I love this series and eagerly await the release of the next installment. A series that focuses/concentrates on one romantic couple is not usually my thing, but quite a few friends (including some who have never steered me wrong) here on GR's started posting amazing reviews about the first one Fatal Affair. Their reviews and comments praised both the book and the author all the way so I took the plunge…..Once I started reading it I was hooked and have continued to read and love every
The story centers around the murder of the wife of the White House deputy chief of staff. Also egregious is the kidnapping of their 13-month old daughter. As the investigation progresses, shocking discoveries are made that will impact the political landscape.

I really enjoyed this story as the investigation is front and center. It was perplexing to unravel, even though early suspicions point in an obvious direction as the details weren't as apparent. Relationships continue to move forward and pr

Once again Marie Force has given readers a well-crafted romantic suspense in the latest addition to her top-notch "Fatal" series. A perfect combination of love, passion and suspense!

The devotion between Sam and Nick continues to grow stronger and the romance only gets more creative and steamier. It's downright swoon-worthy. The chemistry and banter that goes on between Sam and Nick is nothing less than genius. MF continues to develop the depth in her main characters, as well as in the secondary
Marie, if it ain't broke .... Have read nearly all of Marie's books. Love them BUT, yep, going to be in the minority here - why bring in the spanking etc. Marie, you have a loyal following and I know you have said in other comments that you did not read Fifty but this book added a little bit of kinky that a lot of writers are "doing" at the moment. As I said, if it ain't broke, why fix it? I know most will not agree with me. I am not a prude, have my fair share of "toys" but kinda wish you had k ...more

This series just keeps getting better and that's saying something because it was pretty damn AWESOME from the start!!! I LOVE reading the progression of Nick and Sam's relationship. I LOVE reading about all my other favorite characters and how their relationships are progressing also. Freddie & Elin, Gonzo & Christina, Jeannie & Michael, Terry & Lindsey , Tinker Bell, Skip & Celia, Scotty, Tyrone, Harry..Oh...Harry he needs a woman!! and Avery...Oh...Avery needs a woman too a ...more
Another fantastic addition to the Fatal series, Fatal Deception is a book full of passion, love, intrigue, suspense and fun. I was drawn in on page one and loved it to the very last word. Marie Force's Fatal series jut gets better and better and while I feel like I say that every time, it is so true! Nick and Sam are one of my all-time favorite couples and, in the course of this series, I loved watching them fall in love, becoming a family and growing as a couple. Nothing is ever perfect but the ...more
Absolutely fantastic! This series gets better with each installment. The writing is fantastic, the dialogue and witty one liners never fails to put a smile on my face. Nick and Sam and the other wonderful characters in this series makes this a highly recommended read!

Whoa about giving us more of what we want...awesome, just awesome!

Fatal Fans are in for a TREAT!! Fatal Deception sizzles!

For me, Fatal books are one's to savor. Even if I get an ARC, I still wait because once I finish it, that's it for a while, I'm done. So I like to take my time, read slow and really ENJOY the time I get to spend with Sam, Nick and the whole Fatal crew. Yes, it did only take me a day to read this last installment, but every hour was soooooo worth the wait.

I hardly ever write book reviews, so please bare with me.

Over the past few weeks I've read the entire Fatal series for the first time, all 6 books. Let's just say I fell in love.

Marie Force's writing is astounding. I hardly have any quips about it. The characters she created were wonderful and relatable. Sam Holland and Nick Cappuano are amazing characters along with their large network of family and friends. There's a great character dynamic going on between all of them. It's hard not to get s

I've had mixed feelings about Marie Force's contemporaries (albeit I haven't yet started on her much-beloved McCarthys of Gansett Island series)... but I absolutely love her entire romantic suspense Fatal series. Featuring the same couple in a series of books can be a risky proposition (unless you're Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb and that couple is Eve & Roarke), since--much as it is on television-- it is easy for the plots to become either repetitive or increasingly far-fetched and the charact
Senator Nick Cuppauno and Lt. Samantha Holland's peaceful day off is interrupted when she is called out on a murder. The White House Chief of Staff's wife has been found beaten to death. Their one-year-old daughter is missing. With the help of FBI Agent Avery Hill, Sam and her team of detectives must uncover secrets from the victim's past...secrets that may have repercussions in the present.

Another excellent addition to Marie Force's Fatal series. As usual, the mystery is well written and not to
This I think is my favorite book of this series, just when I thought it was falling off a bit... MF comes back with a vengeance. Adding Avery Hill to this cast was absolutely perfect, nothing like unrequited lust to get the juices going.

