OMG. May 7? That's the best Christmas present.

Just finished Toxic and I loved it, even if I wanted to kill Kale most of the time (I wish he would think before doing stupid things like kissing that bitch). If he cheats on Dez I'll hate him forever.
Dez rocks and Alex is such a bad ass knight in shining armor.
Can't wait to read Tremble. I really like Aubrey. Hope we see him again in Tremble and I hope nothing bad happens with Alex.

I loved this series so much, i loved the first book, Touch, and when the second one came, Toxic, i really hated it.

And then i find out that Kale did something i HATE and since i couldn't forgive him for it, and i thought it was better to quit before i lose my patience and time pointlessly.

I didn't like where it ended.
Okay... So, first Jade then now- Keiran (Diebitchesdie)! I want to strangle all the girls whose around Kale cough whore. I hurt for Dez. I'm quite possessive when it comes to my favorite book boyfriend Kale.
Sometimes he's too innocent for his own good. In this book though, Kale was so different I cry for the old one. I want my old Kale back!

Overall, I love the action scenes, Deznee Cross still the badass chick I knew.

I may be biased since I've loved this series from the beginning, but I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book! The story continues a little while after the ending of book 2. It was certainly a kick to the gut finding out what happened to Kiernan and Kale. I absolutely wanted to slap her silly because I hate her with a passion. Even though we're shed some light on her hatred for Dez, I still hate her (a tiny bit less, but still with a passion).

Jus Accardo is back but this time with the third instalment in the Denazen series - Tremble. Am I the only one who thought this was the final book? Well, you can imagine my surprise when I reached the end and was like no way is that the end, it can't be! Thankfully, after a bit of Internet searching, I realised I'd completely forgot that it was now a five part series, rather than just three. Thank the lord! Because there is no way I would have been happy with that ending.

Anyways, Tremble picks up shortly after Toxic ends and Dez isn't haven't the best of time. She's trying to locate Kale - who is now in the hands of her father and Denazen. However, when Dez finally finds Kale, or should I say, Kale finds Dez, he's not the same person she once knew. Dez has the hardest and most emotional job in the world and that's trying to get Kale to remember who he is, while also trying to locate more Six's, trying to keep her health up, which is slowly getting worse, oh and trying to stay out of sight of Denazen because she's now officially on their hit list.

Aw, Dez's life is never easy is it? And that's one of the reasons I enjoy this series so much. Dez is a kick-ass main character, she's got attitude and style, she's rash and unpredictable and also pretty funny too. And Kale, one of my favourite book boyfriends, he never seizes to amaze me. Because of Dez and Kale's circumstance's in Tremble, they have so many emotional times together. Kale's different because of what Denazen have done to him. Of course Dez is there every step of the way but, if you thought Toxic was emotional with the whole 'jade' thing, what until you read this. Get the tissue's ready!

I'm really enjoying the direction this series is going. The plot keeps getting thicker and thicker and it's still very unpredictable - which is fantastic. New characters are introduced and it not once feels like Jus is just adding them as filler characters. Each new character needs to be there and I really enjoyed getting to know them.

Overall, Tremble was a great addition to the series, and even though it wasn't my favourite, I still love this series. It's safe to say, I'm excited to see what will happen next and Jus hasn't disappointed me so far, and I don't think she will.(less)

This was awful. I used to love the series but now I HATE it with a burning passion. Why? Because of the so called hero, Kale. The wanker. He was a fucking bastard. Once upon a time he was one of my favourite YA heroes but now he's one of my most despised.

Kale was a cheating MOTHERFUCKER that got away with all his cheating and douchery. Oh and he was also violent towards Dez (the heroine) on a few different occasions. Was I meant to find that sweet or romantic? I didn't. I can't believe...more

Because Alex and Jade (yes, her) have made it their mission to get Dez back to her old life, she finds herself at a nix rave. While there, something (or someone) catches her eye. In typical Dez fashion, she follows and happens to find that the person is Kiernan. After a bit of a confrontation, Dez happens to come face to face with Kale…but not the Kale she knows. As Alex joins the party it becomes very clear that something is off. Kale keeps referring to Kiernan as Roz and tells him Dez is Kiernan…the person responsible for his memory loss and accident.

