I do love a story with a happy ending, and this was (hopefully) what we got with Clay & Chevy (Banksy).
A vengeful and jealous senior soldier (who wanted Chevy for himself) meant that Clay was sent to another platoon where he climbed through the ranks (to eventually reach Captain), but all he could think about was Chevy, and at that point he didn't even know if Banksy was gay and his love was returned. Got to admit this one kind of surprised me. Thought at first I was going to be reading another erotica story. But then, it changed direction and it actually caught my attention on how much Clay Norris really cared about Banksy. Especially when tragedy struck.
My only complaint is that I wish the story had been more flesh out because these two guys turned out to be pretty interesting and I wanted to get to know them better.
