Nice contemporary romance with an out-for-you theme. Rich is a closeted bar manager in a small Canadian town. He's very lonely and his last relationship ended in disaster. But now the new male nurse in town, Matthew, has caught his eye and he wants to take another chance.

This is a relaxed, fun read. There is surprisingly little angst despite the blurb. I especially loved the easy natural conversations between Rich and Matthew and between them and their friends and family. I liked the teasing hum...more

This was a nice story.
Matthew moves to a tiny rural town in Canada to help his elderly aunt! Sweet, isn't it? :)
Anyway, he's a nurse and starts a 'thing' with Rich, a very closeted Bar owner.

Despite the blurb and the beginning of the book there actually isn't much angst at all, and...more

Review Summary: A pastel sort of story, colorful and enjoyable but surprisingly bland.

He was more a neutral sort of character, which made it a little dif...more

3.5 stars. Good m/m romance about a deeply closeted bar owner in a small northern Ontario town who just can't stop himself from hooking up with the new nurse. Lots of homophobic comments and jokes, and "I'm not gay" talk from the bartender. :(