With all of the stuff with Kale going on, Dez is also dealing with the side effects of the Supremacy project. She has begun to show signs of decline and everyone knows they need to find the cure soon. Through an informant Ginger has working at Denazen, they find that Cross has started a third Supremacy trial called Domination. Because of the success, Cross has declared the “old” model obsolete and has assigned Kale and Kiernan the task of eliminating all of the Supremacy subjects. At the same time, Dez and the Underground are hunting them down to try to bring them in to safety.

Again, Dez never changed from being the tough, funny, and sarcastic character despite the fact that her world is falling apart. Kale was different because of the circumstances but underneath it all he was still Kale. Dez’s relationship with Jade and Ginger seem somewhat strained but they all work together for the greater good. I guess that makes her a better person than me because I’m not sure I would be able to be in the same room with either of them after their actions in book two.

I enjoyed the third installment of the Denazen books and found myself unable to put the book down. Accardo does a wonderful job of moving the story forward, revealing some of the secrets, and keeping the characters true to who they are. I am looking forward to the next book to see how things go for Dez and Kale. I am also curious about how Alex’s life will be impacted and knowing how this book ends, am very interested in finding out more about the secret Cross revealed (no spoiler but for the record, I have my own theories on this one).(less)

I loved Touch and Untouched and Toxic, because I love Kale and Dez, and the entire premise and execution ... but did I love Tremble just as much?
Well, throughout Tremble I pretty much went through varying degrees of emotions.
Because the first 10% kinda made me feel like this:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
That was mostly aimed at Kale.

I will confess. It took me a while to read the first books in this series. I'd pretty much reached my max on series with no end in sight and cliffhanger endings. I was contemplating author-cide. Add to that, I'd read a couple of books where the person's touch could kill, and all I could do was roll my eyes that there was another one. I must now LOUDLY apologize to all who told me to go ahead and read it because this series is different. I'm not going to rehash Touch, and Toxic, but will expect y...more I will confess. It took me a while to read the first books in this series. I'd pretty much reached my max on series with no end in sight and cliffhanger endings. I was contemplating author-cide. Add to that, I'd read a couple of books where the person's touch could kill, and all I could do was roll my eyes that there was another one. I must now LOUDLY apologize to all who told me to go ahead and read it because this series is different. I'm not going to rehash Touch, and Toxic, but will expect you to be smarter than I was and go ahead and read the first two.

Tremble picks up slightly after the end of Toxic. Denazen has gone FAR underground with no signs of them or Kale. Meanwhile, Dez has to pretend to be the same girl she was before Kale was taken, at least in the eyes of the "normal" world. Though fully healed from the events that occurred at the end of Toxic, Dez is still "serum sick" and in one of the first few scenes we're shown that her symptoms are escalating. We also learn there might be a cure if they can find one of the subjects from the original subject batch.

It doesn't take long for Kale to make his appearance in the book, but when he does...UGH! It's more awful than I would have expected. I won't tell you why because it's a HUGE spoiler and I'd rather have you mad at Jus than me. :)

Shocked by their meeting Dez is even more determined to rescue Kale, however Ginger has other plans. Thanks to their inside informant. Ginger knows Denazen is going to terminate all the Supremacy kids and there are still more "out in the wild". Ginger sends them out to try and bring the other kids in before Denazen wipes them out.

Dez runs into Kale again on one of these missions and [insert spoilery thing here]. She's once again overwrought by their meeting, but gains a surprising ally working from inside Denazen. When Dez and Kale meet again for the third time, the fun REALLY starts, by which I mean all the good spoilery stuff that I won't mention.

I was really pleased with this third book in the Touch series. Inroads are gained, and lost, and gained to finding a cure for the Supremacy kids. New friends are made, people die--shocking I know--one character's twist had my jaw dropping, and you even learn some things about the history of Denazen. A fast-paced, frustrating, yet satisfying thrill-ride of a book, Tremble has me ready for book 4.

