The End of Summer is a forbidden love affair between Richard and Rebecca, A collage student and a housewife. It's a delicious encounter filled with joy, lust, heartbreaks and new beginning. Romantics will love it and the fast pace will keep them turning page after page all night long to see what awaits next their favorite characters. The writing is a reflection of the male ...more

Usually I will not finish a book with married characters who will cheat. I did so with this book - and only did to complete a challenge here. It was a bad book before the cheating was consumated - and frankly it only got worse. Bad dialogue, characters who didn't really connect, un-sexy sex scenes. All I have to say is that I am glad I didn't pay for this book and that this book should be avoided. I can't think of one redeeming quality - and a book has to be very bad for me to not see any positi ...more

Ouch. Epitome of painful writing at its finest. I grabbed The End of Summer as an Amazon freebie, purely for cover alone. And shoot did I miss the blurb description, this is not my cup of tea. When the typos exceeded maximum, I threw this on text to speech just to get it over with. I wouldn't recommend but to each their own.

I truly enjoyed this story! I enjoyed the sex scenes more in this story then in The End of Summer. I loved the end with the perfume gift. That was romatic, and I'm a hopeless romantic! I only rated it four stars because none of the characters were named "Heather" ... maybe next time ;-)

My kindle cried when I downloaded this ebook. I ignored it. Poor sap, now I know why. This was a really disturbingly dumb read. I don't even understand how it got to the free kindle book list! SHEESH...

The End of Summer is a quick read. I liked the fact that its a man telling the story this time. Im not gonna into details on what the book is about because YOU should read it. I was drawn to this book I could not put it down, the love scenes were hot. And then the ending came around, I loved the ending I didn't see it coming which is great I don't like predictable books. It was my favorite. Looking forward to your next piece Alex M. Smith. K

The dialog in this contemporary novella is very stilted at times. The rampant non-use of contractions in casual conversations by several characters especially stood out. This is in the romance section on Amazon, but I wouldn't exactly call this a romance, especially in light of the ending, but also because the connection between the two main characters didn't really have a great build up. I wasn't hot enough for me to call it erotica, either, so I guess it's just fiction.

I loved this very quick read. There are only a few character but they have been built up just enough to know who they are and a little history. The ending was definitely not what I expected and now I want to read the next one. This happens every time! I enjoyed reading a male point of view, which I don't do often. Would your mate really be proud of you for kissing your girlfriends mother or going further?

Nice story, I can't stand "cougars" for personal reasons but I enjoyed the couple of sex scenes but would like more ;-)
