One of these days I will actually start LISTENING to what the Universe is trying to tell me! A few years ago I kept hearing about tapping. I didn't look into it though, and just passively heard tidbits about it here and there. Recently, though, the subject kept showing up IN MY FACE. I heard about it EVERYWHERE. I felt really intrigued by the idea, and synchronistically had been looking for ways to relieve stress in my life. I begrudgingly decided to give it a try and ordered this book from Nick...more

What a fantastic and enlightening book. As bizarre as this practice seems at the outset, this method really works. I've used The Tapping Solution for various aches and pains.... back, neck, headache, tension, etc.

One might find himself feeling rather odd going through the various tapping solutions. But once the reader realizes that this stuff really works, they probably won't care how odd it may be.

Right now, I am working on the stress relief portion of the Tapping Solution, and little by little...more

The Tapping Solution, by Nick Ortner, promises to be a revolutionary system for stress-free living. Ortner not only delivers on his promise, but offers detailed tapping sequences for a broad range of issues; from releasing physical pain to losing those extra pounds.

I was as skeptical as Ortner was when he first tried tapping. But I tried it, and it worked!

What is tapping, anyway?

Tapping, or Emotional Freedom Technique, is a medley of counseling intervention and stimulation of meridian acupoints....more
As of this writing, I am currently reading this book. I think it is well written and has lots of good insights. I have read other books on E.F.T. and I would say that so far this is my favorite book on the subject. I feel that way because I love the little nuances and deep insights that the author presents throughout the book. E.F.T. is a technique that mixes modern psychology and the healing art of reflexology together. E.F.T. has been shown to help people with all kinds of life issues from hea...more

This is a valuable and amazing book that teaches the practical use of EFT, or tapping. I discovered that EFT works! And after reading this, now I understand why! Recommended for all.

"Many people worry that by focusing on their anger, grief, stress or anxiety while tapping, they might be attracting negativity into their lives. ...There's nothing wrong with experiencing negative thoughts, emotions, beliefs and symptoms. I'd argue that it's human to experience all of those at various times. It's wh...more
The Tapping Solution - A Revolutionary System for Stress-free Living, by Nick Ortner/book.

I discovered tapping a couple of months ago, listening to one of Louise Hay's interviews where she mentioned the practice. Then, I searched for it on youtube and found a few interesting videos describing how to use tapping and actually started working on it myself. Nick's book came at the right time: to complement my beginner's curiosity and knowledge of this revolutionary system, as he describes it himself...more
I've been checking out a lot of books on stress and meditation lately and found that this book drew me in. It's based on a simple form of accupressure that involves tapping various points on the body while repeating phrases pertaining to what your goal is. It enables you to get a grasp for what's causing your "pains"and works to alleviate them. The book covers a wide variety of uses for the exercises including stress management, overcoming fears, losing weight, and more. The author gives real li...more
This is a fascinating idea. 'Tapping' acupressure points to relieve stress and pain is something I have only recently heard of, so I purchased this book for details. I think it's an excellent book for beginners, as the author shares not only the history of EFT, but very detailed instructions. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5* is that the style of writing felt a little like an infomercial. The actual information was great. He includes a number of actual scripts to use and shares some...more
I was introduced to tapping around the end of 2010.
Got the 2011 Tapping World Summit program and the dvd, “Use it on everything”. For some reason I didn’t start listening to any of it before last November. I then followed the 7 week program, and listened in on the 2013 Tapping World Summit, and now I simply can’t get enough.
I thought it couldn’t be better than that. But this book is the Tapping Bible!
I have read it and used it and it is SO EASY. And Nick Ortner really makes the technique down to...more

I am going to sit in neutral territory here. This book is not for people who are readers of self help books or are well versed in affirmations. Whilst EFT (or Tapping) is a new concept for many it can be learned easier enough through internet articles and websites.

The book is good for those who are new to affirmations, self help concepts. Every body else will find it very ho hum (like I did).

In saying all this Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique is very very effective and what this book did f...more

The Tapping Solution: A Revolutionary System for Stress-Free Living by Nick Ortner is a book which everyone should read. This book is based on a system that uses a form of Chinese acupressure and modern psychology to help relieve pain.