This one turned up the sexual heat a bit higher than in the past novels not that they were slouches by any means. The crime was riveting, nothing better.

I listened to Felicity Munroe narrate this, Avery's voice could have been better... but then again the master
I absolutely love this series by Marie Force and in fact when I stumbled upon the story of Sam and Nick I read all five books in one week! What a great story she has woven around D.C. police Lieutenant Sam Holland and her now husband Senator Nick Cappuano. The play-by-play between the two of them just keeps getting hotter and hotter. Nick is the ultimate man; hot, sexy, sensitive and strong and Sam is his equal in all ways. The story is full of twists and turns, suspense, off the charts sex and ...more
Oh, how I love this series! I've said for ages now that Sam is one of my very favorite heroines, and this book just solidifies that. She is smart, loyal, stubborn, competent, and funny! You just can't get better than a romance that also provides plenty of mystery, drama, and laughs, and this book's got all that.
Although I I think you could read this latest addition in the Fatal series as a stand alone, it will be that much better if you read the other books first.
I can't wait to see what's up
Ok I am going to have withdrawal symptoms from not reading the Fatal series. Absolutlely amazing series to read. Highly highly recommend it.
This series continues to keep my interest. Interesting characters, good plot and a few twists along the way! Can't wait for the next installment

Book 5 in the Fatal Series and I am jonesing for the next book to come out. Nick and Sam are hot in this book. As they are enjoying newlywed bliss learning more about each others likes and building their lives together.

The story line is as always awesome with the death of a very high ranking officials wife and a missing baby the plot is thick and Sam and her homicide team are knee deep in it, of course with the help of an FBI agent she would rather not have to deal with and who Nick thinks is i

For those of you who have not yet read or started this series, Fatal Affair will be free from all ebook retailers until December 31st. Go out and get your copy now!

Sam&Nick are growing on me! ;) They are really wonderful and this series is getting better and better everytime. I still feel the need for comparison with another much-loved couple of me, Eve&Roarke, because of the similiarities between the 2 settings, both Eve and Sam work in law enforcement and their husbands are super-hot and VIP (in this last story Nick is going for vice-presidence... ).

But Sam&Nick are wonderful for themselves and so I loved them and I'm glad to see their relati

Another fab read that follows Lt. Sam Holland in the Metropolitan Police Dept. in D.C. when the wife of the White House Chief of Staff is found murdered and her one-year-old daughter is missing.

How sam solves the crimes and finds the big guns behind the deed captures the reader from page one and doesn't let go until the last page. Or maybe not even then!

I love these characters, including Nick, her Senator husband and even Avery Hill, the FBI agent who can't get Sam out of his mind, even though h
Oh, I am definitely love reading Marie Force suspense yet romance books. The Fatal series continue in Fatal Deception. Awww, this latest book was so good. I loved everything about it, especially Scotty.

Sam and Nick get better and better, I know it sounds impossible, but I just love them.

I love how Gonzo and Freddie are happy, they are just awesome and deserve that and much more.

One of the things I love about this series is that there is always more than a few stories going on, they are all well written and at least to me, none of them are boring.

The last 10% of this book ruined this series for me. I don’t understand why the author felt Sam and Nick needed kink for them to have better and hotter sex. Their chemistry and love life so far has been wonderful and very intense and hot. In light of the sexual activities and preference of Nick’s dead best friend Senator John O’Connor and the sex call ring run by other senators and high officials of the US Government, Nick and Sam’s love life has always felt in lack of a better word, pure and tr

Wow - it's amazing to read a series where each instalment is as good as the first. The interaction between the characters is really interesting and I love that there is some humour thrown in to lighten the mood somewhat. I am going to really miss these characters when this series ends.......that says it all right there.
I just love Mare Force and I just LOVE this series. Marie Force is an auto-buy for me and I never regret it. This series is getting better with each story. This one also turned up the heat-factor by time. I found myself getting all hot and bothered. Nick and Sam are hot.

Sam and Nick

This series just keeps getting better and better.
Love the addition of male model perfect FBI Agent Avery Hill to the amazing cast of characters and his private thoughts on the persona that is Lt Sam Holland – mouthy, ballsy, brave, irritating, and flat-out gorgeous. Add in Nick’s jealousy of Hill and LOL : “Don’t you dare lift your leg and pee on me.”

Best of the series thus far IMHO – cannot get through them fast enough !!! Once again a murder takes place on Capitol Hill intersecting the lives and jobs of Sam and Nick. And the previous cold c
Ein Mordfall in höchsten Kreisen also.
