Very good book. It started out with a bang, with Laurie in the hands of the outlaws and needing to be rescued. She's scared but she doesn't plan to go down easily. Boon rides in to save her and from there they are trying to evade the outlaws. I really liked both Laurie and Boon. Her capture was luck on the outlaws' side and some carelessness on hers, though I'm not so sure she could have avoided it. I liked the way she stayed alert and watchful for a chance to get away. Even though she believed ...more
This book was another fail by this author, for me. It actually could have been a really good book minus a couple of major issues. First, I didn't like the whole H "comforting" the h right off the bat. It was just weird and out of place, especially considering the H was a virgin. Then too was the H sleeping with the h without marriage though he had such strong principles about this that he was a virgin at 19, despite being raised by prostitutes. The H and h are 19 & 18, and I felt the story w ...more
How does one become an outlaw? Be in the wrong place at the right time. How does one become a law abiding citizen again? Take away the other outlaws kidnap victim and return her to her father... Plenty of action with the things Boon has to do to get Laurie away from the real outlaws. His actions aren't quite good enough for her father when Boon returns her but she shows her affections for Boon. Since the father doesn't think Boon is good enough for his daughter, he forces him to leave town. Boon ...more
It's been years since I've read a Harlequin book so I was really glad when I won this book here on goodreads. Also, the author is so kind that she also sent me a copy of another book she wrote, but in french wich I thought was really considerate of her.

The texas ranger's daughter was a fast-paced story that I really enjoyed.I wished the secondary characters were a little more developped however. At the end of the day, this book was a great way to get back into this genre.

I enjoyed reading this book. This is a true historical western romance. The hero and the heroine was likable . This is about where the hero is sent to save the lady from bad guys. I enjoyed reading it and giving it a 4 star.
