Not going to lie: I downloaded this book based on the title and the fact that I figured it would probably be somewhat unbelievable (but still a little fun). Sadly, it terribly unbelievable rather than funny unbelievable. Sally's attraction to Dylan was hard to swallow. As was her "virginal lust" (even though Dylan swallowed it just fine). I just didn't buy it.

There wasn't much of a story not because the plot was weak, but because it seems like the author did not put a lot of effort and thought into it. Yes it was a short story, but I believe there was still some room for a lot of improvement, especially with why the virgin reacted the way she did to the "pirate's" advances; perhaps Ms. Towers could have described in more detail how the female had always been left dissatisfied with and even disenchanted by the little physical intimacy she shared with...more
This book is a great fast afternoon read; such a guilty indulgence. The story is fast and the characters intriguing. There is nothing like a bad boy to make turn up the steam in a romance novel, and this bad boy is all that and more. I am not usually a total romance reader, so the adventure factor was a big plus for me. "Lukewarm tale".
The idea seems potentially raunchy, young woman and a bunch of pirates, hey, they're gonna have a party! I'm afraid for me it was a party pooper, like being promised a rave but you turn up and find it's a handful of mates with a few cans, and the TV. I found the erotic parts lukewarm and too much time in the story was wasted on conversation. There's a twist in the story, although it was quite silly. Not raunchy enough.

Sadly painful in a way that I didn't enjoy. My favorite part about it was using the phrase "virginal lust" afterward. And making cracks about horny virgins.
