Great third novella of the Dragon Kings! Look forward to others in this series!

Jane Holden works for PureGems. It's a great job, but her boss is a nightmare. So the story continues from the previous book. Girl, Elena, goes back to London to find out who's behind sending her and her boss to the caves. Then we meet American girl #3 (Jane).. And what, can I ask, is with all the females being American.? Not that I have anything against it, of course... Just wondering..

This story picks up right where the last one left off. Elena is being picked up from the airport and Banan is driving. The danger escalates in this book, the Kings know that they need to flush out the person or group that sent Sloan into the mountain. The Kings figure Elena’s boss is one of the people behind the trespassing on Dreagon land. To get closer to Elena’s book Banan is sent to watch his secretary, Jane. The attraction between Banan and Jane is instantaneous and electrifying.

Jane is somewhat timid and very much so klutzy, she finds herself often feeling out of step with the world. She doesn’t have the best of self esteem, but being with Banan she starts to feel a confidence that she has never felt before. In the short time she has known him; she learns her appeal to Banan. She also finds some of her confidence when she would normally shy away from anything dangerous she finds herself snooping for Banan. She comes along way in such a short period.

I really liked Banan, he was good for Jane. His attraction to Jane was intense to say the least, and that attraction and attentiveness helped her overcome some of her insecurities. When Banan first met Jane, he knew that his feeling were more intense than they should have been, but he didn’t listen to warning bells that were going off in his head. He chucked it up to lust and didn’t realize how far he had fallen until it was too late and the danger had found Jane.

With an outside threat the violence and intrigue escalates in this book. We see what the Kings are willing to do against an outside threat and that involves extreme measures. They only thing that I had a slight problem with on this book was it seemed shorter than the other two. I didn’t really feel like we had enough time with Jane and Banan as a couple like we did with Elena and Guy. I would have liked a little more time and not be so rushed. The ending gives an exciting peek as to what may come in the next books. I am looking forward to the next release.

OK, So after reading intently for time frames that caused me missed sleep and meals (couldn't put it down) Here goes...

This book starts off exactly where the last one left off. (Which is a good thing to me because then I don't feel like I missed anything. Jane is a simple plain girl that feels nobody notices her until.... Banan. OK, so some parts of the story are corny as some have mentioned... But I am that girl that went unnoticed and still does... Before I continue, I should say that If you haven’t read the previous books in this series, I highly suggest you do. I especially suggest you read NIGHT’S AWAKENING at least because the events in that last book very much connects to the events in this book. Someone is following Jane and Banan is there to protect her, yet readers are still left in the dark and Grant teases us with bits of information. It is only later on in this novella that readers really see Grant’s intentions when all is revealed.

Grant packs this book is a ton of action. Out of all the novellas in this series, I felt that this one had the most action. Rife with suspense, Grant will take readers on a thrill ride with this book! I would have liked to see more of the dragon mythology played out, but of course the epic scene of them flying was amazing to read. Grant always does an amazing job at worldbuilding. So vivid and unique, her worlds are always interesting to visit.

I felt that the romance bloomed a little too quickly in this one. This novella seemed much more shorter than the others, rounding out to 99 pages yet Grant is still able to keep readers interested. It’s possible that I wanted to read more about Jane and Banan together, which is why I felt that this book seemed to fly by. Everything happened too quickly that I simply want more.

I will mention that Banan is my favorite hero of the Dark Kings so far. He seemed the most relatable, the most down-to-earth and I loved his sense of possessiveness when it came to Jane.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am excited to hear that Grant is writing full-length novels set in this world. It will be a series to look forward to!

DAWN'S DESIRE is the third book, or should I say novella, of the Dark Kings serie by Donna Grant. The first one was DARK CRAVING and the second NIGHT'S AWAKENING. This is a short review because it relates to details mentionned in both the other two.

