Did you know that, walking around in this great country of ours, there are brown people???? Yeah, I know. And as if things couldn't get crazy enough, not all of these brown people have poverty line-single parent-excessively urbanized stories. There are middle and upper class minorities yo!!! We don't all have street swag from fighting our way through gang and drug addict infected neighborhoods every day, we're not all cholos running around South L.A. hiding from immigration, and we're not all fi ...more

I'm not going to rate this book, nor really provide much of a review. I was awarded this book as an ARC. After I requested it, the author had a freebie on Amazon. I tried to read the freebie and just didn't click with the story or the writing. I was rather concerned about the ARC.

So, okay, I got an ARC copy and made two attempts in about a week and a half to read it. It just wasn't going to happen for me. To be fair, I'm not going to rate this book. I got about 30% the first time, a

The things he does are not enough! Geez. (audible whispersync review)

Well, the story started out good but fell a bit flat, dull, and annoying. The hero and heroine were just hard to like together. Raina was just a bit too much. Her character was not very pleasing or likable to be honest. NIck was supposed to be a bad boy wild child of the Alexander brothers and was basically just so nice in trying to please Raina so much it was nauseating. I just wanted him to dump her and be a bad boy again. It

What happens when you mix a woman desperate to have a baby, a man desperate to have the woman of his dreams, and a marriage based on a bargain?

... A severe headache

Ah hell...I really had very high expectations for this book. I read the prequel before reading this and couldn't wait to read this. But now I'm not quite sure how I feel about the over all story.

2.5, this heroine I didn't connect with, the story overall wasn't bad, just dragged on for me.
I really enjoyed this story the fights between the characters made their relationship that much hotter.I can't wait to read more about this family.
Love from afar that bringeth determination! Have you ever loved someone from afar so much that you were willing to do anything to make them yours.? The things I do for you tells just that story. A story of an attraction that went awry then comes full circle to create a match made in heaven. Mrs. Malone does an excellent job of taking an unconventional way of coming together and developed it into a true love story. The sexual chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts and portrayed ...more

I really enjoyed this book. Raina and Nick were something else. That had a true love/hate relationship that developed into a super intense love. Their coming together was unorthodox, but the building of their feelings for one another was a joy to read. The love scenes were so fiery and passionate, they make you feel like you are right their experiencing it with them. It was nice catching up with Ridley and Jackson. I can't believe those two really fell in love and married in a month, but it was ...more

Love the twins Ridley and raina

great follow up to book 1 I love when sequels continue with the first story such as with Jackson and Ridley. the progression was wonderful less drama then the first but enjoyed the journey of love.

I have enjoyed the books that I have read in this series. I'm looking forward to reading more. This book should not be read as a standalone. You should start with one more day by M. Malone. So far the first book has been my favorite, and drew me into this series. Each book has offered views from a big happy family, romance, and suspense. In this story I loved, how crazy in love Nick was with Raina. He would do anything for her. It took Raina a while before she realized that she was in love with ...more
Nick and Raina's story.

I liked this more than the first book. Raina's fiancée goes back to his ex-wife just as she is announcing her new reality TV show, the press gets aggressive asking questions about her fiancée so Nick steps in and says they are engaged.

Raina is desperate for a baby before her fertility dwindles to nothing and has been contemplating IVF, Nick offers to help but wants to do it the old-fashioned way with a Las Vegas wedding. I know, pretty far-fetched, but Nick is in love with

I really enjoyed this book right from the start, Raina is such a lovely character and you can feel her longing to have a baby, and Nick is sooooo hot, i wanted him to come and sweep me off my feet. The story is told by both Characters point of view so we get to feel what both are feeling and it leaves you feeling like you want to protect them both from each other, Raina because she is so keen to keep her heart intact that she refuses to beleive anyone could truly love her and Nick who wears his ...more

I hate to say that I didn't enjoy this book at all. I thought the premise made it sound interesting but it wasn't. It was tedious and annoying. This was all because of the heroine, who was the most selfish and infuriating character I may have ever read about.

The Alexander series is wonderful. Looking forward to reading more of this wonderful cast of characters.