I love the growth that Dez has undergone throughout the series. She started off as an impulsive and rebellious young woman, but she has matured so much over the course of the books. In Tremble, Jus Accardo takes it further with Dez's character by allowing her to grow even further. Dez has turned into a strong, level-headed heroine that you can't help but root for. After the events of Toxic, she has blossomed into an even braver character than she initially was. I was glad that despite the many ups and downs that she endured in the previous books, she hasn't allowed those events to weaken her even a bit. In fact, I would say that Dez has learned so much from her past mistakes. Dez was the sort of character who was willing to battle demons to help the people that she loves. I loved what an independent, fearless and spunky character she was. I was also happy that she didn't let the fact that Kale was absent from her life break her down. Instead, she went along with her life, but still planning on saving him. Kale also went through hell in Tremble. He had to overcome so many obstacles and it seemed like they would not stop coming in his pathway, but despite that he was a strong character. I loved his sweet innocence in this series. It is what makes him so lovable. Kale has to be one of the heart-warming love interest that I have ever read about and that is exactly what I loved about him. No matter how much I love my bad boys in my YA books, I have a soft spot for the genuinely caring ones. As far as the villains go, they still fill me with so much hatred and I doubt that will change anytime soon. These are the sort of villains that you actually enjoy hating because they are just terrible human beings. Jus Accardo has crafted wonderful secondary characters in this series and I'm happy to say that they are even better in this installment.

When I went into Tremble, I knew I could count on Jus Accardo to feed me plenty of action that would leave me breathless and that's exactly what she did. The book started with a bang and right up to the last page, it was action-packed. Brimming with suspense, Tremble kept me on the edge of my seat. I devoured this book because I was so invested in it. The world-building was also further developed. Tremble was the kind of book in which there was never a dull moment. By the time it ended, I still wanted more. The romance in this series has been one of my favorite aspects of it. Dez and Kale share such a beautiful relationship. They make each other much better people and that is exactly why I love them together. Kale's innocence complements Dez's rebellious streak. These two were just perfect together! In Tremble, their love was put to test by circumstances, but by the end of the book, it was stronger than it ever was. Kale said the sweetest things ever which made up for some swoon-worthy moments between them. Ever since Touch, Jus Accardo has been one of my favorite authors. Her brilliant writing has an addictive quality to it. Plus, it helps that she takes her time to build her world, develop her characters and make us swoon with her romance. There's no doubt after reading this book that I'm buying every single thing she writes even if its a book about penguins! That's how much I love her books!

Tremble was my favorite book in the Denazen series. Complex characters, rich world-building and a romance that gave me butterflies and made me wish that I had a Kale too, Tremble surpassed all my expectations. Fans of the series, this is not an installment you want to miss! And for those of you who haven't tried this series yet, then now's definitely the time. (less)

Tremble picks off were book 2 leaves you hanging(LOL). We get to see a different side of all the main characters we love. Kale will experience a different life but will fight with anger he has been dealing with. Dez will have a softer more mature side to her but she the girl will still love. Tremble by Jus Accardo is the third book in the Denazen series and is an amazing addition to this incredible story – it was a book which left me gaping on many occasions, there was betrayal, heartbreak, kick-butt action sequences and a sweet yet heart-wrenching romance.

It is difficult writing this review without revealing spoilers from the previous books so proceed with caution.

We know Kale is now unwillingly a part of the Denazen corporation and what he has been through there is devastating; the one person he has come to love is now a believed enemy and seeing him no longer recognise Dez was really difficult, his lethal abilities are now truly enhanced also as a result of a newly created drug. Despite the changes in Kale, I still adore him, there is an innocence and kindness about him that I have come to really love.

Dez was as stubborn, snarky and determined as ever but there is also vulnerability and real concern for those she is closest to, her future at this stage is looking quite uncertain but I have loved her character progression, she has really matured and come to be quite the lovable heroine.

Plot-wise, Tremble was action-packed and entertaining; the search to find the other Sixes who are slowly dropping off one by one and the constant avoidance of Denazen kept me thoroughly immersed in the story as did Dez’s task of trying to get Kale to remember who she was and which team he belonged on – not an easy task when she was also having to watch her own back with him.

