If you are looking for the perfect YA summer love story, "Home is Where the Heart Break Is" supplies the perfect fix. This story has everything I like in a book: humor, mystery, intrigue and vile villains. Additionally, just look at this cover. I may be old; but, I am not dead! This guy is just "prettiful."

Jessa and her mother moved away from the small tourist town of Pinecliff five years ago. Jessa's mother left wo be with her fiance that turned out to be another reject in her string of bad dec

This was my first win from a Goodreads giveaway and I was really excited for it.

First of all, it isn't directly related to the 1st and 2nd book in the series. The theme (summer romance) is the same but none of the characters cross books.

As for the story. Jessa lived in Pinecliff for most of her life and had two best friends Chase and Nico. Her mom moved her away around jr. high age and five years later (seventeen-ish) they move back. She lost touch with Chase and Nico and is sad to hear that Cha

This book is about Jessa who moved away from the small seaside town to the city with her mom leaving behind her two best friends Chase and Nico who were always together growing up! When Jessa and her mom move back for the summer to help her older aunt she finds that she missed both Chase and Nico more than she had realized. Five years has changed all three of them in many ways, but on first sight they all bond again and cause an uproar and quit a lot of gossip in the little seaside town. Someone ...more

This is the third novella in Tess Oliver’s Vacation Romance Collection. I read them in the order that they came in, however it doesn’t matter if you haven’t!

I was downloading this regardless of absolutely anything. I have really fallen in love with Tess’s style, her heroes and her heroines. I really liked how the title is a play on the famous saying Home is Where the Heart is. It gives us a clue as to what to expect from the book. Along with the title is the rather good looking guy on the front,

I'm on a Tess Oliver binge at the minute and is it any wonder when the woman can do no wrong. Whether it's paranormal romance, hot tattoo artists or in this instance a story about lost friendship and relationships. Lovely characterisation with a good storyline. I really enjoyed the character development and depth that each and every player had, what you maybe thought about someone based on a first impression isn't necessarily all there is to that person. My only complaint is I wish it had been s ...more

Who doesn't love the story of childhood friends growing to love each other as so much more, add a little suspense and mystery and you have a winner. This book was great, I loved that this one was set near a lake. Jessa comes home after years of being away and sees the friends she never meant to leave behind for the first time. As Jessa becomes more comfortable in her hometown, she begins to receive threatening messages and "accidents" begin to happen.

The romance, this one was steamy sweet. Dear

3.5 stars.

Something about this book kept me interested, kept me reading. Maybe it was the five year separation between this trio of friends and how they still had that same connection. Or maybe it was the romance between Jessa and Nico. Or maybe it was the mystery surrounding these notes she kept receiving. Whatever it was, I finished this book within a couple of hours.

This is my second book by the author, the first being Cowboy Dark, the first book in this series and I enjoyed that one too.

I love Tess Oliver. But this one felt really rushed.

I loved the relationship between the three - Jessa, Nico and Chase. It's always fun to see what 3 people are friends what happens later in life. These three went for 5 years without really being friends, Jessa moved away with her mom but when she came back the three of them started out almost where they left off. The relationship between Jessa and Nico was good. You could tell that he had loved her from the day he met her. This was a good story about friendship, love and what you have to do when ...more

This a really good young adult romance. If you are looking hot sex this isn't it, but its a lovely romance that's an easy read with great characters. Another good book from Tess.

This book was a quick, cheesy and addicting book. Not a very complicated storyline but entertains non the less. If your looking for a quick, lighthearted read this is the book.
Angie
This is a great YA romance that I finished in a couple of hours. Great storyline that kept me reading all the way through. I might even have a slight crush on Nico..LOL.

It was ok. Nothing to write home about. Heroine was a little stupid but conveniently smartened up toward the end. Want my .99 back for her stupidity.

I stopped reading this at 93%..., that counts as finishing it pretty much, right? The story was mediocre at best. But it was a clean book.

I have never met a Tess Oliver book I didn't like, and this is no exception. Just a fun, easy summer read.

I liked it, but it was a bit predictable. I figured out the 'bad guy' early on.

I picked this up two years later and loved it just as much as I did in 2013!
