I enjoyed this book, but I also admit that I did skim some of the sex scenes.

This book focuses on Andreas and Ty from book one, specifically on Turning Andreas. Strong points: I loved how the author described and handled the turning process. It was both technical but we also got to see the emotions behind the momentous occasion. I really loved the part about Dak.

Now the not so enjoyable. I got tired of after every chapter we would hear Andreas say something sappy about how fantastic and enduring...more

It seems like each line of dialogue gets more sappy. It's brutal. I'm 3% and so bored and already in a sugar coma from how rottenly overly-sweet this is.

This description of Titus could be summed up with "he's physically perfect" and we could skip these five paragraphs detailing his physical perfection

"you staring at me again"

"cause you're so beautiful. You should be used to it"

Human Andreas Nikandros is finally ready to take the steps to bond with vampire Titus Antonius Calidus for all of eternity. The only regret Andreas has is leaving his beloved lion, Dakarai, at the zoo in addition to his human best friend and fellow zoologist Carl behind. However, fate has a way of changing things for the greater good.

Loving Instincts is the third book in the amazing Instincts series. In this episode, political change in the vampire aristocracy is featured, plus a return visit of...more

I liked how rock solid Andreas and Titus were in their relationship and there was no doubting how deeply in love they were. But I have to agree with other reviewers that the focus on that eternal love was a bit overdone. They were almost too sweet and loving and the physical perfection that they always saw in each other, which would then lead to yet more sex, became too repetitive. We get it already. I enjoyed that Daniel and Ryu were part of this story from start to finish as they prov...more

I was so excited for this book, because I loved the first two, Natural Instincts and Enduring Instincts, and I was happy this one was going to continue Andreas and Titus’ story. There were things from the other two books that I was hoping would get answered. And they did. And in just the ways I was hoping for.

I loved how sweet Andreas and Titus were together in this book. You can really see they’ve grown and hit a new point in their relationship. I felt like I was seeing the real Titus, very car...more

I really liked Book 1 Natural Instincts, despite the fact that Andreas did not get turned in that book.

I rushed off to Amazon and bought the rest of the series. Unfortunately, Book 2 Enduring Instincts (Instincts, #2) is about two minor characters from the first book - Daniel and Ryu. Neither character came across to me as particularly enthralling in the first book, so after several attempts to get into their story...I gave up, leaving book 2 unfinished, I picked up Book 3.

Sadly, this book (Book 3) did not fulfill my expectations....I probabl...more

This one was a next great addition to the series by S.J. I never get bored reading about the about the guys and I have to admit I'm more in lurve with Daniel with his spark and sass to the masses than the rest of them, but hey we all tend to have our favorite characters in all books we read n'est pas? Suck it up. It is what it is :snickering:

The plot, was well executed and flowed smoothly and nicely. I do also admit that I enjoy tons of action packed stories and this book has it, but n...more

I have to say I love when Titus goes all badass. And seeing Andreas as more his equal was just what I'd hoped would happen. Titus will always be super possessive and overly protective of him but he does it in a way that allows Andreas to remain a proud, independent man. (view spoiler)[ And now a proud, independant vampire :-)) (hide spoiler)] At first, I was afraid that Titus had lost his edge...he and Andreas were way to sappy and sweet for me.

Daniel grew on me big time with this book...big tim...more

I was very happy to see some of the old Titus back in this installment. I totally fell for his strength and bad assness in book 1, and while I missed it a little in book 2, it shows up quite a few times in this book. As with the first two books, the parts I enjoyed most were when the guys were engaging or plotting to engage the enemy vamps and the excitment of the fighting.

