I think that this series has come quite far. The series (and I am referring to the entire series, not just season 2) started off quite typically, and lacked emotional and narrative complexity, however it quite rapidly began to pick up, both in terms of the quality of the plot and in terms of the emotional effect it has in readers/overall emotional satisfaction. While the plot (for the first 9 or so chapters of season 1) starts off quite shallow, being driven by a series of unstructured, insignif...more

Having powered up, Tsukune and co storm Fairy Tale HQ - A flying fortress known as the hanging garden, to fight everything in sight, rescue Moka and prevent Alucard's resurrection. Absolutely stunning volume. The artwork is beautifully detailed! Ruby faces off against Thunder God Raika in a fun homage to one of my favourite mangas, Bastard!!! He's like Darsh with a little bit of Thunder Empress Nei thrown in - for those of you familliar you'll love the in jokes and the plot about resurrecting Al...more

This volume starts off on a really nice pace, and each character seems so much more powerful and mature than when they started(except that all of them still want Tsukune, but that is kind of the point).
Tsukune's character development has really shocked me, since I saw the anime first, and he stays a useless weak human in that, where as in this, he is more powerful than I anticipated!
This volume also starts the, I assume, last story arc, and it is truly terrifyingly awesome!

The guy at the end reminds me of death note.

Rosario Vampire saison 2 Vol 10
Akihisa Ikeda (池田晃久) is a manga artist/manga-ka best known for the manga series Rosario + Vampire (ロザリオとバンパイア Rosario to Vampire). He's been a huge fan of vampires and monsters since he was a little kid. He says one of the perks of being a manga artist is being able to go for walks during the day when everybody else is stuck in the office.
