I think I got almost through this one. Maybe I even finished it. It was totally forgettable except for certain plot elements that bugged the heck out of me. Natalie Ross was good. Caught on Camera didn't prove worthy of my time.

Caught on Camera is Kim Law’s debut novel and yes, I’m a little late in the game. I actually started with her Sugar Springs series then Turtle Island as they released in the past. Kim Law is an auto-read author for me and since Caught in the Act releases this month; I obviously need to catch up. I will confess, I’ve read the ARC for the second installment as well and IT IS GOOD! IMO, both novels are stand-alones but I still reco

Sometimes you want to get away from all the craziness and escape into a world where the people are gorgeous and the girl always gets the man. That is my reason for reading romance novels usually. Lucky for me Caught On Camera was the quinessential romance novel and more. Each time I placed my eyes on the book I was instantly drawn into the world of Vera Zaragoza and JP Davenport and their attempts at refusing love until it hits them smack dab in the face.

"Caught on Camera" by Kim Law is a contemporary romance based in Atlanta, Georgia.

The premise was ridiculous:

A supermodel gets her name dragged through the mud after her affair with a married politician -- whom she thought was unattached-- was exposed. The rat bastard pulled the "I'm just a naive, innocent man who fell for a cunning woman's schemes" card a la Justin Timberlake after the Super Bowl and pinned everything on her. He called her a home wrecker, a social climber, an unscrupulous woman who seduced him so she could one day be First Lady, and bribed every single one

Caught on Camera is author Kim Law's debut novel. She uses the tried and true romance plot line of the wealthy golden boy who wants to rescue his working girl love. Law keeps it fresh and new making it ring true in this Cinderella-esque story. Is JP Davenport really the perfect man his public persona paints him to be? And Vega Zaragoza has had a taste of wealth and fame and isn't so easily charmed by JP's money.

Recommends it for: Anyone who loves a good romance!
This debut novel by Kim Law has it all! I give it 4 to 5 stars! There is heat, romance, and tons of secrets that keep you guessing! Can love or lust be found by bidding on a steamy hero at a charity bachelor auction? You will have to read the book to find out!

I know I would love to go out on a date with JP Davenport; he is a sweet, romantic hero that will do anything for the woman he loves. So different from what we think of politicians to be or the playboy he is known to be by the community.
Loved it from the first page to the last. Vega is the kind of strong heroine I long for in a romance novel, even if she doesn't necessarily start the story that way. The growth she undergoes as the story plays out is a thing of beauty. I also love JP. He doesn't take no for an answer, but he's not a domineering jerk either. He's a confident man with a hint of insecurity, who's man enough to make himself vulnerable and pursue what he wants with more than force. There are no simple misunderstandin ...more

Vega, is a honest, realistic an strong character. She carries her shameful secret an does her best to

A. Stay out of the public eye both solo but importantly not with JP

B. Tries to keep it light/ her distance with JP

JP on the other hand is a complexity of the mask he wears, cold, private an indifferent.
Conflicting turmoil for what is expected of him / what he has been groomed for & figuring out would HE would want an why
I absolutely enjoyed this book! It was recommended to me through email from Amazon! JP Davenport is the "JFK Jr" of Atlanta who falls hard for former model Vega Zaragoza! They both have secrets in their past that could come back to haunt them! Vega is determined to keep their relationship professional but JP's beauty and how he melts her heart with just a glance makes it difficult! With the Governor of Atlanta wanting JP to take the vacant Senatorial seat that was recently held by his cousin who ...more

Jackson Parker Davenport has been taught from birth that he was made for political life. He lives his life in the spotlight and lives up the playboy lifestyle.

Vega Zaragoza is an ex supermodel turned video journalist that has a secret that is not conducive to the life in the spotlight. She likes to stay behind the scenes.

Jackson and Vegas immediately have chemistry and agree to one night, that all it can ever be right?

This book was well written and flowed well. The story was a good one and I lik
Vega Zaragoza is haunted by her past. Shamed by falling in love with the wrong man years ago, she has doomed herself to a life of loneliness. No real satisfaction in her job or her private life. She stays behind the camera as a videographer for a television station, never putting herself out there, always hiding behind the camera, baggy clothes, little or no makeup and always wearing her long beautiful hair up. She can't be noticed. People can't find out who she really is.

This book is about a heroine who used to be a model but because of a past indiscretion goes into hiding until she meets the hero, a politician that at the beginning sees her as a challenge but ends up falling in love with her and letting out a few secrets of his own.

