I live within a stone's throw of Boston, MA, with the love of my life, a ceaselessly demanding and abusive mackerel cat (see photo), and thousands of history books. When not teaching or writing, I dream of going back in time to buy Coca-Cola stock and making love to long-dead actresses. I fantasize about old British convertibles, collect autographs of deceased kings, and do my best to reignite for ...more