Revisiting the cast of characters we have come to know and love is always a pleasure – I still despise Jade, I am liking Alex more and more, loving Brandt and the bad guys are pure evil! Kiernan is an utter #$!@ for what she has done to her sister and Cross’s agenda is twisted! In this installment you couldn’t really tell who could be trusted or not.

There are so many sacrifices, lies, and twists in Tremble that broke my heart, made me mad and left me emotionally drained; more questions are left unanswered and a few revelations were bewildering so I am really eager to get hold of the next installment.

Jus Accardo’s writing flows perfectly, the action scenes, rediscovery of a beautiful romance and intriguing storyline kept me flipping through the pages needing to know what was going to happen. This is definitely one of my favourite series and Jus Accardo is certainly on my auto-buy list.

Overall, I adore Dez and Kale and can’t help but hope for happiness and a Denazen free existence for them both – Tremble was an amazing addition to this series, filled with intense action scenes, fantastic world-building, unexpected twists and a wonderful cast of characters, it’s a series I can’t recommend highly enough.(less)

I love series that just draw me deeper and deeper into the story with each new book and the Denazen series is out performing even my highest expectations. This book had a perfect balanace. I was a bit worried about reading this book after having tried reading the novella about Brandt and not being able to finish it. I just couldn't get into it. While I had being curious about Brandt's ability it didn't suck me in like the rest of the series. Fortunately there was no need to be worried, cause as soon as I started I was immersed right away.

When I finished Toxic I nearly died because of the way it ended. Kale went back to Denazen to protect Dez and make sure that Aubrey healed her. I think it was fairly obvious that whatever they did to Kale would be horrible, but I didn’t quite expect what they did end up doing to him. It was so frustrating and devious that I have hand it to Jus Accardo for pulling it off.

When Tremble starts, a few months (I’m guessing) have passed since the events of Toxic. Dez is still looking for Ka...more Loved it!!!

Dez finally realises that Denazen must have done something to him and decides to help him, even if it means getting hurt in the process. Meanwhile Ginger’s troupe are on the lookout for the remaining Supremacy Sixes. The ones on the verge of losing their minds and finally dying. Stakes rise when they realise that Denazen is also looking for these kids, but instead of wanting to help them out, they plan to ‘terminate’ all of them. Things got more frustrating for Dez (and me) when Ginger decides that getting Kale back is not on the top of their priority list, getting the remaining Sixes back alive is more important (well, maybe that one time she did make sense.)

I really like Dez. I like heroines who are full spunk and spirit and Dez is brimming with both those qualities. She’s also independent and strong and very reckless. But that’s easy to overlook because she’s usually trying to help out someone else. This time around, the decline (which is the annoying and inconvenient side effect of the Supremacy experiment) is catching up with her. She’s starting to show signs and knows that it won’t be long before she loses her sanity and eventually her life. But I liked that she is resilient and didn’t give in.

For a large part of the book, the Kale we know and love was woefully missing. He was more powerful and could even control his killer touch. It was immediately clear that something was wrong with him, Yet it was his personality that was the most jarring. He had none of the compassion and kindness that is quintessential Kale. Instead he became his own worst nightmare: a killing machine.

Needless to say that Dez decided to rescue Kale from Denazen and get him out of Kiernan’s clutches. But things in Dez’s universe rarely go as planned as it turns out that maybe Kale maybe doesn’t want to be saved (or worse, can’t be) Yet, she refused to let him bully or scare her (which at times may not have been the smartest thing to do)

Alex is still around and thankfully he wasn’t as annoying as he was in the previous two books. Kiernan very quickly became the most hateful person in the entire series, possibly even more than Marshall Cross. Jade was present but didn’t feature as prominently as she did in the last book and she wasn’t so annoying this time. Aubrey was around and he's easily one of the best characters in the series. I hope we see more of him in the next few books. Tremble focused very strongly on Dez and Kale so the others kinda faded into the background.

The last few chapters were very high on intensity and there was a constant feeling that something was about to go wrong. In a way I’m glad that the series has been extended because there wasn’t nearly enough groundwork for Kale and Dez to take down Denazen, had it happened in book 3, I don’t know how plausible it would have been. Now that we have more books to look forward to, Jus Accardo has more time to flesh some other characters and also start building up to be big climax.

