My Thoughts:

I loved the unique vibe of this story. Well honestly, all the books are different, but this one starts out sort of deceptively. It's kind of a boy meets girl book. However, then you realize that these friends turned lovers are not exactly typical. They are both lethal killers and they don't want each other to know that. It was so cute how they both had feelings for each other and were just barely keeping things on a friendly level. Until those feeli

The 6th book in the GhostWalkers series, Predatory Game was a somewhat disappointing read for me. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't up to par with the previous books. It was nicer, sweeter and tamer, and I missed the fast paced and never-ending action typical of the series.

Jess Calhoun is a wheelchair-bound GhostWalker who was seriously injured in Mind Game and has been working "in the background" since then. To the world, he's just a retired Navy SEAL turned songwriter and radio station owner, but h...more

This was a hot one. So far all the books in the Ghostwalker series have been sizzling with incredibly virile, alpha males but not all couples have had great chemistry. Jess and Saber, however, are like an enzyme reaction...bubbling, sizzling, and setting each other off. The story both illuminates and complicates the on-going Ghostwalker narrative. These stories are complex with unfolding political intrigue, employing genetic man...more

Another terrific book in the series!

We get more on Jesse Calhoun in this one, and what he's been dealing with. As it's a continuation of the series, Feehan doesn't touch on a lot of the past. This one starts out different, and I think I liked it. It wasn't one of the GhostWalkers out looking for one of the women or out on a mission. It starts right in Jess's home. He'd met Saber, who answered a job ad, and has been his roommate for several months already. You get to feel how they interact right...more

This is a wonderful continuation of the Game Series by Christine Feehan.

This is the story of Jesse Calhoun, a Ghostwalker, who was severly injured in the second book, Mind Games. He is a Navy SEAL who has had to leave the teams because he can no longer walk. Saber Wynter, a woman that Dr. Whitney Sr. had experimented on when she was child, moves into his life, neither realizes what the other is.

But there is a loose cannon out for Saber, someone that Dr. Whitney can't keep under control, he is v...more

Ms. Feehan may be the "reigning queen of paranormal romance," but she's also the queen of the run-on sentence. ;-)She certainly has her own writing style: a lot of character emotion, lengthy dialogue, the tendency to reiterate.

With all that, I still enjoyed this book. There were some slow parts, but the end was full of action. Finally, seeing some headway in the Dr. Whitney issue. This was the first time--that I can remember--the girls from the orphanages having flower OR seasonal names. In the...more

Christine Feehan knows how to deliver an action packed story. I really enjoy that about her writing. And her world building is this series blows me away.

I truly enjoyed Jesse's story. It was refreshing after the gritty tales of the Norton twins. I liked that this novel was really about Jesse and Saber falling in love. Feehan's at a point in the series where it's in transition and that can often kill the romance, but not in Predatory Game. I got everything I've come to expect of this series: fas...more

This is a good series. Not one of the bests IMHO. I know many liked it and I just don't understand why I just cannot connect with it. Even though I gave 4 stars to some books in in this series I still feel it's too much for it, not because it's bad, just because it is not what I like to read. None of the books in this series was able to grab my attention seriously, with all of them I had to stop for for a while. I never could read a book without stopping once or even more times.

Still, this one...more

LOVED this book. Wonderful characters, great plot. Unique premise. Loved both Jesse and Saber. I picture her like Zoe Saldana (even though Saber has blue eyes-but then so did Zoe in "Avatar", lol) as someone tiny and delicate looking who can hold her own in a firefight. I loved that the hero was in a wheelchair, and I loved that the main characters started as friends and slowly learned to love, in the meantime kicking ass and taking names. Loved the hero's sister, and that he actually had a fami...more

I have just read the books and would state a few things in the book

I liked that there was was an attraction between saber and jesse but they ignored it and both thought it was one sided. and thus there was a more balanced book and not all sex So it seemed that at that point it wasn't as phermone lead as the others where going at each other everytime they see each other as the other books

This series barrels on with this, the fifth installment, which focuses around Jess (we first met him in the second book, he was the guard at Dahlia's asylum) and Saber, who was raised in one of the horror labs and is the perfect assassin- she can kill with a touch. Saber went AWOL from one of Peter Whitney's labs and has been on the run ever since, moving on before anyone can figure out who she is or before she can accidentally take someone's life. She has an unusually powerful, attractive voice...more

Jesse Calhoun, along with Ken and Jack Norton were introduced in the the second book in this series. He was Dahlia's handler and friend. He was also tortured for information on Dahlia. Ms. Feehan has a wonderful gift for introducing characters that grab your imagination and make you want to know more about them. Don't get me wrong I love all the characters that were introduced in the first book. I mean there were enough characters there to keep the series going for a long time. I was intrigued b...more

This wasn't my favorite of the series, but by the end the characters had grown on me. I thought the author was nearing the end of the series, but it appears there are already another three or four books in the series I wasn't aware of. I don't see what new ground we can cover at this point. At first I thought she was going to pair all the originals girls with the soldiers from Ryland's unit and that would be the end of it, but then she introduced more soldiers and more women and now I feel like...more

I thought this was just an ok book in this series. Mostly that had to do with the main charcter, Jesse. We have seen glimces of him in previous books and it seems like he didn't match what was written in this book.

