For anyone who enjoys horror, this collection of short stories by Joe Mynhardt is sure to be a keeper. Twelve horrific tales comprise this anthology. Each one is deliciously different and short enough for a quick read at the bus stop or in a waiting room, maybe even before bed for the braver souls out there!

Among my favorites were the very first one, "The Great Wall of Rubin", with its strong analogy of how addiction can completely consume a person. "Portico", which is being made into an indepen

Some good shorts, and some great shorts. I'm a sucker for haunted house-type tales.

Overall review:

Lost is a worthwhile, traditional-horror anthology, one that I enjoyed a lot. Every story, even the few I had personal preference issues with, had something to recommend them. Good stuff, this - worth owning.

Standout stories:

2.) "The Way Back": Off-beat

From an addict's encounter with his demons, a heavily haunted observatory, appliances that become dangerously spooky and a flesh eating monster; to zombie fashion models and a Christmas story with a very dark twist; this collection of short stories contains the horror reader's darkest dreams.

Although each of these stories is a tale of horror in its own right, collectively they depict the human race in a wide variety o

Great stuff

A wide variety of stories on offer here from Joe Mynhardt. There is a nice old school feeling with some of them sprinkled with some good humour too. A great horror collection. Dig in.

This collection of short stories introduced me to Joe Mynhardt, and I'm so glad it did. Most of the stories here are really good. More than a few were great. If you like the things that go bump in the night (and sometimes the day) check out this book! Fast paced and fun read! 3.5 stars.
