The Uprising (The Forsaken #2)
by
Lisa M. Stasse (Goodreads Author)
In this dystopian sequel to The Forsaken, Alenna has survived the brutality of life on the wheel—and now she’s going back for more.
Alenna escaped. It was expected that she would die on the wheel, the island where would-be criminals are sent as directed by the UNA—the totalitarian supercountry that was once the United States, Mexico, and Canada. But Alenna and her boyfrien...more

This is book 2 in the ‘The Forsaken’ series, and kicks off around 2 months after the end of book 1 ‘The Forsaken’.
**Warning – some unavoidable spoilers for book 1 ‘The Forsaken’**
It’s been around 2 months since Aleena and Liam made it off the wheel and to Australia where scientists are trying to work out the best way to bring down the UNA. Alee...more

Forsaken, was a bitter disappointment to me- the tags can speak for themselves.
Lust, little character development, flat characters, and a main character that left me bitterly angry, was some if not all the problems I had with the first book. And now, I have no desire to read the sequel.
On the plus side, the cover is amazing, and I can only hope that this book proves me wrong. I am always delighted when a book can shut me up.

Aleena is back and feisty as ever! Again the author wrote these characters amazingly. They come to life to me as a reader and I just love them even more in this book.
Aleena got off the island with Liam, but they left her friends behind and nothing in the scientists underground rebel group will make her forget. She is getting frustrated of doing nothing and when somethings are starting to not add up she gets suspicious. Aleena is smart, witty, and ever faithful in this book and she is going to do...more

Ok we'll I'll give this one a chance. I just need to ignore the insta love aspect. I'm certain the writing will have improved ant the pot sounds really exciting. Plus that title foreshadows a great read. I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

wasn't too happy with the first.. but still going to give this one a shot once it comes out :) maybe it just wasn't the right book for me at the time.
This book is so good.
I just love Liam.
LIAM.

LIAM.
He's gorgeous<3 Liam and Alenna is the best.
This book kind of reminds me of Gone but better. It's kind of sad but very interesting. Read the ARC. It was really good.
I think everybody should read The Forsaken the first book. It's just too great.
