Although it took me a while to read this all the way through, getting distracted as I do by young adult reads, I am glad I finished it and was able to have a great discussion about it with the author, who is also one of my favorite high school friends, this summer at the beach. I could hear his voice distinctly in the writing and I applaud his ability to write and publish a novel that strives to challenge the reader.
