love because of who or what they are. Some people think they don't deserve better because of who or what they are. Some people think they have no where else to go or have to take care of someone at home. In this book...more

I really enjoyed the story. It's not all rainbows and butterflies and you kinda want to beat the you know what out of the boyfriend but everything happens for a reason. I am a huge fan of Ms. Mummert's and really enjoy her other books. This read is completely different than her norm and I loved it!

I felt the end was rushed but I believe there will be a second book. If there isn't it still had closure. Also after reading that Adam Levine was Ms. Mummert's model for Tucker, I kinda want to stalk A...more
