You don’t want to owe that Luck bastard anything. It always asks for something in return.

There’s a new twist on an old prophecy and this one brings the End of Days. Junco must make a choice – human or avian? Only one race can survive.

Lucan has secrets and the lies are flowing like a mountain river during spring thaw. But he needs Junco to cooperate just a little bit longer...more

Flight, Book Three of the I AM Just JUNCO series, continues the kickass action associated with the previous novels: Clutch and Fledge.
Again we find Junco in more adventures and entangled in new missions. Junco managed to save Tier's life and also managed to become a team member of the avians. Junco and Tier have had their time together but now she has to return to return to fighting and wiping out threats. The latest of which is securing the rest of the Seven Siblings in an attempt to save the a...more

Awesome! I don’t really know where to start. I am still reeling from the emotional turmoil this book put me through. This is for sure a book that’s going to leave me with a book hangover, and that’s a bummer, as
I hate waiting, and need book 4 NOW, Please, I need it like water!
Ok, so now that I got that out, lol

Flight, which is book three of the I Am Just Junco series, and continues the kickass action from books 1 (Clutch) and book 2 (Fledge)

We find our awesome Junco in more adventure, and tang...more

My review originally posted on The Book Tart http://thebooktart.com/new-fiction-re...

This series just does it for me. Pushes all my buttons. The I Am Just Junco books make my stomach clench, make me tear up, make me wince, make me flinch and keep me on the edge of my seat. Junco grabbed my heart in a vice grip from the very first and never lets go. Flight is the 3rd book in this science fiction series and the clamp is particularly tight and twisty for this journey.

Junco is a heroine who is torme...more

I'm not really sure how to review this book without giving things away. However, this is book three in a series, so plenty has happened already, some of which I'm going to inevitably give away.

To begin this review, I'd like to talk about Junco. She's the star of the show here and after the things that happened in the two previous books in this series, she's getting sick of being lied to, and sick of all the fighting and killing. You can definitely tell that even though she got a bit of down t...more

I'll say it again to stop any of you happy ending romance lovers from wasting your time: If you’re looking for an easy read, a happily ever after, or something light then just skip Junco. She’s not easy, she’s definitely not happy, and she’s about as deep of a character as you can get.

Flight in two words: Holy crap. Three words…I loved it. This plot is so twisty now I'm hooked. I can’t wait for the fourth book. And please, please, please tell me there really is going to be a book on Tier? This b...more

I am just Junco Book Three
By J.A. Huss

Junco and her team must travel to earth in order to save The Siblings of Earth. Along the way Junco finds that everywhere she turns is full of secrets and revelations. What if you had the power to save a race of beings at the cost of the other? Junco may be strong willed but what she faces back on Earth will be a trial even for her.

I love Junco she is a loud mouthed character who doesn’t take crap from anyone. Plus she cusses like a sailor and chain s...more

Aaah! I thought this was a trilogy! This keeps happening to me. So I'm a little disappointed that I have to wait for more but it is what it is. Again this book slightly confusing at parts but all in all a good solid read. I don't know how many books are planned but as long as the story continues working toward an end result I'm fine. I would like to see her end up with tier in the end, I know from other reviews people are fans of Gideon or Lucan. Not me. I think no matter how junco behaves the o...more

I'm ready for the fourth book. Like, now.

I hope you paid attention in the first two books, so maybe you are a little prepared for the hurricane that is Junco's story.

There are so many twists in this story, I was scared to turn the pages. But trust me, every single one of them just make the story even more addicting and add a little piece to the puzzle that has been building since the first word of the first book.

Trust is the biggest theme in the third book, and you will be guessing who Junco s...more

MY (Mini) REVIEW

****I will follow up with a more in-depth review, once I have gone back and read the proceeding titles*****

I actually came in on this series, with this particular book, and although, I was a little turned around; and trying to catch up with the story line, I soon found myself immersed in this exciting world. I love strong female characters and this is exactly what I found in Junco. The setting and description used by Ms. Huss was fantastic, she truly, through her storytelling, hel...more

I reviewed Clutch, Fledge, and Flight for the I Am Just Junco blog tour by Bewitching Blog Tours so this review pretty much covers all three books.

