In looking at the cover of this book, I almost didn’t read it. I don’t know what it was but it did not wow me. You know what they say—don’t judge a book by its cover—well this is the book that falls in that category.
Julia Campbell, a pre-law student, has just broken off her engagement. She is now free, well until she begins her internship at a prestigious law firm. Her boss has warned her to stay away f...more

Brad DeLuca is one of three partners in the law firm that 21 year old Julia Campbell is going to be working as an intern at. However, she is not assigned to be Brad's intern. She will be working for Kent Broward. Kent is the attorney who created the term ". All work and no fun". Kent is " No Fun". Brad is "All Fun".

On Julia's first day in the office, Kent warns her to stay away from Brad. He tells her he doesn't want her to go in the wing that Brad works in, which is fine with Julia. She is the...more

This is a beautiful story about seduction. I enjoyed it a lot.

The parts that I liked the most were the dialogs between the two main characters. They had some very interesting discussions about life and sex, why-yes and why-nots :-).

I liked the slow seduction and the way he approached her. Her inner monologues were pretty great, too.

The ending was a bit iffy, but it made them both happy, so I say have at it :-D.

I'm not sure why book is called Blindfolded Innocence, yes there were blindfolds invo...more

Favorite Characters - Julia

Okay so this is one of those books where i know people will be like "it is another 50SOG" it is not though. Here is why; no contract, no virginal vanilla lead female, no BDSM, no horrible childhoods & no anal plug/sex.
Yes the dude is rich, a bit controlling and into kinkiness but it is not Christian kink it is dif...more

Don't let the cover fool you.

***SLIGHT SPOILERS***

Great story about two people's perspective on sex and relationships.

Julia who is a 21yr old intern at a law pratice, thinks there needs to be some sort of love/connection/relationship between two partners. She is looking for "the one".

Brad who is a 40yr old divorced senior partner at the firm where Julia is interning feels that sex is about release, finding pleasure and pleasuring the females he is with. He does not want to be tied down to just...more

**Nothing major, but some can consider this review have spoilers**

I hate to say that I almost didn’t read the book because of the cover. It looked a little more X-rated than what I usually read. But amazon.com kept throwing this book in my recommended section and I found the plot interesting.

OK… So cover aside (which really didn’t relate much to the story), the book was pretty good. I did get the blindfolded & Innocence parts :D I liked very much Julia’s character. Yes, she was young and som...more

Don't hate on the cover. Yes, it's pornish but the story is really good. This is not your typical HEA. This is more about a young girl Julia(age 21) who explores her sexuality with a hot older man Brad(40). Age difference didn't bother me.

They both have different views on sex. Julia, for her, has to be in love with the guy she's with to do it. She's only has had 2 partners and has never had an orgasm. Brad, for him, sex is having pleasure and finding release. He's had numerous partners...more

“What if what we’re looking for is each other?”

Once in a while a book comes along that doesn’t just present a nice little HEA story but pushes me to think, reconsider, dwell on certain topics, and this was definitely the book that did that for me. It made me take stock of all that I believe constitutes a healthy relationship and shone light on a whole other world of possibilities that never even entered my mind. I can’t say I was ‘converted’ into anything, but I enjoyed immensely the mind-str...more

Blindfolded Innocence has no BDSM, no butt plugs and zero abusive behaviour. But unlike Fifty Shades of Grey, I found this a truly erotic and far more realistic book.

Brad is older, worldly and wealthy, with a voracious sexual appetite. Julia is almost two decades younger, sexually inexperienced but very eager to learn more. Their relationship is not based on amour but a shared passion for sensual and sexual exploration.

The writing isn't spectacular, and needs editing, but the characters felt aut...more

I wish people would stop comparing every erotic book to FSoG. I feel like that book ruined all the others and it sucks because FSoG was nothing to write home about. THIS NOVEL IS NOTHING LIKE FSoG!

While I thought this was a good book...hello body shots :), I thought the ending felt rushed. I wanted more. All that build up about Brad's sexual needs and we get a couple of pages. The last 10% was incredible and I wanted more of that throughout the entire novel.

I will read the sequel whe...more

I liked this book, and I look forward to reading the second book. Honestly, I was expecting hot and steamy, with little story, but I actually really liked the author's writing style. I also liked that this was a different kind of story, it wasn't a love story and yet it still felt okay and safe. The hot, controlling, kinky lawyer and the young college intern. However, the intern was not necessarily an 'innocent' it turns out, and the boundaries of what's acceptable are explored. I found that I l...more

This is not your A-typical love story. Yes we have a good girl Julia who is pre-law and has only slept with 2 people both of whom she thought she loved. And yes we have the bad boy Brad DeLuca highly successful divorce attorney known for sleeping with his clients and interns and any beautiful woman that crosses his path. However, this story plays out differently. Both of these characters enjoy the chase and it serves them well while getting to know each other. Brad is divorced and finds it impos...more

So, what I get from this is a woman's journey as to how she ended up naked and blindfolded in a room with two men, living out her current sexual fantasy and boy did I love it! (At least the fantasies parts)

I must say I love Brad and Julia. They aren't your everyday couple or love story. I have read books before, about people with voyeuristic tendencies, and I really wish we could have gotten some more where these two were concerned. It would definitely have been what dreams are made of.

