Jake Conway is a veterinarian. Ever since he was a little boy on his grandfather’s ranch, he was always wanting to rescue and heal animals. Just like the time that Jake brought home a baby cougar. Now Jake is am adult and his love for animals is what makes him a great vet.

Meg Stanford returns to her home. She left when she was a little girl. For Meg coming back is no happy time. She is back for a week only to take care of her recent passing father’s affairs and then get back to Washington, D.C.

Jake by R.C Ryan
This book is mostly about Jake Conway and his growing up on the ranch, his mother died and his father is raising all the kids. He's so caring about animals that he is a local vet now.
On his way home from a call he plays his phone messages and travels to their next door neighbor's house, to see about the colt. Cory Stamford the 7 year old is caring for the colt that is lying down in the barn. Meg, flew in from DC, a half sister and the only relative left, she's a lawyer. Yancy up

This is the 3rd book in the Wyoming Sky series by RC Ryan (Ruth Ryan Langan). While i liked the first two books in the series ok i was not really excited about either. That all changed when i started Jake. I kind of thought this one would get me. I liked Jake a lot in the previous books. Jake is a veterinarian and the youngest Conway. He was just 5 years old when his mother disappeared. His the nurturer in the family and a big flirt with women. He finds himself face to face with Meg Stanford whe ...more

Love is found in the most unexpected places

The youngest in the family tends to be the toughest especially when you have two older brothers that love to torture you. Jake Conway grew into his own man and became not only a rancher like family but also a vet who provides great care and that extra animal sense from someone who understands them.

When Meg Standford returns home to pick up the pieces after her father’s death she never expected to find a seven year-old brother she knew nothing about. Now

I wish I could give Jake more than 5 stars!

It was attention grabbing and didn't let go until the very end. The first half was good but the second half was amazing! The character develeopement was superb and the plot was so complex, you could tell the author knows what they are doing. I knew who the bad guy was the whole time but even so it was very unpredictable it had me going "omg!!" the whole time. I really grew to like all the characters and that doesn't happen often. Jake wasn't the typical

I am happy to note that Seraphine's disappearance is resolved. I wondered since her disappearance has played a roll in all 3 books.
Now that's been mentioned, the rest of the story was pretty good. It held my attention. Of course, if someone had pressed Corey more, much of the drama could have been prevented. Especially since they *suspected* he knew something.
This would have been a solid 4 star for me, but the lack of any talk about safer sex made me deduct 1/2 star. I expect some type of

4.5 stars - My review cross-posted from Wit and Sin:

Jake Conway is the most eligible bachelor for miles around his small Wyoming town. But even handsome, sought-after veterinarians can be thrown for the loop, and Jake definitely is when he comes face-to-face with Meg Stanford.

As a successful Washington D.C. attorney, Meg knows how to roll with the punches. But even she can see that she’s in over her head when she comes to Wyoming to settle her estranged f

Drop dead gorgeous, country Veterinarian, Jake Conway has no issues with women. This youngest brother of three knows how to pour on the charm for quick results, but when he meets hot redheaded, high powered, city attorney, Meg Stanford, all bets are off and Jake begins to realize that this contradiction of a woman is getting under his skin.

Meg Stanford hasn't been back to Paintbrush, Wyoming since the day her mother took her and left her Dad, Rancher, Porter Stanford and never looked back, when

Jake was a spur of the moment read for me. I found myself growing tired of paranormal romance and needing a break from it so I decided picking up an easy-going contemporary romance was the way to go.

After finishing Jake (which is 3rd in the series BTW) I found myself conflicted. I liked it but I didn't love it. It was an easy read, the characters well defined and the overall story was one I found to be entertaining. In a was..."cute". This book (and most likely the series) would be so

I have heard good things about R.C. Ryan’s work, so when I was given an opportunity to read Jake, I jumped on the chance. If you have read some of my other reviews you know I love a good western romance and I love family series. I got double my joy reading this book. Now that I have read something by R.C. Ryan I will be looking for more of her work.

Engaging from the start, Jake is an altogether satisfying contemporary romance, especially if you like your heroes in cowboy boots.

First, I have to say that I haven’t read the other books in the series, and though I was aware as I read that there was backstory I was missing (mostly about a long missing family member), I never felt lost. Jake very strongly stands on its own, though I have every intention of going back and reading the o

Jake is the third and final book in RC Ryan’s Wyoming Sky trilogy, and I have to say it is my absolute favorite! I laughed, cried, and loved along with these characters!

Of Cole Conway’s three boys Jake is the most fun and soft hearted of the bunch. They were all young when there mom disappeared, but Jake was the baby of the family. From childhood he had a soft spot for hurt animals, so it was no surprise when he became a vet. Now he

Jake is the 3rd book in the Wyoming Sky series by R.C. Ryan and quite possibly my favorite. I've had this book for quite a while and just never could get to it. I'm so sorry it took me so long.

Meg Stanford thought her life was all figured out. When she was 8-years-old her mom left her dad and moved away. The old man apparently never wanted her since he never fought for her. She set out to make the best life she could as the accomplished, polished city girl that her mom

Jake by R.C. Ryan

I would actually give this book 2.5 stars, it is a well-written basic romance novel. City slicker lawyer comes to Wyoming to settle her estranged father's estate, meets super charming sexy cowboy and finds out she has a half-brother. This throws a wrench into her plans to get rid of the ranch and be back at her law firm in a week.

