I can see this appealing to a lot of older primary readers especially those into superheroes. The story line is a bit slow at times and nothing seems to be happening but when the action starts it really starts!!!! I love how he becomes his own comic strip character and is able to defeat the baddies using his brain and ordinary objects.
I can see this being used in schools to help children get their creative juices going egg. Picking a random object and a baddie / monster and then using their imag

Funny, genuinely so, and smartly written, this is a really interesting book and one that comics fans will enjoy (Cole clearly knows his stuff). I struggled however with the pacing - it takes a long, long time for things to happen after the sparkling opening.
