This book was not my typical type of romance but you know what? I REALLY LIKED IT. I was ready to read a thriller and that is exactly what I got, and so much more. There was also a paranormal twist that kept the book very interesting, along with a love triangle and a very creepy villain. As you can see from my star rating that there were no actual lo

Deep Connections is written in third person. I usually have trouble with this, but here it works perfectly. I loved the different POV turning from Brenna, to Slaton to Creeper even to Tahnee.

The writing is amazing and smooth. So intriguing and at the same time romantic. The story is well built and the plot is original. It flowed easil

My Take of the Book
Brenna is fairly knew to town, and is befriended by a native American family. When a stalker threatens her life, Slaton and his family step up to help solve the mystery.
This is an intense high level fun read.
Cornered between a stalker and blossoming love Brenna is forced to see much strength she truly has.

I don't usually start with the male protagonist but.....holy cow!! Slaton was to die for, just the right amount of man to make him totally swoon worthy,

Deep Connections is a character-centric novel that pulls readers into the uncertainty of darkness and the light of love. Rebecca Graf weaves mystery in the romance that takes front stage, as Brenna finds two men competing for her affection and one stalker competing for a power locked deep within her.

After an evening with her closest friends, Tahnee and her family, Brenna comes home to a dangerous surprise. Discovering that her apartment has been broken into begins a whirlwind of terror and confu

What a phenomenal novel. Graf told a very romantic, yet suspenseful tale without resorting to bedroom scenes and murders to carry her storyline. I was thoroughly enthralled in the storyline, wanting to get closer and closer to the characters.

Graf employs some very clear and carefully laid out descriptions, but some of them are used repeatedly. This wasn’t to the detriment of the story, especially since they were always used in conjunction with the same characters or set of characters. This techn

This book was hard to put down, the constant mystery and questions posed keeping me hooked. I'm a sucker for a romance novel, especially when they have paranormal/supernatural elements and this book didn't disappoint. The love triangle added another depth to the story and engaged me more as I found myself growing to like Slaton over Eaton.

I have read a lot of books in this genre and some of the story was slightly predictable at ti

Deep Connections has an interesting-sounding synopsis (though I think the latter half of it should be deleted), and I expected a suspense/mystery. That was partly my fault- I would have enjoyed it better if I was approaching it as a romance novel. Because it is. The primary tension of the book is romantic....I think. Anyway, the primary focus of the extra-special heroine is the extra-special hero clearly meant to be her beau.

I do applaud the author for not taking the easy route and making hero/

This was a FANTASTIC book! I loved it from page 1 till the last page!

Fantastically written, characters easy to gel with and a constant page turner that had you not knowing what was going to happen next!

I haven't read a book like this in a long, long time, and I'm so glad i read it!!

So, at its core, its a romance with several twists. I daren't write any more as i don't want to give the story away. Elements of supernatural, mystery and suspense running through it which gives it a fantastic

Great story!! It started out a little too romancey for me. I don't really care for love triangles and while this was better than most, I still found it a little annoying. That being said, there were enough plot questions, twist and turns for me to keep going. I was NOT disappointed!! The second half of the book was a fast paced, suspense thriller. I stayed up half the night to finish!! I love the wolf twist, which I suspected early on. I really enjoyed the family/tribe interactions and relations ...more

I was hooked instantly. The twists and turns that are layered upon each other to make this book are great! Just when I think I'm going to be able to predict the next situation, or reaction to one, I'm wrong. Every single time. I'm excited about the sequel. I look forward to following the characters a little farther into this mysterious situation they are al tied up into!

Overall, I feel that the story itself has a lot of potential. But, there were several aspects that pulled me out of the story, and really detracted from the reading experience, which is why this has such a low rating.

One of the major drawbacks of the story is the writing style and use of language. The language is so stiff, and formal. It just doesn't flow well, and it doesn't sound natural. This story really coul

Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. I read it every free chance I had. I couldn't wait to see how the story ended.

It was suspenseful, action-packed, and had me on the edge of my seat. The prologue hooked me and freaked me out just a bit. I had to see how this story played out. There were times when I was looking over my shoulder and watching for disturbances; that's how real it felt to me.

Brenna thinks it is all a prank by some of her students until she wakes up knowing some

I first started this because I was looking for something different than the YA books I have been reading lately. I wanted something a little more adult and a good suspense/thriller sounded just like something I could use.

Plus, I really wanted a stand alone for a change, something that wasn't part of a trilogy and series. Don't get me wrong, I love my series and trilogies but it is nice once in awhile to just start a book and know it will have a definitely ending.

So I was surprised and if I am be

I was immediately intrigued by Deep Connections when I read the synopsis. Then, I was immediately sucked into the story. I read it in an afternoon. Brenna and Slaton were really great together. I loved Slaton's protective nature. The romance between them was very sweet and sensual. It's a pretty clean romance though, nothing more than kissing.

Deep Connections builds up to the paranormal aspect slowly. I liked that about the book. The reader isn't given an information dump right in the beginning

One thing I particularly enjoyed about Deep Connections was the way in which the author slowly teased out the twin secrets of why the heroine, Brenna, is being stalked and Slater's family history. That seemed to me very well done.

I liked the characters, although I don't generally subscribe to the "one true love/soulmate" way of thinking.

This was a light, easy read and I will certainly look out for the sequel. I gave Deep Connections 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I really enjoyed this book. It has romance, action, suspense, sacrifice, and a few surprises. Ms. Graf's character development is really good, and her writing style is easy to read. There is some language, deaths of characters, and attempted rape, so it is not appropriate for younger readers, but I recommend it for an older teen.