I purchased this book because I really enjoyed the first one and I wanted to find out more about Nick and Raina's story. There is so much tension between them in the beginning and you find out its because they both want each other but do not think they can have each other. Once Nick learns that the one thing Raina really wants is a baby he is on board to help her achieve that goal. The story follows their relationship as they struggle to get pregnant and Raina struggles to realize that she deser ...more

My view

This is book #2 in the Alexander’s series. I did not read One More Day or the prequel Teasing Trent, but the book has enough information that the reader does not need to know the previous stories. The premise of The Things I Do for You is interesting enough to keep the reader engaged, but at the same time creates high expectations.

It is good to see a hero that is really in love from the beginning and is not afraid to show his feelings and fight for what he wants. On the other hand, it i
I previously had read Book 3 and then started from the beginning of the series. Honestly, the plot line of 'The Things I Do For You' was rather thin. The physical chemistry between Nick and Raina was believable but the sheer idiocy of the plot ticked me off. At 24, a model on top of her career, begins to spazz about her biological clock and fertility treatments? I guess that might be realistic for some women but to spazz to the point of marrying a man you're not quite in love with? Not so much. ...more

I liked this book but it left a lot to be desired, I just didn't love it. However, it has to be said that Malone creates strong, independent characters, if a little stubborn, who have minds of their own.
I liked the first book in this series, One More Day, more this. There was a lot more action, and a stronger storyline to the first one, whereas this book felt a little weak and seemed more like a background novella rather than its own book. I was really looking forward to Raina and Nick's story
What a sweet, romantic, unangst filled book. The book was well balanced with story line and romantic interludes. It isn't an over the top sex book but it does have it's moments. The only issue I had with this story is story line and continuity/flow of a few different portions.

There are at least two different scenes that I would have recommended that a portion of the the scene been moved. The parts reminded me of comedy acts where a big stack of papers are spilled all over the floor and the poor
Although the woman wants a baby well known trope, it had a fresh feel to it in this story. Raina was just the type of heroine I enjoy reading about: strong, yet with a sensitive and well hidden core that the hero must try to break through to get to know her. Nick was a man who knew what he wanted and went after it. He saw to that core of Raina and worked hard at showing her he was truly interested in knowing her and making all her dreams possible.

This story can be read alone but Nick and Raina’
I really liked the setup of this story. Nick and Raina had a one night-stand. Not wanting to get hurt, she left and ignored his later calls. She later gets engaged to another man and signs up to do a reality tv show about her wedding and pregnancy. But when said man cheats on her, Nick steps up to the plate.

I really liked the author's dry humor, which made the book fun. But I think it was probably a little longer than it should've been. I couldn't put the book down for probably the first 60%. Bu

My Review:
We met these two characters in the previous book and I was excited about their story. They had an amazingly sexy single night of sex, but Raina flaked out on Nick...wanting only that single night. He should have been okay with that since he's a notorious playboy. Yeah, not so much....he wanted more, so when Raina's fiance dumps her basically in front of the media, Nick steps up and claims her.

See Raina doesn't want a guy to love....she wants a baby and a marriage bargain to go with it.

After reading the first two books of “The Alexanders”, M. Malone had me hooked. Both were fast pace and good story lines which kept me wondering what was going to happen next.
In “The Things I Do for You,” Raina & Nic just didn’t keep me that intrigue and I found myself not rushing to finish the book, but actually couldn’t wait to end it. I did however finish it, but wasn’t feeling the same pull the first two had.

I have to admit in the beginning, the story line had me. Though the t

Why: Sequel to One More Day

Brief synopsis: Nick had always been content with his happy-go-lucky playboy status until one woman changed that for him - Raina Winters. Since their one night stand, he hadn't been able to get her out of his head but she clearly didn't feel the same as she'd avoided him ever since.

Raina wasn't looking for love, she wasn't even sure she believed in love until she met Nicholas Alexander. Terrified that he would

Book two of The Alexanders series, The Things I Do for You, opens with model Raina getting the great news that she's been greenlighted for a reality television series. However at the press event to announce the series, she finds out her fiancé has returned to his soap-star ex-wife. Her world collapses, not really because of losing her fiancé, but because he was her one hope of having a child before her time ran out due to some health issues.

Remember I mentioned I wanted to know what had happened