The simple act of tapping on specific points on the body located along the body's energy meridians helps people release their fear of change, stress, achieving one's dreams, creating loving r...more
The four-star review is for this method. I have tried it, and though the means are not entirely scientific, I have noticed great benefit. The book, unfortunately, is written like an infomercial. In my experience and opinion, tapping is a great add-on therapy for a wide range of psychosomatic issues. I don't think it will cure everything that ails you in five minutes, and I wish the book was written to temper such expectations. Acting like this is a miracle cure takes away from the powerful fact...more
I found this info very thought provoking. Its cool that tapping is something you can easily try and determine if it works for you. I did a lot of tapping the week before getting an MRI, which is a very stressful thing for me. It definitely helped reduce my level of panic about being in the closed-in machine. I'm finding it useful in general for dealing with stress/anxiety. I read this as a library book but its one that I'm planning to purchase since I think its likely I'll use it as reference in...more

What's found within is not a cure for anything. Instead, it's a means for your mind to get out of the way so the body can attempt to heal itself. The principles found here are 5000 years old, and they work. What Nick Ortner has done here is simplified it to the point where you can go as deep or not as you choose into any physical, mental, or emotional issue. As there is literally no way to make the problem worse than it was when you started, and as there is no way to do this wrong, it's worth gi...more

The only book you need

The techniques provided in this book cannot be described anything more than "life changing". I highly recommend this because it has made a huge difference in my life. Tapping has provided me with an alternative way of life. I have read many self-help books and this has been the only one that I would truly recommend.

Very interesting idea, using a technique of tapping on the meridian points while saying affirmations to address problems or challenges in life. I've been trying it for a few days and it really does seem to reduce anxiety. Going to keep it up, it's a simple technique.
if this book is representative, tapping has as much to do with visualization as it does with the actual tapping process. Because of that, I was quite disappointed with this book, because it doesn't represent itself accurately in the description.
Interesting concept, I have met Nick Ortner and he is a nice guy. I think this could really work I am still practicing to get this right!
Loved it...The tapping experiences help me to feel more peaceful, uplifted, happier in my Life here on Earth :-D

The book is fluffed and repetitive, but you will get surprising results with tapping scary how it really works.
Oddly useful.
Read this on the recommendation of a friend. It sent all my hooey alarms off. It is meditation while poking yourself with a finger. I personally don't do we'll with quiet time, I'm a doer not a wallower. Meditation is not my thing. Which some of you could argue is why I should do tapping. This book has helped others, and my friend as well. I honestly think its more the power of suggestion, just as people think prayer works or the placebo effect. But if it works for you - tap away!! Just not for...more
The Tapping Solution(EFA--Emotional Freedom Technique) involves tapping on 8 meridian points on the head and upper chest area. It's quick and easy to learn how to do. By accessing these meridians, tapping helps to diffuse acquired fears , stress, anger, and is a conduit to healing physical ailments. This technique takes the person into an introspective state, and reveals new insights and triggers long forgotten and unaddressed traumas.

Yes, it is effective and I highly recommend this book for any...more
Once you start using this, it is easier to see other opportunities in your life where it can be applied. Any fears you face or any obstacles in your path can dissolve when you use it. It really is amazing! I am so glad I found it. I have already shared some of it with others and I hope to show it off to more people soon. I think if more people used it, we would have a much happier and more satisfied culture.
useful for all!

I am going to try this method. It does come across a little like magic but I have nothing to lose in trying it. The hard part will be putting together the positive cognitive therapy responses without the assistance of a therapist. I can approach it as a role play, though, and make the suggestions I might say if someone else were sharing the thoughts with me.

I'll report back.

A profoundly important book to me. The hardest part is telling people how great it is without shoving it down their throats. I WANT to shove this down people's throats, though -- tapping is THAT effective! It really is life-changing. In the meantime, I'll just give it five stars and tell who I can.
Christine Mcmullin
I was a skeptic when I picked up the book. While I haven't experienced cessation of headaches or minor pain, I do have to say the tapping sequence simply feels good and does give me a sense of being grounded. In addition to mediation I think it will be a practice I continue.
Not a lot of new information if you know about EFT. Good for a novice, but a bit pricey when you basically just need to know the basics of where to tap and what to say.

“Under chronic stress, your body is more apt to enter a state of dis-ease. Unable to achieve its natural balance, it can’t function the way it should. The ripple effects can be profound.