Most of this story surrounds Andreas' long-awaited turning. I often felt parts of this story were a bit drawn out, including...more

Once again SJ Frost brings a lovely story to the page. With plenty of sexual chemistry, humor and insight into Andreas and Titus relationship, the writing was just what I have come to expect from this author - awesome! I loved visiting Andreas and Titus along with Ryu and Daniel. I've always enjoyed how they interacted with each other and in this installment I enjoyed it even more. There were more affectionate and laid back and the bond between the 'eternal partners' was easy to see. I appreciat...more

It was nice to see this book was mainly about Titus and Andreas and we get to catch up on what’s been happening in their lives. While I like all the characters in this series these two are my favorite the love they have for each other bounces off the page and smacks you in the face. The scene with Titus turning Andreas was very well done and having him grow into someone who is now Titus’s equal was great to see, bringing Dak into the fold was just genius.

There is a little intrigue that’...more

While this isn't my favorite in the series, it was great getting to see all of the characters back again. I love Andreas and Titus and I love his turning and process. Oh, and I adored Daniel in this, what a snarky vampire!

I really enjoyed the last 1/3 of the book where the plot and conflict really picked up. Until then, yes there was some conflict, but it was minor. Yes, we get that Andreas was ready to be turned and he and Titus were devoted to each other. Now can Carl get his HEA?

This cover is smokin’ hot and exactly how I picture my two favorite vampires! I loved being witness to Andreas’ turning in this book and the continuation of his relationship with Titus. I agree that there is a lot of sappy/sweet to go around, but I find it to be a treat when I can read a book where the couple has already been established, I happen to love them, I don’t have to worry through a lot of angst, and I can be a fly on the wall during some pretty erotic sex scenes:)

Unfortunately, my least favorite in the series. Too much description in terms of clothing and characters, and a good 10% could have been edited to make the middle's pace snappier.

I still like the series, but I think future editions should be shorter, as a lot of ground from previous books was retold.

Nice additional read to this series. Almost too sweet in some places. Things kick into gear a bit after (view spoiler)[Andreas' turning. Although I would have been pretty ticked at him for taking off to see Dak like he did. Do these guys ever get mad at each other? (hide spoiler)] I enjoyed that Daniel and Ryu also played a major role. They stole several scenes.

I freakin' loved this! Was it the most well written story I've ever read, sadly no. But I still loved it! Yes, it is sugary sweet but sometimes I'm in the mood for a little vanilla buttercream frosting and this certainly delivered! Sure I'm in a diabetic coma and will probably need insulin shot for the rest of my life, but it was totally worth it! And the lion - I loved the bond with the lion. A little far-fetched? Absolutely. But since I've already willingly suspended my belief in reality to re...more

4.5. I really love when the actual plot and story is so good I want to skip some of the sex scenes. This was one of those times.

Sigh! I am hoping there will be more. I want Jeff to have an HEA hint... hint...

This one just didn't really click with me. Like the first book the POV switches are very abrupt and can be confusing. I like that we saw Andreas' Turning and that Titus and him are moving on with their lives. The animals are awesome, as usual, and the new animal sounds adorable. I really didn't "connect" to the characters in this one. I would describe it as a "transitional" book for the series. Still it was enjoyable and we got to see Titus and Ru in "warrior" mode;)
Alicia
Although there were some editing issues that were a bit distracting, I was still thoroughly engrossed by these entrancing characters, including the animals. I hope there are still future stories for Ty and Andreas. I'm not nearly ready to say goodbye.
Lily
I really enjoyed reading this story. Titus and Andreas are great MCs and bringing back Daniel and Ryu made it even better. The book is well-written with an interesting plot that kept me engaged in the story from beginning to end. There's quite a bit (maybe too much?) hot sex throughout the story and a really sweet HEA ending too. Overall an enjoyable and entertaining ending (addition?) to the series.

Started out slowly, but once the pace picked up (around the time of the zoo scene) things took a turn for the better :) I hope that the author will write a story for Carl. :)

Edited to add: Woohwooh. I see the author read my mind and has a book slated for Carl. Off to put it on my wishlist.

My favorite of the series so far! I really enjoyed there was more story then sex in this one, still plenty of sex though :)
