Fantastic introduction to new paranormal series by Carrie Ann Ryan! The angel, Shade, is in trouble. The secret that supernatural beings exist is in danger of being exposed and it's all his fault - or is it?

Passionate romance and action packed intrigue will keep the pages turning. My only complaint was that I wanted it to be longer....so as usual, Ryan has left us begging for the sequel! Prepare to become a Carrie Ann Ryan addict :-))

This was a good 1st book in Carrie Ann Ryan’s new series. I really enjoyed the twist Carrie puts on the paranormal world in this book. I loved the cast of characters that Carrie creates and am looking forward to more books to learn more about them. I really want to know more about Dante. But I am getting ahead of myself. Dust of My Wings is Lily and Shade’s story.

Shade finds himself tasked with protecting the supernatural worlds secret. Because if it was not for him a mere human would not have...more

In Carrie Ann Ryan's new series Dante's Circle, humans have some kind of supernatural trait. Some just need a little kick to jump start their supernatural half.

Dust of my Wings was another quick read this week. The story was faced paced and sexy. A little sappy in some areas, but the story line is still solid and the character building is good as well.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Shade and Lily, they took to each other quickly and flowed together perfectly. There was also a good supporting c...more

cute, sexy, and funny! great book to open the series with. I am super excited to read the next Dante's Circle book. Lily is absolutely adorable with all her quirks and Shade is so soft hearted but a rock at the sametime. Loved this one Carrie!!!

Holy. Sexy. Angel. Wings. That's all I've got to say about Carrie Ann Ryan's latest release! This book was incredible to the max, though I do have to be honest. After reading her Redwood Pack series, I just didn't have the nerve to start this book at first. You get used to an author writing about one type of subject, and sometimes the switch over isn't always the greatest. Well, Carrie Ann Ryan has gone above and beyond and has the extreme talent to write about multiple paranormal subjects (i.e....more

I enjoyed the plot and the characters of Dust of My Wings but it lost a star for not having been copyedited - "vile" and "vial" are NOT interchangeable and that's just one of the most egregious examples. I have come to terms with the fact that books are going to have a typo or two in them - if bestsellers have them then midlist books will as well. Fine. But Dust of My Wings didn't seem to have been professionally edited at all and it kept throwing me out of the story. I wanted to be immersed in...more

Take one incredibly gorgeous angel, stir in one human woman with expressive emerald-green eyes and curves to die for and you have the recipe for a very hot explosion. Shade was a very old angel with honey colored skin, long blue and black hair, well built muscles all over his body and midnight black wings edged with deep blue. Lily was an average looking 27 year old lab technician with medium length chestnut brown hair, emerald green eyes and not too skinny but not too fat body. Average was how...more

4.5 Drops Review

I don’t know where to start with Dust of My Wings by Carrie Ann Ryan. The story of Shade, angel, and Lily, human (to start), has a lovely cast of characters that makes it easy to fall into the story and into their world.

Dust of My Wings is the first book in the Dante’s Circle series and WOW, what a start! In this case, it all starts with a vile of angel dust – specifically the dust from the angel Shade’s raven-like wings. Enter Lily, OCD chemist that has said vile of dust... Oh,...more

In a world where supernaturals exist and humans can awaken their supernatural DNA is a lot of things that are hidden and waiting to be discovered. Dust of my wings is Carrie Ann's new book in the Dante circle series and she did a good job with the introduction of angels and other beings. Lily and shade have great chemistry and I liked the way some of the twists leave openings for the plot to expand so much further with this series. Can't wait to see what happens in Ambrose story. Carrie Ann did...more

The first book in the Dante’s Circle series is a unique world of intrigue, greed, betrayal, romance and the supernatural. The story is fast paced and a quick and enjoyable read.

Shade is a warrior angel that enforces angel law. Lily is a lab tech that is told to analyze some blue dust. When his dust falls into the hands of the humans, Shade is sent to correct the problem and protect the supernatural secret, but his mission is complicated by suspicions that all is not what it seems and he finds hi...more

Dust of My Wings, the first novel in the Dante's Circle series, brings together the world of the supernatural and that of humans. Shade, a warrior angel, with a broken past, is sent by the angel council to earth to stop a human woman from uncovering the secret of the supernatural world. Lily, a lab tech with only a close group of friends to call "family", has been tasked with analyzing an odd substance, when her world is suddenly thrown into turmoil. As the story unfolds, strange events occur, b...more

I love the premise of these books. What a fabulous way to start a series! The seven girlfriends are all together at their favorite hangout when there is a bad storm and all of them get struck by lightning. The mayhem that this causes is the basis for this series. Lily is a wonderful heroine with great quirks that are funny to read about. I would love to have her as a friend. She and her friends are so loyal to each other it is very heartwarming to read about. It must be so comforting to have fri...more

Carrie Ann has done it again. She has managed to get me hooked on yet another series of hers. I immediately fell in love with the characters. Shade & Lily have amazing chemistry. Loved Ambrose. I can't wait for the next books to come out. This is a must read!!! Loved it!!!