To conclude, Tremble lived up to my ridiculously high expectations and as always has left me dying for the next book. For those of you who are dreading yet another nail-biting cliffhanger you can rest assured that there isn’t a cliffhanger as such. Just a little something that Ms Accardo casually threw at us and then left it hanging (a very unexpected bit of info).

Dez isn't having the best luck lately. Tremble picks up shortly after Toxic left us and Dez is struggling for a couple reasons. First, she's a six and the drug she was given to enhance her abilities is now a deadly countdown to insanity and death. Second, she's on Denazen's hitlist because of it. And finally, her father is using Kale, the love of her life, against her and ultimately to kill her.

At the end of Toxic, Kale trades his life for hers, and Denazen did their worst to him. They erased Dez from his mind and replaced his memories with false ones and they gave him a new trial drug called Domination. Now he's doing things the old Kale never would have considered... including kissing her half-sister.

The underground group is trying to save all of the six's and so a lot of this book is finding them and hopefully getting there before those who want to get rid of them, and convincing them to return with them. Along the way, we find that the Denazen agents and Dez's group are working from the same list hoping to get to the one person who's blood may hold the cure for those on the termination list.

I will admit up front that I wasn't as happy with book 2, (probably because of Jade) but book 3 came back with a bang. I sympathized with Dez much more in this book ... the hurt of seeing him with Kiernan and the pain of knowing the relationship they shared, and Kale not having a single recollection and the anger and coldness he had toward her. It just about did me in.

Dez, while always a pretty strong character in the other books, really stepped it up in this book. She was prepared to fight for Kale and prove to him who she truly was even if it endangered her life. But she didn't take his crap either. Even with the effects of the Supremacy project slowing her down, she pushes through it.

I was wondering what Denazen was going to do with Kale once they got their hands on him, and I wasn't disappointed. I absolutely didn't expect this. Kale has become someone else in the time they've been apart, and this new version isn't who Dez would have fallen for, but she gets hints of her Kale throughout. Even though his memories have been taken, his body and mind deep down know Dez and so he fights to know the truth. I loved seeing this other side of Kale and I am interested in seeing how once more and more of his memories return, The Domination project will affect who he was and is.

Accardo fills this book with tons of action and suspense. Throwing in twists that I didn't even see coming. I'm incredibly excited to see where she takes us in book 4.

Because of the cliffhanger of Toxic, I was scratching the wall throughout the winter and counted the days until I can find out what happened to the main characters, of course mostly with Kale. So please forbear with me as I’m very keen to read the story and I am a bit biased when it comes to the Denazen Trilogy:)

And Jus did it. Again. I couldn’t put the book down easily and when couldn’t read it all the time, my thoughts were always around the story.
I’ve said about the first book, it was badass like the heroine herself. It’s action-packed, they kept the story pinning and slowed down sometimes to a private show so our main characters could become better acquainted with each other. The second book was the same, but there were more parts on it, where emotions have played major role. In the end of the second one I felt that Tremble will cause plenty of heartbreaking moments.

And I was right. As I’ve lost in the story, at first I cursed fluently about how the author was able to do this with us. She broke my heart (I don’t dare to talk about Dez’s heart) again so much that I collected all the pieces with a tea-spoon. When I thought that it was no longer going to get worse, she thrusted another dagger into our hearts destroying it completely, we had to re-build up everything again from the ashes.
Of course we had quite a lot action scenes, sometimes I was just gawking that how they will get out of a situation alive, but we got many emotional parts as well. I was glad about that separately though, but Faceless – the recently released Denazen book – connected the two books (Toxic and Tremble) functionally and Brandt had role in this novel as well. I got to like him so much and I was glad to see him again.
Alex is one of my hot favourite, even if he could be sometimes a big asshole, mostly when they are together with Kale as I know that he enjoys to „suck Kale’s blood”. But he is always with Dez and he helps her even in the most impossible situations.
But Ginger… however I still failed to like her. I think she is a cunning, sly old woman, even though I know that everything she does has a reason and as a leader, she can’t keep in mind the welfare of the individuals but the whole community. But…. Sometimes I hated her more than the people in Denazen group.
Dez is the same kickass young girl whom I fell in love with in the first part. She can’t sit tight for a minute and she always gets into trouble. And moreover she has motivation now to get into such situations that sane people avoid. I liked her so far, but now I added her permanently to my favourite heroines. Regardless, that almost everything conspired against her, she is fighting for her life, for her loved ones and especially for one person – though her relationship with him was dancing on a razor’s edge in most of the book. I love that she never gives up hope and she has twisted sense of humour in every situation. Sometimes she has such phrases that they should be also taught!