The characters Law created were very likeable, on many parts of the book she made you sympathize and sometimes empathize with the characters, like with the hero and his problem and the kids that he’s trying to help, and it was very n

Kim Law’s debut novel, CAUGHT ON CAMERA, caught my attention and never let go! The heroine is a woman hiding from her past who needs something from the hero to secure her future. The man has left a trail of broken hearts in his wake, so she fights to keep the spark of mutual attraction between them from turning into a full out blaze. But she can’t deny her attraction to the heat. This is a fun, sexy, fast-paced read I really enjoyed!

JP is one smok'n hot guy who happens to be in the spotlight at all times. When he meets Vega, he has to have her. Vegas is guarded to say the least and to get her to agree to spend time with him is a feat in itself. Personally I would have thrown in the hat and said this chick it too much work but then there wouldn't be a book! She was annoying be beyond belief with her constantly turning JP down. She wanted him just as much as he wanted her, and slowly she gave a l

I really enjoy Kim Law stories. They're interesting and sweet and always leave me with a smile on my face. This is another one of those stories where I truly pity those in the crosshairs of the media. I was standing in line at the grocery store the other day, reading the headlines of the gossip magazines. Some may be true, I suspect a lot of the stories aren't. Some may be fabricated just to get someone's name in the news again, and some feature people who I'm certain would much rather just lead ...more

Better Than Anticipated

I was only slightly interested in reading this book, and it sat on the virtual shelf of my kindle for several weeks before I opened it. I wasn't too impressed at the beginning, and am still wondering how Vega kept "hidden" for so long, but the story kept me intrigued and I stayed up late last night to finish it. Vega and JP both go back and forth with their feelings which could be tiresome to the reader, but then I remembered that's how real love works. Your heart and mind

Great chemistry between Vega and JP! Love that Kim Law made a politician appealing.
I really liked this one...very unique

Great debut. Can't wait for Kim Law's next book!
I was enthralled with the book (it's addictive but not that good) all up until the very end, when the entire plot was wrpped up tidily in about 5 pages.

Vega is a videographer for a Georgia news station. But, she has a secret past, she is an ex-model with a past. A past that I won't go into...but, I will say it is NOT that bad. JP Davenport is America's golden boy, most desired bachelor and the next US senator. Basically, the equivalent of a Kennedy.

So, they meet and basically he has to romance h
Vega just doesn't have great luck with men. First, she has her career derailed because of a scandal, and now she has to get an interview with Mr. Playboy himself, JP Davenport. Not only is JP yummy, but he is also following in his daddy's footsteps, and going into politics. As Vega attempts to get her much needed interview, JP just may seduce the pants right off of her. Should she jump into politics once again? Did she not learn her lesson the first time? As the two get hot and heavy, ca

It was a little long winded for such a sweet book. I felt that the back and forth was too much. It's good for a while, but at a certain point it just becomes irritating and feels like the author is just trying to create more drama to add pages. Overall, it was pretty good. I would have like the resolution to happen sooner. The whole, "I can't keep my hands off you, but we can't be together in public, but I won't be a secret" thing ran it's course way earlier than it actually ended in the book.

Wow and I must say wow. From the first page and on the book grabbed onto my attention. Sexy, fast-paced and fun with an integrating story line. Vega is a strong, independent woman main character who gets hurt by her life's past mistakes that put a damper on her dreams until she meets the sexy JP. The chemistry between the two characters nearly crackle out of the book like fireworks. I absolutely love how well thought-out and
Vega, the beautiful woman behind the camera; JP Davenport, the successful businessman destined for politics. What do they have in common? Secrets - secrets that each believes would ruin their lives if made public.

Kim Law's debut novel tells a story of two people thrown together and discover instant chemistry. But they cannot let it go too far. Fear that those secrets would be revealed is paralyzing to both of them, so both Vega and JP feel must hide who they really are.

I loved how the author ta

This was an audio book, I enjoyed the voices a lot. It is a funny read and I enjoyed listening to it. Vega is hiding from her past and will do anything to prevent from getting into the spot light, which could cost her, her job! JP!!! He will not take no for answer and that means pushing Vega to do what it is she that she has been hiding from for the past couple of years.
This was just ok. I listened to this audio book on my long commute to work. Missing the type of angsty drama that I like but it served its purpose of entertaining me on my drive.

Well written. Good story line. Really makes you want to read about the other members of this family. I plan to.

This is a story about overcoming your past and fighting for your future. I liked it and I can only see this series getting better with each installment.