Slow start, but I still thought the story was ok. I'll probably read Ambrose's story.

Found some typos in the Kindle version (angles for angels, rouge for rogue, etc.), so this book needs more polish.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were interesting & the steamy scenes were hot hot hot. It was funny, too. Shade is hot! I really look foward to Ambrose's book. Want it now!

Let me start by saying I LOVE Carrie Ann Ryan and I am a huge fan of hers, so when I was asked to read the Dante's Circle series for an event for Literal Addiction, I was honored to do so. I have read her Redwood Series and her Holiday Series but never got to this one because I thought if I feel in love with this series too than I was going to offically become a stalker of Carrie Ann's and become creepy. :)

I have never read anything like this, the mix of so many supernatural species peeked my cu...more

Dust of My Wings had a straightforward plot: Angels live among unsuspecting humans, and their existence must remain a secret at all costs. When a Lily, a lab tech and a human poses a threat to that secret, the angel warrior Shade is dispatched to make sure she can't go through with her job. But Shade falls in love with her. Their happiness is short-lived when a traitor amongst the angels threatens the peace but also targets Lily. However, Lily has a secre...more

I love the characters and romance. Lily and Shade are both stellar leads. Lily’s OCD but warm personality was unique and compelling. And Shade, whow-wee, he is one fine romance hero! He’s strong, powerful, gentle, and oh so loving to Lily.

I adore that both share their emotional vulnerability with each other. In my opinion, this is the foundation for strong romance and this novel built a sexual relationship on the couple’s emotional connection beautifully. I...more

Shade may be an angel, but only by physical definition – you know, the wings and all – but he doesn’t live in Heaven, and he definitely doesn’t behave like an “angel”. He’s got his own past to overcome from the Angelic Wars, and it makes for a somewhat tortured hero, though not as much as Ambrose; I’m looking forward to his story! Lily is a quirky heroine, making her pretty unique. For being a big bad warrior, Lily certainly seems to bring out the softer side of Shade.

The villain was your typic...more

What a great beginning to another series by Carrie Ann Ryan. As a fan of her Redwood Pack, I was eager to read about her new venture into another paranormal realm.

Shade is an Angel, a warrior angel who protects the supernatural world’s secret. He has a small problem, however, he keeps leaving dust which has fallen into the hands of Lily, a lab tech. He has to retrieve it before his secret is uncovered.

Shade didn't expect to be so attracted to her, just as Lily can't help what she feels towards...more

This was a truly wonderful and magical read from a brilliant author! We are all simply just human right ? Think again !

Lily thinks she is your average run of the mill kind of girl that is until she discovers a magical blue dust in her very neat lab and ends up being thrown into a thunderstorm that forever changes her life. Turns out she is not so normal and average human as she thought.

Enter Shade the very oh to yummy warrior angel. Now he has a rather difficult task of protecting the supernatur...more

Lily and Shade can't seem to keep away from each other.

I am so mad at myself. I had this book sitting on my Kindle since the beginning of September and just read it now. I am a huge fan of Carrie Ann Ryan and this book did not disappoint. Here are some of the things I loved about it:

*The whole concept of a circle of girlfriends who are all completely different but somehow are this amazing circle of friends is wonderful. I wish I had one. So often you read books and the heroine is all alone or has one or two good buddies. This opened up a whole new d...more

Dust of My Wings is an exciting read that presents angels in a whole new light (and there's not a harp to be seen) and holds great promise for future installments because of a sexy cast and intriguing genetic ramifications. From start to finish this book was full of surprises and likable characters that kept me turning the pages for more.

Lily Banner started out as a quiet lab tech with OCD whose only fun was spending time with her friends at the bar, Dante's Circle. Her life soon turns upside do...more

This is a great start to a series. I really liked Lily and Shade they had a lot of chemistry and Lily is stronger than she thinks she is even when her world becomes disorganized. Shade is there to fix a little dust issue in order to protect secrets of the paranormal world.

This book has a bit of everything (good vs evil, who did it, What is going to happen next, and of course sexy scenes). There were strong secondary characters, it was sweet where it needed to be, the characters grew and the endi...more

The blurb on this book suggests a quirky funny pnr, unfortunately the book failed to deliver in spades. Seriously there is a domino match between the leads.... a domino match! This book failed to deliver on every level. The leads are a dismal match and the whole lightning strike is just the poorest plot point ever. This couple are not hot and the romance is a complete fizzle.

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When...more
