Alice, her brother and her grandparents go on holiday to Arcanum Cove where Alice discovers her remarkable new swimming ability. She meets her grandfather's friend, Felix, her enemy Hugh's grandfather. She learns that she has been left a legacy by a mysterious woman but to find it she and the group need to go to Aspen Island.

This book, intended for youngsters of around 9 - 12 years of age, is a thrilling adventure where discoveries are made, not only about the legacy Alice receives but about the...more

This is the third book in the Alice Parker's adventures. I loved it!

Alice Parker is a fantastic character! She is a very special girl. She is a Finwip (a descendant of fairies), and the only Finwip able to fly. Her abilities and powers are growing. Going on holiday seems like a great idea, until she is involved in a dangerous mission to unearth the secrets of Arcanum Cove. Alice, along with her brother and grandfather, will have to face a most cunning adversary, and comes face to face with an ol...more

I was given and e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is book 3 in the Alice Parker's Adventures Series.

Alice, Thomas, and their grandparents, and of course good ole' Jack head out for a much needed holiday. The Parker family will be staying with granddads old friend Felix and his wife. The place is lovely. There is a beautiful garden, lots of room for Jack to run, and has the perfect view of the beach. What more could they ask for? Well.....how about some time to enjoy it....more

If you loved the first 2 books in the series of Alice Parker, then you are going to love this one too! I know I did. This one has a lot of mystery with some unanswered questions that are finally answered. Again we see the characters develop further, more new characters are introduced, and one really bad one finds humility and manners! I really couldn't figure out what the connection was until the end and was blown away as usually I can foresee where an Author is going. Great job on keeping that...more

Alice is going to Arcanum Cove to visit an old friend of her Granddad’s, who is also a Finwip. They will be there for their family vacation. They learn about the nice Aquamici, who guard a secret treasure on an island, and the evil Aquatrox, who patrol the waters and steal from boats. When Alice meets the Wips (Winged person, but they are really short), they tell her of a book by a Finwip named Jessie. They think it is for Alice because she looked exactly like Jessie when Jessie was young. She g...more

Wow, just when you thought the series could not get any better. BAM the author hits you with another amazing book in this series.

Alice has not had a break from her adventures since she has became a Finwip. This time while on a holiday with her grandparents and brother they go and visit an old friend of her granddads. Felix Rowbottom, while there Alice learns that she is destined for greater things and has another ability. Wow Alice just has to be powerful! Well on this holiday Alice learns that...more

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Alice is back and she's on vacation, well it's supposed to be a vacation. As usual she finds herself in the middle of something and she has to get involved. She exhibits new abilities and makes some new friends. But who can she really trust when things are not always what they seem. She finds out that a lady that died long before Alice's birth, left a legacy for her. Nightmares and secrets abound it this 3rd installment. Will she be able to e...more

After Alice Parker's encounter with the menacing Mind Magician, she takes a well deserved holiday with her grandparents & brother. Eager to discover more about the mysterious stones that have granted her so many unique abilities, Alice is quickly pulled into another adventure as she attempts to uncover the secret of Arcanum Cove.

Another brilliantly written Alice Parker novel, by Nicola Palmer, that's accessible for kids of all ages (myself included). Once again it's painfully short, but this...more

I have loved the first 2 books in this series and knew I wouldn't be disappointed with the 3rd. It was a bit shorter than the first 2 (or felt like it, maybe I just devoured it in my excitement!) but it was still as excellent. If it had been padded out to make it longer it would have ruined the flow of the story.

Once again I have been left, eagerly anticipating the next installment of Alice Parker! The story is well written with language simple enough for kids to understand but not patronising,...more

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.

This is the third book in the series and they just get better and better. I really hope there is another book as I feel that Alice and her friends have so much more to offer. In this book we see Alice take a holiday that ends up a bit more stressful than the average "human" holiday an at the same time uncover's more of her abilities.

Trust me..... this is a good read

Alice on holiday in a Morris!! That's the only drawback, (still say it should have been a Rover P4)

Lots of new adventures & gifts for Alice and Thomas has a go at landscaping! An enchanted wood with magical Cocoons and Jessie!

I think Jessie might well feature in the future as a guiding hand as Alice grows.

And let's not forget Roger ....... the Shire Horse!!!
