I LOVED everything about this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat with it's action and it's romance between Garrett and Nalena. Just when I thought I figured out what was going to happen next, something completely different happens. The cliffhanger ending has me desperately wanting the next book.

So. Many. Tears! I cried at least 3 times in the first 7 chapters. Ridiculous, but I did.
The characters are compelling and the world is richly developed. You learn even more about this secret world of those who protect the human race. The main character is both incredibly strong and blessedly vulnerable. I almost didn't give it five stars only because the internal monologue does get a bit clipped and distracting. Still, it wasn't enough to keep me from adoring the book.

OH WOW!! I am totally captivated by this book and let me say...
I read Cornerstone (book 1) and Keystone (book 2) back to back and the world that Misty has created here is phenomenal... Unique, explosive, mesmerizing, enthralling... The list could just go on and on with how taken I am with this book.
I also need to say that I am so thankful for being on this tour and getting a chance to know Mist More...

We pick up right where Cornerstone stops...Nalena is still trying to understand her new world and powers. I love that she doesn't keep secrets from Garrick, so many use those secrets as a way to complicate relationships and the overall story. This story and fight has so many new elements in it that those kinds of secrets would just be distracting and over complicate an already intricate story and world. Besides with everything that Nalena is dealing with, it is great for her to have a one truste More...

This was such a disappointment after the first book, which I really enjoyed. This book suffers from a common problem with many supernatural stories: it has too many ideas. There are too many types of creatures (all with pretty difficult to remember names like Veritas etc), too many powers that magically show up that weren't consistent with powers in the beginning of the story. Our main character, for one, finds out she's this whole other, completely rare being (again) AND she has a new power not More...

Overall: While Cornerstone felt like a contemporary novel for the first half, Keystone’s genre is a full-fledged paranormal romance. Although the mystery of the key and who possesses her grandfather’s memory are unraveled slowly, the lag and confusion from the first novel aren’t present here (thank goodness!) – Keystone is action packed and the mystery compelling and concise. The only thing that is obvious to readers is that Nalena will play a large role in figuring out this 17 year-old mystery. More...

I really didn't know what to expect with this series. Misty asked me to join the blog tour so I did what I always do...I looked to see if any of my friends had read it that have the same tastes as me and a few had and they loved it so I decided what the heck? I'll try it! Well guess what?! I LOVE IT TOO!!!! Actually I think EVERYONE should just drop what they are reading and go get it and open it and then you will get the AWESOMENESS because you can tell from the first few pages! Can you tell ye More...

Keystone picks up right where Cornerstone left off. Nelena is struggling to fit in to her new life. The secrets were revealed and now more than ever she is confused by the person who betrayed her. The person took something very important and hid it away and refuses to give it up. Nelena struggles with her destiny and at times wonders if it was worth it.
Nelena is in a race with time to find her grandfathers memories that were stolen. She needs them to end this feud between the Cusp and the Fury. More...

Misty Provencher has created a completely unique story in Cornerstone and Keystone. I have never read anything like it, and that's a major bonus for me. It's so hard to characterize a genre for the books. They aren't really paranormal, but there are paranormal-like elements (no vampires, zombies or ghosts...). They are an urban fantasy, but unlike anything you've ever read.
Misty is a master at creating characters. The dialogue and banter is so easy to hear. The characters all feel real. And the More...

I loved this one even better than the first in the series!
The book picks up right where Cornerstone left off, so have a box of tissues handy (things are even worse than they seemed at the end of Cornerstone). Nalena, now left without her mom, must try and find her path in this new world known as the Ianua. With the Fury closing in, the rest of the world thrown into chaos, and Walter's memory still missing, Nalena must learn how to use her new powers so that the can protect those she has left. W More...

When I read Cornerstone, I did not think it could get any better. Well, I was WRONG! Keystone is amazing, awesome and keeps you wanting me. Garrett, Nali and crew are all back in Book 2. It picks up right were Cornerstone left off at.
Best part of the book: I think the best part of the book is the relationship between Garrett and Nali. It is complicated and (some times) frustrating. There is a continuous pull between them both and I love that bec More...

Um...I need a Garrett on my shelf asap! And Nelina! She is best friend material!
This book was hilarious!! I've never laughed so much and thought, "How the heck is Misty so witty?"
Let me give you a couple reference lines:
"He's dressed in all black, but his hair is a shocking white-blond. And he's humping the glass."
"Princess growls like an overstuffed vacuum cleaner caught on a rug."
See? Hilarious! :)
And also swoon. Mega swoon. Example.

