Como siempre, la historia "platicadita" de Asimov nunca decepciona. Lo único lamentable de su colección de historia universal es que no haya podido hacerla más extensa. Lo mejor son los datos curiosos y anécdotas que suelen omitirse en libros más "formales" sobre el tema, y eso provoca que la lectura sea mucho más amena.
Un muy buen libro bien explicado de cómo fueron los primeros siglos en Inglaterra, las invasiones que hubo: sajones, normandos, vikingos, anglos y romanos. Finalmente cada invasión tuvo sus repercusiones y legados para las siguientes generaciones e Inglaterra, después de la última invasión de los Normandos el 13 de octubre en 1066 en la batalla de Hastings.

The Good Doctor presents the history of England and the British Isles, from the end of Briatin's Ice Age in 10,000 B.C. to the signing of The Magna Carta in 1215 A.D.; delivering it with his usual inimitably lucid and witty style. This is another one of the Good Doctor's many enjoyable and informative narratives covering the history of civilization.

Totally biased by the author's own experiences. Too many personal opinions, not objective at all. It needs a lot of updating, noticeably on the vikings and their motivations and the extent of their explorations.
