This is the second book in a series a novelettes. There are 8 total, but the first 4 are the main story while books 5-8 are alternate points of view that tie into the main story. The second book in this series is just as riveting as the first. It goes into some of the deeper ideas of people of two cultures living in the same place. Toward the climax, a little incident, which might be lost on some readers, made me eager to find out what happens with a possible clash of culture in book 3!

I liked the first one better than this one. This was just too short. And I agree with other reviewers that the language barrier should not have been so hard to overcome. Still, I like this author, the space theme, and the way he deals with the issues and choices of his characters.

Another book in Joe Vasick's Star Wanderer series. "Is fidelity worth the price of freedom?" and "Can love take root beyond the stars"? These tag lines basically say it all. Follow Jeremiah and Noemi as they try to find these answers out!

A great story about a man deciding what sacrifices he will make for love in a society that is rapidly becoming less and less friendly towards him and his wife. It's an interesting take on sci-fi as it shows what happens to the common people as galactic power shifts.
