Last Vamp Standing picks up immediately after Vamped Up ends. Savage is still annihilating every haven he finds in an attempt to absorb as many mawares that he can. The vamps of Crimson Bay have found out about a hidden haven, Black Moon. It has always been a hidden sanctuary for elders only. Now the havenless vampires need a place to hide from Savage and the hidden elders are going to need help in defending themselves from Savage. Joining forces would make sense, but nothing is ever that simple...more

Last Vamp Standing was a fast-paced, smoking hot page turner, and a great end to a fantastic series.

Dante, the male lead, is deliciously tortured, and I fell for him almost immediately. I'm going to quote Meredith Grey from one of my fav T.V. shows, Grey's Anatomy, and say that he's "dark and twisty", and man do I love that about him. Dante's inner demons play a pivotal role in his relationship with the female lead, Ariana, as well as with the plot itself. Good stuff!

Favorite Lines: “Ariana, I’ve done things I’m not proud of. I’ve tried resisting the urges, but I’ve never made it long. In fact, resisting them seems to make things worse. I’ve blocked out and woken up in pools of blood, unsure where I am or what I’ve done.” (p. 203, e-galley)

I’ve been enjoying Kristin Miller‘s Vampires of Crimson Bay series and couldn’t wait to read book three, Last Vamp Standing. In the previous book, Vamped Up, we got to know a little bit about Dante. Enough that I knew his...more

I write dark and gritty paranormals for HarperCollins/Avon (INTERVAMPTION, VAMPED UP and LAST VAMP STANDING), fantasy/paranormals for Harlequin (CLAIMED BY DESIRE and FORBIDDEN BY FATE) and have dabbled in romantic suspense (DARK TIDE RISING). I've also ventured out on my own with ONE NIGHT TO REMEMBER, an erotic historical novella set on board the Titanic.