"Dawn's Desire" picks up where "Night's Awakening" left off at.
Banan is playing the role of the new driver for PureGems where Elena works at. The Dragon Kings are trying to find out who at PureGems wanted Elena and her boss to explore their land. Someone must know the truth behind them, so they need to find who the person is and quiet them.
Elena is inside her company doing her job and finding out who may be behind why she went with her boss Sloan, while Banan, Guy, and Rhys patrol outside the building and sneak around in some of the employers homes and trail them to find out the truth.
Of course in the middle of it all, Jane Holden, who is an American trying to keep her job with PureGems since her boss tends to be a jerk to her, gets caught up with what is going on. The boss she's working for could be the trouble maker the Dragon Kings are looking for.
Jane who always was considered 'plain Jane' never saw herself as beautiful. In fact, she always considered herself a disaster since she was always being clumsy. When she comes across Banan though, sparks are going to fly.
Now Banan, must find out if Jane is apart of the problem, or is she just has clueless as them.
When Jane ends up accidentally over hearing something she was not supposed, she has to consider if PureGems is really a job to keep or not.
Banan in the mean time is going to either find out if Jane is behind it all or have to protect her from the truth.

My thoughts on "Dawn's Desire" are of course it was another 5 moon rating from Donna Grant. I love this world Donna has created for the Dark Kings and I really, really want more about after ALL 3 short novellas.
Banan is a FAVE of mine now after reading his book. He is one dragon king who is very protective of Jane and he knew the risks of being with Jane, but he managed to get over it rather quickly then the other Dragon Kings. He knew from the moment, he met Jane, that it would be hard to get over her.
Jane is a very quiet and klutzy female, who I actually can click with right away. (being the quiet, timid, klutz myself sometimes) She also has become a fave lead female character out of all the books.

I'm wanting to know who the guy is at the end of the book who is behind outing the Dragon Kings now. Donna kind of left us hanging. And I also want to learn more about the leader of the Dragon Kings, Constantine. =) He has fascinated me since Book 1.

I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, dragon shifter lovers, and Donna Grant fans. You'll definitely enjoy this book and the first two short novellas as well.

Just a quick note...ALL 3 covers to the Dark Kings are HOT!! I definitely hope these get made into paperbacks soon so I can buy them for my personal library at home and my hubby can be mad at me drooling over them. =) (less)

When I downloaded this series I saw it was an exclusive ebook trilogy and I was surprised to find that this novella left an opening for additional stories! I can't wait and though I know this was a spin-off to her other series that I have not read, these books stood very firmly on their own. I am excited to dig into her Dark Sword/Dark Warriors series!

While investigation who knows about Dreagan and sent Sloan and Guy's Elena, Bannan, King of the Midnight Blue Dragons, meets Jane Holden, secretary to PureGem's CEO Richard Arnold. She overhears info on Sloan and finds herself helping Elena and her "company" driver Banan discover who's controlling Richard. Banan & Jane have huge chemistry and she discovers he is so much more than a bodyguard/driver when his dragon rescues her from the mystery man.

This is the third novella in the series. PNR meshed with Highlander dragon-shifters. This one was my favorite, it is the story of Banan, a dragon king, and Jane. The three books are short and should be read in order. The ending wasn't too clear, I was left with the impression that another book was coming up since some issues were not completely resolved. The writing itself was entertaining and the descriptions of the dragons were great.

This novella is hands down the best in this set of three novellas. We get a sinister plot as well as some romance. I also just learned that these novellas are going to be made into a series! Yay! I can't wait for more of this world especially with the small crossover from Grant's Dark Sword series. The only problem is we don't know when they next in the series will be coming out.

This book does contain some sexy bits.

I accidentally found the dragon kings series (dark kings). I loved each book. at the end of the final one I'm perplexed. it seems like there should be more. we are left knowing nothing about Tristan, or who the heck the conspirator is against Dreagan and all its occupants. does anyone know if there is to be more books? are they maybe rolling this into the dark warrior series?

I loved this whole series! Donna Grant has a wonderful talent for the paranormal, but I loved that her take on the Scottish landscape and seasons is right on track! I felt like I was back on my beloved land :-) I love the Dark King's and the passion that they show to the women they love. Many times I had to turn of the ipad to take a few deep breaths and dive back in :-)
