Can't wait for this book. I seriously hope that in some way Rachel can bring in a love triangle with Clair, Shane, and Myrnin! Myrnin is my most favorite character please Rachel bring the drama!!!
A lot of people hate how this series isn't ending but I LOVE it. I never want it to end...I love the anticipation and waiting for the next one.
Also so people know that's Claire on the cover. it seems to always change to Claire to eve then maybe Claire and Shane or Michael

I think how Rachel Caine plots this series could go on forever, it's just fantastic. Even though the plots may be repetitive but to me the character growth is just wonderful and how most of us seem sort of connected to the characters in some way (view spoiler)...more

Where to start with this book.Im not even sure and never thought Id read a Morganville book that left me feeling less than satisfied.let nalone one I would rate under 5 stars! 3.5 i'd say at best.
The story was just so much,a little bit too much.I know Rachel has always had a lot going on in all of the stories but they all interacted at some point and though that did happen in this story as well I didnt feel it,it didnt fit at all.Gah I want to scream about this story so,so much was...more

Oh this was kind of weird but good! :D
Morganville is finally moving towards some place and I like it. The characters are growing up and the grown ups are defined more clearly.
You can't read a Rachel Caine book and expect anything else than an action packed, intense and cleverly written plot. Bitter Blood delivered all those things and left me waiting for the next book one more time! There aren't many series that can keep readers hooked after that many sequels... So what's more to say?

How can I possibly explain how utterly awesome this book was? I devoured it. It had everything I was hoping for, which means it had Myrnin, Claire/Myrnin, Claire, Amelie, Amelie/Oliver, Eve, Eve/Michael, adventure, shocking events, constant danger... It was so nice getting to once again re visit these great characters... with the exception of Shane of course (I am an avid supporter of the "let's kill Shane" fan club; there's more of us than you think). As excited as I am for this book to be in my hands right now, I don't ever want this series to come to an end!

It always seems that I forget how much I enjoy the Morganville Vampire series until I pick up the next book. I’m always a book behind as I wait to purchase the paperback copy and it seems like I forget about Michael, Eve, Shane and Claire far too easily.
BITTER BLOOD was a really good continuation for me. Is it as perfect as it was at the beginning? No, but a series is supposed to grow and I believe Claire did some MAJOR growing in BITTER BLOOD. I do wis...more

I've not liked a Morganville book this much for a while. The last few books were good but not as good-to me- as the first ones. So this installment came as a pleasant surprise.
Many things happened in this book, sad, heart-breaking things. Things I wanted to happen since the beginning, things I was afraid might happen... I suppose I could count thm off but I rather not spoil the story for those who hasn't read it yet, but just trust me when I say, this book is full of twists.

Just barely 4 stars.
The first 75% of this book was just a little better than "okay"...I saw flashes of the things I love in this series, but it never really sucked me in and made me not want to put it down. It was all set for a 3 star review, BUT then page 310 happened...and THEN page 345 (OH. EM. GEE!!!!!) and I was TOTALLY hooked!!! Everything just seemed to fall back into place, the action, the humor, the romance that I love...the last 25% of the book was GREAT!

Have you been dying to read more of Claire, Shane, Michael and Eve ? To see what they have been up to since the last book ? In Bitter Blood, like the previous few books since about Bite Club we see that Rachel Caine has decided to write each chapter from the POV of a different character - be it Eve, Claire, Shane, Michael and in Bitter Blood - Oliver, Amelie and Myrin also have their own chapters. To be honest this one was one of the most boring of the books I mean yes it sux that the vamps are becomeing more strict and taking over and making everyone regiter and have proper id cards but in the begining they had to have braclets of protection as well so whats the big deal and the whole free hunting thing as if they were not already doing that before. I rated this book with three stars because it was pretty steady throughout the book. It wasn't necessarily bad, it just wasn't great. I was disappointed in this book because it's the thirteenth book in the series yet it was not as good as the others. The last thirty pages of it were terrific though. I'm just sad and empty now. Two books left, and I have to wait for them. I feel depressed.
Yeah, I know, get a grip.
But it's as fantastic as it ever was to me. This one was kind of close to the wire, too. I kept looking at what was left thinking she'd leave on some godawful cliffhanger. Soooo glad she didn't, I might have crushed my phone underfoot in a blind rage.

Now I've given all the Morganville books reveiws, so must with this one too. But I just keep...just GRRR! Now I loved the book but there was some things that I didn't like at all.

Like all the Morganville vampire books, this one meanders a bit until it gets going and by that I mean that it takes the plot a bit to roll out, but once it does it is hard to stop reading. Now, having said that, the plot didn't really grab me until close to 300 pages of a 404 page novel so it does take some patience.

Thirteenth in the Morganville Vampires urban fantasy series for young adults and revolving around Claire Danvers, a student at Texas Prairie University in Morganville, Texas, and her housemates.

Morganville is tense. On the outside it looks like the town is rebuilding and calm , but underneath trouble is brewing. Vampires and humans aren’t happy with there status between each other and full out war seems to be waiting just around the corner. Once again our friends are trapped in the middle. I found this book very disappointing. Even more so than the last one, which I found VERY DISAPPOINTING. This series is probably (here read definitely) a little immature for me to still be reading now, but I'm a little in love with Myrnin, so.....
I can't understand a lot of the rave reviews on here. To my mind, the series has been going steadily downhill for a few books, now.

This is the best vampire series I've ever gotten my hands on, that's for sure. And despite the fact that a lot of the characters piss me off in these novels, there are other ones that make up for it. Like in this book, there are so many times I can say I wanted to smash Michael to pieces and strangle Shane, but then I was more intent on hearing the rest of the story than going through all of that.