Picking up immediately after the traumatic, dramatic ending of Cornerstone, Keystone takes the unique world author Misty Provencher built to a whole new level.
I'm finding it impossible to say everything I want about Keystone without revealing too much or spoiling Cornerstone. If you read my Cornerstone review (HERE it is if you've not) than you know I enjoyed that book, I thought the story was unique, the romance was hot and basically that it was the start of a great new YA series. But there were a few things I wanted to see happen in the sequel. I wanted to see some real growth in the characters, the heroine Nali in particular. I wanted to learn more about the Ianua, their history and backstory. I wa More...

I was so impressed with Misty's world building in Cornerstone. It was intricate and unique. Nali was such an interesting and different character, and yet she was familiar and easy to relate to. Her narrative was clever, and her dialogue quick witted, if not a bit snarky. We were one, she and I. And we were off and running...If you read Cornerstone, you know it was an action packed, whirlwind of emotion. The world is changing and Nali is just learning about herself and her real life's calling. So More...

After an amazing first installment to the Cornerstone Series (which you can read my review for, here), I only hoped that Keystone would be able to rise to Cornerstone's high standards. And, I totally wasn't disappointed.
Keystone picks up right where Cornerstone left off. So, if you haven't read Cornerstone yet, you may not want to keep reading.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I read this entire book in less than a day. It is nothing short of freaking amazing. I am absolutely entranced and in love with this story and these characters. This book picks up exactly where the last left off. Nalena has just lost her mother and Garrett's father is gone too. The family is in hiding and the Fury have become a bigger threat than ever thought possible. Somehow they have organized and are attacking, taking out the Ianua however they can. RATING : 5 GARRETT, NOK & REESE BROTHERS STARS!!
There is something about Misty’s writing and this series that is begging to be published.
I really believe this world that Misty has built for me. The characters are ALL brilliantly written.
Zane is absolutely hilarious. He knows his stuff, but he can be the biggest larikan.

This world has a completely different take on the supernatural, and I love that. It is always fun to come across something new and exciting, especially if it is done well, and the Cornerstone series definitely is. I enjoyed this book more than the first one. Nali is coming out of her shell and is no longer the "Waste." She no longer thinks of herself as being defined by this nickname and has become a strong person because of it. She had a more enjoyable voice to read here.

When I finished reading Cornerstone, I immediately began reading Keystone, and I'm glad I did. Keystone picks up right where Cornerstone left off and we are thrown right back into the world of the Ianua.
Nali has made her choice and joined the Ianua, but the easy existence she had imagined when first learning of them is gone. Instead they are facing an attack from The Fury and have to battle not only the enemy they know, but also those hidden within their own walls.

The world I just signed on for is crumbling as I stand on its threshold. Everything is changing and it seems like this is all my fault.
I just love this book and everything in it. From cover to cover it is packed with romance, suspense, and a lot of action. It’s sad, it’s funny, it’s everything you could want in a book. Not to mention Misty is one flippin’ fantastic storyteller. She writes well and it shows in her work. Plus every now and then you get a glimpse into who Misty is as a person throu More...

This book was impossible to put down. One that I read in just under 24 hours. It was that good! It had me sobbing in Chapter 3, swooning over Garrett in Chapter 4, and mostly on the edge of my seat throughout. I felt it was a stronger book than Cornerstone as we got to learn more about the community and the relationship between Nali & Garrett continues to grow. Great new characters are introduced in this book; who else loves the comic relief of Zane? He's one of my favorites. I changed my re More...

There is a lot I can say about this book, both good and bad. Nalena (Nali) as a main character can both be observant and painfully obtuse, especially when the reader can figure it out and she’s sitting here with a, “Huh?” look on her face. There are two moments of this that made me want to reach through the book and throttle her. First, there are the Veritas, which are introduced early in the novel. Nali is told they can “hear everything” then remains confused as the Veritas in question is seemi More...

I was a HUGE fan of Cornerstone, the first book in this series, and was eagerly awaiting the release of Keystone, hoping it would have the same combination of romance, action, suspense, and coming-of-age story that it's predecessor did.
I was not disappointed. In fact I was thrilled by Keystone.

I'm nearing the end of the second book of this series and I still don't understand what the purpose of the Ianua is, or why everyone in the town (wherever it is) but Nali knows about them. Zane's "Free Ball" defies physics, but Nali isn't at all confused by that. "Quantus" seems like a terrible idea, and isn't it convenient that this school should be the one selected to test it. There are so many problems with this book. I'm still glued to it so I guess something is right, but it needed an edito More...

This book is everything I wanted it to be, and so much more. It picks up right after Cornerstone and I'm immediately jolted back into this vivid world Misty Provencher has created. I almost feel Nalena's pain, I definitely feel her embarrassment.
The first few chapters are heartbreaking and had me on the verge of tears as the characters come to terms with the losses suffered at the end of the previous novel. It's a brief reprieve before the rest of the story takes off at breakneck speed! More...