I love a...more

A very good read

Twenty-one year old Julia is more than ready for the real thing… THE ONE she had been waiting for but she doesn’t believe it could be the incredibly sexy older senior partner at the firm where she is interning and slaving away for another very demanding senior partner who warns her to stay away from sexy Brad De Luca. In spite of the warning a whirlwind trip to Vegas with Brad opens her eyes to many possibilities and she finds she has been denying herself too much, but she is sti...more

The blurb caught my attention not only because it promised an older hero than I’m used to reading about, but said hero also sounded like the consummate bad boy. It also promised a confident and independent heroine, and I am a sucker for those. I was almost halfway through the book when the thought entered my mind that I had been misled. Horribly.

For her debut novel, author Alessandra Torre not only penned/typed a story sure to capture the attention of FSoG fans suffering from withdrawl, but she...more

In this story we have the powerful, strong, insanely attractive Brad DeLuca, a divorce attorney for a very successful law firm. Brad isn't known for having relationships and tens to hookup with whoever he is attracted to and makes no excuses for the fact that sex is just about that to him attraction. Enter the beautiful, sweet, and innocent Julia Cambell. Julia has to work under Brad in the same law firm and quickly hears about his escapades from other employees. There is no way she will allow...more

First of all do not pick up this book thinking this is another Christian Grey. Brad is no Christian Grey he doesn't needed to be fixed and as far as I can tell from this story he has no demons. He's a man who knows what he wants and as a hot shot lawyer it normally means he gets what he wants. There is no apology for his life style or kinky preferences. This book is a shocking and riveting read that I couldn't of put down even if I wanted too, I can see why Julia was attracted to this man he's a...more

“What if what we’re looking for is each other?”
was the best line in the book. I'm torn on this book, supposedly, Julia is an innocent, I don't think so. She was inexperienced, but not innocent by any stretch of the imagination. The one thing she was without doubt was a tease, and she was proud of that, it seemed to be her thing along with being a boarder line dominant. Also, she ran around in Loubotins, Prada and Jimmy Choos and every other thousand dollar shoe but acted poor as a church mouse -...more

I can't say how disappointed I am. after reading all these 5 star reviews, saying how steamy this book is, I was really looking forward to a good smutty read. um, no! none of the sex scenes got my heart racing and anxious to see what was about to happen. the only sex scene that got any emotional response from me was the one Brad had with the other woman at the strip club. and the feeling it aroused in me was disgust. now I understand that there was no relationship between Brad and Julia when he...more

Okay, I like this cover much better. There is another cover out there that borders on distasteful to some. I didn't care for it, but I was surprised by this story. I'm not sure how I feel about Brad's reasoning for being the way he is or the fact he is old enough to be Julia's father. But whom I to judge? It's been known to happen and you can't help who you fall for.

I will give one spoiler, but evasive about it though. If you aren't about swinging or group or men & females who are into this,...more

Olivia was more like me - from working class parents, barely surviving on student loans and part-time jobs. I was especially tight right now, due to my full-time unpaid internship.

- But she wears Loubotins, Prada and Jimmy Choos?

Out of all the erotic romances I've read and all the alpha males in those books, I think this is the first time I'll say I am not so smitten with the "hero", Brad De Luca - NO. Just NO. I don't even know where to begin or what to say and how to describe how much of a jer...more

Good Lord, that cover is horrid!

Speechless might be a good way to describe how I feel right now. So, I guess I will just go with the flow my mind takes me and hash this one out.

I gave this one a 2 star review, because even though I was rolling my eyes and pissed off at the stupidity of Julia and the douchebagness of Brad, I was able to finish. Guess that makes it worth that extra star. Whatever...there ya go.

I'm not sure I could really pinpoint my reasons for not liking this book. SOOO...I'll...more

The cover/title is so awful that I almost didn't read this one, but so many reviewers said to ignore the cover that I gave it a shot, and I was actually pleasantly surprised. OK - I can see why it gets compared with 50 shades - there are a few parallel dynamics - but the similarities really aren't that deep (thank goodness). I hated 50 shades, and this one managed to steer clear of so many of the pitfalls that made that one suck. I like the fact that our heroine was not another one of these inse...more

Watch out fifty shades! Three words: hot, hot, hot! Please don't let the book cover fool you. I'm not easily offended but almost was scared away by it. Blindfolded Innocence has a similar plot to fifty but enough differences to make it is own. There are less Wtf moments but just enough to keep your attention. Its hard not to compare it to fifty a little, but the characters and the settings are a lot different. There are a few hot sex scenes but not nearly as many as fifty which I like because yo...more

I liked this story...even when I didn't want to. When Brad and Julia went to the club, I knew where it was heading and started thinking... do I really want to keep reading. Even with all the bad feelings about what Brad was doing, I still found the scene really hot.

I have to agree with the other reviews, the picture for the cover is tacky and I don't think does the book justice.

A few times through the book, I felt that Julia was just a little too immature and silly. Brad comes across as an absol...more

The overall plot and story frame of Blindfolded Innocence is very similar to FSoG (and all those books which followed in its wake), though, with much less romance. In this case, rich lawyer locks eyes with new legal intern and....waves crash, the earth tilts, angels sing....etc, etc. Whereas BDSM was the sexual 'deviance' of choice in FSoG, and most of the subsequent offerings, here it's swinging.

To me, the writing is almost agonizingly inconsistent. Quite good one moment, terrible the next. The...more

HOT HOT HOT STORY! HONEST REVIEW AS TO WHY I GAVE IT 3 STARS. MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS!

Honestly, I struggled between giving this book 3 or 4 stars.... In the end, I decided to give it 3. Not because I don't like the book or didn't enjoy reading it, but because what is discovered towards the end of the book completely turned me off. To be honest, I'm not one get satisfaction from reading about swingers. I don't mind the threesomes, but when I found out that the only condition of Julia and Brad...more
