Review Taken From The Pewter Wolf
Set a year before the events of Witch Eyes, all Braden wants is to have a friend or two. But being a witch in training that has to be homeschooled... well... that makes having friends hard. So, what's the worse that could happen if Braden uses a small charisma spell?
Now, seeing as I got a bit of a crush on Braden, of course I'm going to love thiss short story. I loved how the voice was still the same and to see more of his interaction with his uncle as we only go...more

THIS PREQUEL KICKED ASS AND TOOK NAMES!!!!!!
Always a joy to read a story where a gay male protagonist is actually portrayed with depth and with RESPECT. If I have one complaint, it's that I was hungry for more at the end of the story and was so mad that it ended.
Can't wait for the second book to be released. October can't get here fast enough.

This was a good introduction to the Witch Eyes series. I felt like I got a taste of what the first book will be like, and it made me want to read more.
My major criticism so far is the language. We had an "f-bomb" and more mild profanity in fewer than 30 pages, and that is a bit high on the profanity scale for my taste.

Scott wrote his autobiography at age six, and its all been downhill since then. He traveled the country on a Greyhound for a month, devoted a semester of school to starting a series of urban legends, and spent five years perfecting how to say "would you like fries with that" for a short story. Or so he claims.