This science fiction series by author J.A. Huss totally took me by surprise. "Just Junco" turns out to be a foul-mouthed super badass heroine and the series totally kicks ass.

In the first pages of book one we are introduced right away to Junco, our heroine who is by no means a girly-girl. She's the type who knows all her weapons and firearms, would pr...more

First off, bravo J.A. for continuing to make a strong, kick ass heroine. The world needs more of those! This book does not let you down if you've read the other two. Junco is still wham-bam-thank-you-mam kick ass, strong and courageous. The book allows you to get to know Junco a little closer this time. Seeing her character arc develop even further. It keeps you on the edge of your seat too- which is great for adventure/action lovers. I wish that the males in the book were less the typical femal...more

My Review:
Hmm, I'm not sure what to do with this installment in the series. Honestly, I am still reeling from the emotional impact of this book. This is definitely the book to leave me with the book hangover...which is so not good since I have no idea when book #4 is coming out. (please, I really need it to be released SOON!) This book was painful in so many ways, but that's the sign of a good book, right? You know when you are so emotionally invested that it leaves you completely wrung out? Tha...more

I received a free copy of this novel for my honest review. Book three opens with Junco back from her hiatus with Tier. You get an even closer connection with Junco (yes, really). This portion she learns things about Lucan and gets her crew’s new mission. She has to return to Earth to bring back “The Siblings”. Once again, Flight is a wonderful addition to the series, J.A. Huss brings such life to her novels. I also love the fact the Junco’s strength and character is consistently powerful. She’s...more

Flight continues the story of Junco, along with her human 'family' and her Avian friends and love interest. Ms. Huss excels at making the characters come alive and leap off the page to drag you straight back into the action of the story, making you feel as if you are actually there and experiencing everything right along with Junco and not just reading about it after the fact.

Her story line still follows a fairly smooth trajectory, so that there aren't periods of 'down time' that drag on and on...more

AGAIN? REALLY J. ANNE?

J.A. Huss surprised me AGAIN after Fledge (the second book of the I Am Just Junco series). And by surprise, I don't mean good, or bad. Neither. I mean, ass-whipping, bad-ass, killing, bloody and running-out-of-words surprise.

In the third instalment of the I Am Just Junco series, we're introduced into a deeper depth that goes through the core of the avian race. As you know about the prophecy, now Junco has to make the...more

And it's all been leading up to this! This is what Junco's been trained for - to extract her six siblings so they can save the avians and to set the prophecy in motion. But this is Junco - and nothing goes according to plan. Flight is another tension-filled, action-packed thrill ride of a read!

Before the Aves can start the mission, Junco must endure a twine with Isten. As a side note - I love that we get to know secondary characters so well and that it's a different one in each book. - Anyway, J...more

Junco exploded onto the scene in Clutch and she hasn't stopped yet! J.A. Huss brings back her wild, foul-mouthed heroine with another fierce installment in the I Am Just Junco series: Flight. Junco survived the fledge with a devastating victory and found a most shocking way to save her beloved Tier.

What's interesting about Flight is how much further and deeper we're privy to Junco's childhood. All the stories up to this point have shown us bits and pieces of what led Junco to this point in time,...more

J.A. Huss does it again in "Flight", the thrid book in the 'I Am Just Junco Dot Com' series!! A fast paced, original, action packed and a totally exciting read, the series continues on and now I can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommended to all!

“He wasn’t that careful, Lucan. I think you’ve got him mixed up with someone else.”

“He put a lot of effort into you. Not just as a soldier. But as a child. Why teach you that horse sport? Why teach you to play an instrument? Why give you a God? He took you to church? Every week?”

I swallow and nod as my face begins to feel hot.

“Men who want to kill their grandchildren don’t do those things, Junco.”