After Meg arrives at her father's ranch, she finds a little boy who won't talk to her and vandalism all over the ranch. Ms. Ryan does a good job takin

In the book Jake, Meg Stanford returns to Wyoming following her father's death. She is suprised with the existence of a younger brother and faces some difficulties when her father's house is vandalized. Jake Conway lives on a nearby spread and is a veterinarian. Sparks fly when the meet but Meg has a life waiting for her in Washington D.C. as a high powered attorney.

This book was hard to rate. It had some good qualities but aspects of it felt contrived and forced. Almost like on The Truman Show

This is the third book in the trilogy about the Conway brothers. Jake is the youngest and is a veterinarian. He loves life and is a flirt and takes in all strays. When the neighbor dies and his estranged daughter comes back to settle his estate she finds a seven year old half brother she doesn't know she has. Meg is a high-powered lawyer from Washington D.C. and had only planned to come back for a week to settle her father's estate. She finds more in the way of the handsome neighbor,Jake, who co ...more

First I have to acknowledge that I won this as a Goodreads giveaway. Now, I'm not usually a cowboy kind of girl, but what I wouldn't give for one just like Jake. R.C.Ryans made me fall head over heals for a cowboy of my own. I love this book so much that I place her other two books Quinn and Josh (Jake's older brothers) high on my list of must reads and next buys list. The family dynamics and the Wyoming life style make you wish for a life such as theirs. Because of giveaways like these I have t ...more

Not only have I added Jake to my library shelves but R.C. Ryan to my list of authors I want to read again. The characters were wonderfully developed and seemed as real people in a rural community. The strong main character and yet created with moral, love and sincerity for others around him. The plot consists of conflicts and happenings that are so smoothly intertwined you can’t put the book down. At the end you wish for the characters to live on and stay a part of your world. Excellent writing. ...more

I received this book as a First Reads winner from Goodreads. This is book 3 in the Wyoming Sky series. It's the story of Jake Conway, a veterinarian and rancher, who falls in love with Meg, who has come back to Wyoming after her father dies. Each of the Wyoming Sky books has a mystery involved. In this case, someone is breaking into Meg's ranch at night and no one knows who it could be or why. Also in this book is the resolution of the mystery (which spans all three books)of what happened to the ...more

I'm sad to be finished with this trilogy. I think I liked this one the best, though I loved all three books. Jake was just a little guy when his mom disappeared. He can relate all too well to Meg and her struggles with the father she hardly knew. To come home to settle his estate and to find a half-brother would have been quite a shock. Then there are the mysterious break-ins and vandalism. Thankfully, the hot Dr. Conway is able to help keep her and her brother safe. Just as everyone is, she and ...more

This was a great ending to a really good series.
I thought the book slowed a little in the middle but all in all it was a really good book.
Meg and Jake had great chemistry. They both had interesting life stories and great heartache to overcome. I fell in love with Cory Meg's little brother who thought he had to carry a scary world of trouble on his 7 year old shoulders.
As in the books before you get to see the loving interaction of the Conway family and friends. I guard entry you will love all

I usually plow through my books, moving from one to another without stopping and never remembering them. But this book is memorable. I find myself reminiscing over the small, touching moments between Big Jim and Sierra at Clementine's grave. Most romances do not bring me to tears, yet there are a few moments in this book that had me choked up. I read the first two books in the series and enjoyed them. I did find that the theme of all the brothers have to save the women they love from kidnappers ...more
It was just an okay read for me. Very predictable and continued on for 100 pages after the climax. it was a rough read and I not sure if I would ever read the rest of the series. that said I don't read very many contemporary romance is especially westerns although I do have a soft spot for them. Bending dragged it was a little depressing and very predictable. Veterinarian Jake Conway was never one to complain about his bachelor status, until he met Meg Stanford. When Meg returns to her father’s ranch after his death it is with mixed emotions. When her mother whisked her away she was abruptly cut off, never to hear from him again. Now that she is back she finds she has a half-brother who is strongly attached to his horse who appears lame. Jake comes to take a look at the horse only to find himself intrigued by the feisty red head, the feelings mutual ...more

This is the third in a trilogy of 3 brothers who at young age had their mother disappear. Three strong men with obvious abandonment issues. This story is of Jake a young vet who has always loved caring for wounded animals. In walks Meg, who at a young age was ripped from a safe secure environment and had to learn to adjust. Her father, who she thinks abandoned her at a young age, has died and she comes home to bury him. She discovers not only does she have a seven year old brother she new nothin ...more

What a sweet hunk of a man. Deffantly the most "open" of the Conway men. He usues the most words of all the brother, makes Quinn seem mute, and has the best advise for Cory. All of the Conway men have great things to offer, and I wasn't dissipointed when I read about Jake, the youngest and the Vet of the family. Great read, edpically since you don't have to read the other two to under stand the main consept of the story; although, I wouldn't recommend that since, in my opinion, Quinn is the best ...more
