Overall, a very positive resource. I can see that this would be a valuable tool to anyone interested in youth guidance, high school (and really middle school) cirricullum, social work or just plain sociology. Although none of the kids interviewed here come out without incident, the social climate does seem to be more positive than it was a generation ago. At least more tolerant if not accepting. A survey of challenges for young LGBTQ people and resources available to them, based on a series of interviews. The book focuses on three critical areas where support or condemnation makes a big difference to adolescents: their families, their schools, and community groups (including religious institutions and gay rights organizations).
