The last man she'd ever marry...?

Rachel Cotton has high hopes for her cruise through the beautiful Kimberley region - surely this will be the perfect chance to forget her past and enjoy some much-needed rest and relaxation? But gorgeous shipmate Finn Kinnard seems much more interested in stirring her up!

I've been on a bit of a romance reading spree the last couple of weeks and A Bride for the Maverick Millionaire just happened to be the next one up on my pile of library books when I read it the other day.

I used to love the Harlequin Romance line, but over the last few years I've had a lot of misses when it comes to this line to the point that I might only read one or two of the titles a year. To be completely honest the only reason I really borrowed this book is because I saw that it was set i
Good book. I liked both Rachel and Finn. Rachel is still trying to recover from the accident that caused the death of her baby and the end of her marriage. She is on the cruise with her friend Maud (see Her Outback Rescuer) and has no intention of getting involved with any man. She is more interested in the rock formations and cave paintings that she will see. She doesn't expect to be attracted to Finn and she doesn't want to be. She was treated badly by her ex-husband and has serious trust issu ...more

Recommends it for: fans of action based romance
A sweet romance based in the Aussie Kimberley between an undercover millionaire and a brokenhearted geologist. There's a lot of action and adventure involved in between the beautiful scenery, as well as a fantastic supporting character in Dame Maud.

I really enjoyed Finn and Rachel's story. It was emotional and exciting. Great read!
Really found this book "refreshing". It gave me what I first fell in love with when I was a young teenager sneaking my mom's Harlequin Romance books to exotic location with lovely descriptions of places. Heroine had her angst but wasn't a drip. Hero was solid. Romance, adventure, intrigue. It was an enjoyable, refreshing read!
Rachel falls for Finn. Australian cruise. They get tossed overboard by drug running crew.

Writing romance sounds fascinating. Huh?

I'm a writer. I'm boring. Day after day I sit behind a word processor making up people in my head. Why do I do it? I love it. My husband, Dave, gets up in the morning, puts on a suit and heads out into the ice and cold of Ballarat's winter. (Sadly I live in one of the tiny parts of Australia that qualifies as cold.) I make myself another cup of coffee, head
