Very good book. It started out with a bang when Ryder was shot and Grace came to his rescue. When she also came to the aid of a Mexican woman searching for her children, it put her right in the middle of Ryder's investigation. When she found out that these things were happening on her land, she insisted on being involved. I liked the interaction between Grace and Ryder. He was ready to settle down and had a definite idea of what he was looking for - someone who could work along side of him, but...more

He thinks he has his life planned out, become the leader of his team, find the perfect woman, which he even named, get married and have children. Grace is an Army nurse veteran suffering from PTSD after the recent death of her only brother. She never wants to get married and thinks that all relationships are not dest...more
The Spy Wore Spurs is another great little Harlequin Intrigue from Dana Marton. She always does such a great job with so few pages and this is no exception. This is a quick paced story. Book opens with Ryder McKay in a precarious position that is life or death and who comes to his rescue? That's right Grace Cordero the ex Army Medic who has done two tours in Iraq. Grace happens upon him and saves his life. Ryder is in the middle of a drug smuggling investigation on Grace's vast ranch. She comes...more

In Marton’s romantic suspense novel, Ryder McKay is on a mission when he’s shot and left for dead in South Texas. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself on Grace Cordero’s remote ranch. The former Army medic saved his life and he can’t tell her he suspects that dangerous smugglers are moving weapons and people across the border illegally without compromising his mission. But she knows the land and if anyone can find the tunnel, it’s Grace. Teaming together, they risk their lives and the...more
I usually like this author, but this one just didn't catch my interest. I had no real feel for the hero, Ryder. Grace was more developed - and I liked that although she did do some stupid things, at least she was trained as a solider and could defend herself, rescue poor enslaved immigrants and survive being buried, thrown over cliffs and heaven knows what else. All in all, I thought this could have been a lot better than it was.
It had me laughing, angry, and cried. Its a hard book to put down.
Ryder is a secret agent. Grace went back to the land she half-owned to spread the ashes of her brother. In the story, who is saving who ? Its a very fast pace adventure that you didn't want to end. There was a lot of sizzles in the story. Its a must-read book! You WON'T be disappoint to own this book.