In Mind Games his legs were servely damaged from the knees down. In this book we see him in a wheelchair dealing with the repercusions. When the book opens Saber and him have been living together for quite a while, but neither knew about the other as a GhostWalker. I find that hard to...more

I was slightly tempted to go with 3 stars, but...I think 'it was ok' more accurately describes the book and my experience with it.

This was my least favorite book of the series. I had high hopes for it (not to mention friends who favored Jesse out of all the GhostWalkers), but I was disappointed.

The errors were rampant in this one...and I'm talking FACTUAL errors regarding wheelchairs that would have been clarified if Ms. Feehan had done some actual research. Not to mention, the fact that a man...more

WOWZA !!!! I love Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker Series!!!

This 6th book tells the story of Jesse Calhoun and Saber Wynter and I.LOVED.IT!! New and exciting things happened, new information is revealed, we learned more concerning Peter Whitney and his ongoing manipulations of the Ghostwalkers; a baby is born, healing is performed and a move is made. Whew...all in one book! We are introduced to new characters and updated on many of our former heroes and heroines. Another emotional, h...more

the worst of the ghost walkers series so far, which means that the series that started with so much promise is probably just going to continue making replica works that purport to further the plot but actually don't even bother. unnecessarily obscene and graphic scenes with antagonist.

7hrs into this book

1. THERE IS NO ACTION
2. they are still tiptoeing around eachother
3. we are STILL in that "you're too good for me" and the "I need to hide my secrets" from you stage.

SMDH!! I like Christine Feehan but her weakness is when she gets to the middle of a series because that's when things like words and situations get repetitive.

40 mins left

We are STILL in the freaking angst filled emotional "you can't possibly love me" argument stage.

This story broke my heart. The story of Winter then Wyinter then Saber, her life as a little girl obliged by a monster to become a monster herself is so sad.

She's the perfect killer, her hands lethal, her nerves strong and that sadistic bast*ard of WHitney is still trying to get her back.

The love story here is very tender and sweet. I loved how Saber began to trust someone else besides herself. She had a terrible life, never being a child.

Another high adrenalic story, with some violent scenes....more

Predatory Game is the Ghostwalker story of Jess Calhoun and Saber Wynter.

I really did not like this book. At all.

The last two books in the Ghostwalker series were filled with action! Countries, battles, interesting backgrounds. Predatory Game takes place in a home. A regular ole town. There really isn’t anything spectacular about this book.

It’s like riding some super totally rockin’ awesome roller coaster and then riding the toddler kiddie rides. It just doesn’t work.

Another great addition to the Ghost walker series. Loved it! I am a huge fan of this series and each time I read one, I can't wait for the next one and this was no exception.

For me, this was one of the "nicer" books in this series. Jess and Saber were a rather "sweeter" couple than the others. Having said that I loved the chemistry and of course the sex was hot (when they finally got there). I am not a huge fan of the book scenario where they have known each other for months then they realise th...more

This novel is the epitome of sexy and dangerous. I can feel the love between the main characters, Saber Wynter and Jess Calhoun. I did not read the previous installments, and although I am usually very meticulous about reading a series in order, I decided I would take the plunge. I generally like Feehan's novels, and this one did not disappoint. The characters are complex, the gadgets are high-tech, the plot is weaved with mystery and danger, and the erotic scenes are filled with passion and tru...more

Saber Winter is running from her past, trying very hard to keep on top of her problems, some of which stem from the fact that she's a GhostWalker and she's afraid of what her powers could do. She's also afraid of being brought back in to the project and forced to kill, again.
Jess Calhoun is an ex-officer with the US Navy SEALS, now he's in a wheelchair and owns a radio station. Saber works for him and he's given her a place to stay as well. He's hoping that she will realise that he's in love wi...more

I love the Ghostwalkers, each one more than the last. This one was no exception. I found that I very much enjoyed both the characters and the story for this one, and I liked the fact that it went a bit off of the norm for this series in that the main characters didn't jump each other within the first few hours of meeting. Even though you know they are going to get their HEA, I was caught up in the action and the excitement right along with Saber and Jess. I hope to see more of them in the upcomi...more

OK. I admit, I like the psychic books. It's cool to think people can do all kinds of things with their minds. The characters in this book can heal and kill as well as move things with their minds. It's cool. What's not cool is that they were government experiments who are still being hunted by members of their own government, as well as the mad scientist who created them. This makes for some tense adventures, but it all works out in the end. Because this is part of a series, it's left a little o...more

I had low expectations going into Predatory Game, I thought it would be slow and not that interesting. So imagine my surprise when I found myself totally loving it and it has now become a favourite for me in the series along with Conspiracy Game.

I was abit reluctant to read a story with the hero/heroine already being best friends since I usually prefer to see the couple’s first meeting, but Christine managed to keep the tension and pique my interest from the get go. I loved Jesse and Saber both...more

4.5 stars.

I really loved this book! It had everything in it. Although it wasn't as dark as the previous book, the tone of this book was more suspenseful and maybe even creepier because there was a lot of mystery in this one, especially as the reader was positioned to have the desire to know who the (view spoiler)[stalker was. Who was the crazy stalker of the woman on the run Saber Wynter, one of the orphans who was psychically and physically enhanced to became an assassin at the age of 8, by Dr. Whitney. Dr. Whitney the multi-billionaire megalomaniac who is the genius master mind behind the Ghost Walkers. Was the stalker one of Dr. Whitney's men out to grab her and return her to the life of an assassin or just a crazed fan of her sultry voice on her night time radio show?
