This novel was neither too good or too bad. I found most of it chopped and spliced way too much to have a full emotional experience with the characters or the story. It was pretty unrelated, like an outer body experience.
Very good book. I really liked both Charlotte and Aaron. When Charlotte wakes up in a hospital she doesn't remember who she is or whose baby she is pregnant with. When Aaron shows up to rescue her she instinctively trusts him. She also has flashes of him in her memories. I really liked the way that even though she couldn't remember the details of her life she was determined to save herself. Because she and Aaron had a history together there were several places where each of them had to decide wh ...more

This was a good book to read in a day. The story starts out with a young lady waking up, pregnant and in a hospital bed. She does not remember who she is, and is shocked to find out she is pregnant. Not only is she is a hospital, but her hands are tied to the bed. Once she gets her memory back she still has lots more questions. She is not the typical damsel in distress. She may be pregnant, but that does not make her weak. She is handy with her gun, and was in the thick of the action. The suspen ...more

In Childs’ romantic suspense novel, a princess and her lookalike are kidnapped and Aaron Timmer is hired to find them. As a bodyguard to the king, Aaron’s mission is to find the women and protect them. When a woman wakes up in a hospital pregnant and with no memory of who she is or what has happened, Aaron steps in to protect her and her unborn child.

Another installment to the Royal Bodyguards series.

It was an average Harlequin. I was hoping that the female lead would be Princess Gabriella instead of Charlotte, but oh well. It wasn't very clear on who the bad guys were. I know there was a lot of speculation for different people, different theories and suspicions, but nothing clearly stated. And, of course, the ambiguous "the princess is always in danger," which means that the bad guys still are definitively stated. Meh.

This book, like "Royal Rescue" had a lot of suspense and action. The lines are more blurred here, as there are more players eager to see the princess and her doppelganger come to harm. And like "Royal Rescue", the villain(s) is/are hard to guess.

Though this was a good read, I still prefer "Royal Rescue". I'm looking forward to reading Whit's story.

Good concept, badly executed.

The Character and their personality were all complicated halfway, names kept popping up that I lost my patience quickly.
