His powers could save her from ruin, or guide her swiftly to it.
Lennox Taskill is a dissolute rogue, a powerful witch who some say even trades his enchantments for profit when it pleases him. His only loyalty is to his coven, his disdain for humanity sealed by the searing memory of his mother burning at the stake. So when the wife of a wealthy landlord comes seeking his h

Not a good fit for me. Things were not fully developed. I was not engaged.

Chloris’s parents died. Her cousin Tamhas became her guardian. He wanted sex with her, but she refused, so he arranged her marriage to Gavin. Gavin beats her and will throw her out if she doesn’t become pregnant. Chloris visits a group of witches to ask for fertility help. Lennox agrees to help. They quickly become lovers. A secondary story is witches must live in secret. They are burned if discovered.

OMG I just had to write this.... The author Saskia Walker is amzing.... literally amazing!! I recieved a copy of her 3rd novel in The Tiskill Witches series "The Jezebel" which I am head over heels in Love with!! Saskia has been super sweet by offering me complimentary books of THE HARLOT and THE LIBERTINE which is the first and second book and I was so excited I screamed!! Much to the embarrasment of my boyfriend as we were in a local supermarket at the time haha.

I absolutely love, love, love S

I loved the first book "The Harlot" and this second book "the Libertine" was another great read. It had me stuck to the pages from the start to the finished. I love that it was a historical romance with a story behind each main character involved. The passion that Lennox and Chloris had between each other was electrifying. This book had everything you want to have in a historical novel starting straight at the beginning to the end. I can't wait to see what the next book "The Jezebel" will be lik ...more

To me this was like a B Flick but in book form. I absolutely love, love, love B Flicks and so naturally I loved this book. I will have to read the rest of this series. I just wish the characters were more fleshed out and brought to life. Maybe a better editor could help with final development. Story was intriguing if only with a few holes. I give 4 stars because 3 being ok, 4 being I liked it, and 5 being I loved it. I liked it enough to want to give the author another chance and see if she coul ...more
Lennox.

Yet another triumph for Walker.

Adult erotica, NOT Porn; now I've got nothing against porn, I absolutely love it; but good erotica can be just as entertaining and the fact that there's less "action" can actually be a good thing.

That's certainly the case with this book. There's just enough well written action to make it an excellent work of literature as well as a sweet, sticky, sweaty, sexy, steamy story that couples can enjoy together.

Bit of witchcraft as well.

It doesn't get much better than this.

This was a nice solid, romance. I enjoyed it, especially the supernatural theme.

I like it when things are kept interesting and different. :)

The author is a good erotic and romance writer, and you can tell that she took the effort to do some research, which adds a lot to the story.

I can't stand a romance novel without some other plot besides, and I'm happy to see this did just find in that department! :)

I enjoyed reading Harlot - 5 stars. Then I read Jezabel before Libertine. Both books I had high hopes, I thought it would be as intense as the Harlot but it wasn't. The very name Libertine does not describe Lennox. Maybe Manwhore would've been a better title.

Saskia Walker is one of my favourite authors to look out for. I read Rampant right after and wow! This book totally redeem my faith in Saskia Walker.

"The road to Lennox and Chloris' happily ever after is a bumpy one with some wrong turns, but the result is worth the trip. The Scottish setting provides a mystical atmosphere that draws the reader into the story, and titillating love scenes add plenty of excitement." RT Book Reviews, rated 4 stars.

Liked it but did not love it...
and that could be because I do not enjoy historical romances and I did not understand that the book was set in 1715..

Dnf at page 175. I don't know, it didn't catch my interest. I was bored, so bored, and every time another sex scene came I just fell asleep.

Good, but not as good as the first. Characters had less dimension, but the plot was engaging. I plan on reading #3.
