I highly recommend this book to anyone that is currently battling breast cancer and to anyone that has won the fight!

Being a person that has recently won the fight against breast cancer I could relate to many of the stories, which is a healing process all unto its own.

Maybe 2.5 stars -- I couldn't really relate to it that well - I do things/handle things differently than most, including this disease. I just didn't see a lot of unique or inspiring ways of handling the situation. Also, I'm not religious, and there's a lot of "faith" discussed in it. And of course, some of the stories in it didn't have a positive outcome, so sometimes it could be a bit "heavy." The stories all start out with that familiar dread - fear, anger, upset, worry, etc. -- the same thing ...more

Good short stories of cancer survivors, many from right here in the Silicon Valley, and some who've taken on Rusty Hammer's challenge to build a community where healing can take place for everyone affected by cancer: The Wellness Community of Silicon Valley. This is good for when you're not feeling great and need a pick-me-up in just a few pages.

For a Breast Cancer Survivor like me, I liked the fun cartoons mixed with the stories from people that has went through the same thing like me.
We need humor here, but we need it from people that know how we feel and act in any given situation.

I am biased, because I have a story in this book. However, that said, this is one of my favorite Chicken Soup books, because so many of the stories are inspiring.
