Look, all this book is… is Jack and Cassie going back and forth completely destroying each other. I mean, he cheats on her with someone who he ends up getting pregnant.
Then he LEAVES Cassie to marry Miss Pregnant Lady.
And then he comes BACK to Cassie, and not only does she take him back.

Sometimes I feel exactly like Julia Roberts, except my hair is a very unique shade of red (called brown), my lips are in proportion to my body and I would never ever teach Richard Gere how to drive a stick. Loved it!
I love romance and I love baseball, so when you put the two together, I’m all over it. So with that said, I can’t believe that I balked at reading this!
I was hooked from page one. I couldn’t put it down. I even read it while watching game 7 of the NLCS between the San Francisco Giants & the St. Louis Cardinals…which made for an interesting soundtrack to the book.

Whew... I need a few days to recover fromt his one. Oh Jack... I am officially banning myself from any books with a 'Jack'. They are going to be the death of me.
I am uping to this to a 5 star! Why?? Jenn Sterling ROCKS!! The emotional toll it took on me proves this is a great read. This brought out my anger, hulk green mean anger and to me that makes a great book! I am going to continue to stalk Jenn and hope there is a book 2 one day. Jack Carter has yet to fully win me over.

After thinking about it for a couple of days my rating has been bumped up. ~ The first half of the book was good although I thought Jack and Cassie got together too quickly. The second half of the book, about 60% in, made me so sick that I wanted to jump in my iPad and punch Jack! What he did, and he knew exactly what he was doing, was just so awful my heart broke. Seriously my heart was racing the entire time and then it was shattered. The way he handled the situation...EVEN WORSE! I hated him...more

This book made me smile, laugh, love, cry, scream, freak the hell out, and in the end--fall in love again. There was a second there I was worried, but the ending was beautifully perfect & about as romantic as one could get.
I loved the built up for Jack and Cassie--the start of their relationship, and how hard Jack had to work, for probably the first time in his life, for Cassie. It felt real, and not once did you doubt his love for her.

Oh boy. Where do I start with this book? I had a pretty good idea what happens in this book before I started it. What I didn't realize, however, is how emotionally involved I would get. Ms. Sterling made me fall in love with this couple, then ripped my heart out, and then put it back together. What an exhausting, crazy, emotional rollercoaster ride this story turned out to be.

After reading over 200 books, I have finally decided to write my first review.
I'm not real sure where my thoughts are on this book. I had very high expectations for it, and sadly I'm also a little disappointed.

As far as I know, its popularity hasn't even reached my country yet. Lack of wide media coverage for the national team is a proof. (I actually googled if we even have a national team.)
So a professional college baseball player doesn't really excite me that much. But I thought, as long as the hero has one thing he's passionate about,...more

I loved this book, and I'm actually surprised I did. I know that sounds bad, but I normally wouldn't like the *incident* that happens in this one, but for some reason it totally worked. Well not for 'some' reason, the reason was that I absolutely fell in love with Jack... and Cassie for that matter! J. Gotta love those sports-themed romances. This one kept me cheering for the pitcher and the photographer all afternoon. After lots of witty banter, great romance, and a few tears, I thoroughly enjoyed the HEA and the Perfect Game.