And of course KALE. I promise, I will cut short. Kale already won me over in the first book and I would find it difficult to believe that he could do anything to make me not like him.
In the first two books we could only read about he had a dark side as well and sometimes we got a taste of it for a short time. In this book however, „Mr. Innocence” disappeared and replaced by a person who – however I’m still one of his biggest fan – made me shiver sometimes. He is a rationally-minded assassin. He is exactly what he was trained for long time ago and who is even more dangerous now because of certain things, than he was.
I loved to know his side also – because we didn’t see only his „innocent little boy” personality at last. What happens to him and Dez, unfortunately I can’t tell you because it would be a huge spoiler, but it’s sure that I have never worried about them so much until now.
The supporting characters are constantly changing and we got many suprises about who is on whose side is.

I was really curious how Jus writes the end of the book so that she is still able to keep our interest alive. Because although this series included three parts originally, Jus announced last fall that there will be more books (and plus the short novellas). I can tell that she was successful!:)
Many threads are not closed and she wrote such a twist, that gives a nice cliffhanger for the story. And that short story from Kale’s POV in the end! It was a big surprise! I loved it! On one hand it was such a part that I think a lot of people will be interested in after finishing the book and on the other hand, being in Kale’s head…. still an incredible experience!

Of course this novel has small faults and if I would want to, I could surely list some, but the story is so tied me up that I didn’t look for them. Overall, we got a very good book and every Kale and Denazen series fan must read!(less)

Would I pick this one up orm a book store shelf on the strength of the cover alone, . . Heck Yes!
Then to the blurb, OooOoo it sounds really . . no I mean really good again. Where does Jus Accardo get these brilliant plot lines and characters from? The blurb sounds full of drama and action packed too so this one is definitely on my want to read list. In fact it's not a want to read, a MUST read!
The book is action packed as usual it has a main line plot and then little sub plots coming off. The objective the underground have is to get the cure. To get to the cure they have to find a woman and get her back to Ginger, but also they have to bring in all the other subjects that will soon be going into decline. Then add the sub plots of Kane seemingly being changed/brain washed in some way, this gives lots of humor as he mixes things up. If he had strong feelings about something then a kind of inkling will remain. Like when Kane meets up with Alex, they literally hate each other and in his new "brain washed" state he gets an inkling there's something important about Alex and he doesn't like it. Then the book briefly covers aspects of the other subjects lives and the type of home life they have each had.
So who is in this book? Deznee, Kale, Brandt,Alex, Ginger and her gang plus lots of new names of the other experiment subjects.
I loved Brandt being in this book especially after reading Faceless so recently, I love his protectiveness around Dez. Then there's the love that Kale and Dez share can Marshal break their connection? What does Dez find out about Marshal that is like wow! what? and we don't get the answer to the big question in this book either. Maybe there could be a novella all about Deznee's mum coming soon? I'd love to read her story. Another person who's stroy I'd like to read too is Ginger's.
I did like at the end of the book the chapter from Kale's point of view, it sort of filled in the gaps for readers wanting to know what happened immediately after the previous book when Kale returned to Denazen with Marshal. It answered a lot of the questions that arose throughout this book.
So did I enjoy the book? YES of course I did! Would I recommend the book? I recommend the whole series! Would I read another book in this series? Definitely as soon as it's available! I love the books and the novella's. As I said above maybe a novella about Deznee's mum to answer a big question we are left with at the end of this book? And then in the future perhaps a novella on Ginger and how she came to the underground etc etc.
Would I read other books by Jus Accardo? Yes I would definitely give any other books by Jus Accardo a go.(less)
