I was sent “The Kiss” for review along with the first book of the series, “I Am Wolf”. This book picks up where “I Am Wolf” concluded. I now understand why it’s called ‘The Children of Nox Series’. I didn’t find any grammar errors in Joann’s writing which is always a plus when I’m reading. I liked how she began each chapter with a philosophic life view before starting the storylines. I really got caught up in Daniel and Sharron’s slice of the story. I kept reading just to see what would happen b...more
Joann H. Buchanan’s second book in the Children of Nox Series carries the story forward from where her devastating debut I Am Wolf leaves off. Having successfully fought off the evil Ralph in I Am Wolf, changelings Alaynee and Jonah are now getting ready for prom night and also getting ready to make the lifelong love commitment to each other that wolves do.
The story gets rolling when Alaynee’s mother finds a naked teenaged girl hiding in a bush. Following her maternal instinct, she brings the gi...more
I have to say… I got this book not 24 hours ago. And I’m done. I really could not put it down. The twist and turns... the love and hate... the ups and downs. All make you feel like you are there in Sisters right with the wolf pack trying to help save them! At some points I wanted to crawl in the book and smack the boys upside the head. Other points I find myself wiping away the tears. I love a book that makes u feel every emotion from the good to the bad and everywhere in-between. The great thin...more
Author Joann Buchanan does it again. I was one of the privileged few who was able to read it before it came out. The sequel does not disappoint. Filled with romance, action and suspense, I couldn't put it down. Just like book one, her writing is like poetry in motion. With just enough deception, she writes beautifully as you get sucked into her world again. Just when the young packling feel like everything is back to normal, something evil lurks among them. Joann does a great job building the an...more
10*s. I recieved an eARC copy of this book directly from the author in return for an honest review.
I loved reading book 1 I Am Wolf, but this story just blew my mind and I loved it even more. So much excitement and surprises around every bend kept me glued to this story from beginning to end. I found myself literally saying, 'One more chapter' because I had to know what happened next in the story. The characters are still lovable and I was reminded why I loved the first book so much. These chara...more

Joann Buchanan, you got me. I felt every emotion possible in one sitting. Happiness, fear, anger, longing, scared, defensive, hateful, childlike, in love and what have I missed? I got to read a masterpiece.
Jonah and Alaynee are engaged to be married and their lives are just beginning. Or is it? Through the envy of others, life just isn’t going as planned for them. Reacquaint yourself with the youngling pack as life hands them new issues and challenges. Watch friendships grow and fall. Who will s...more

I wish the rating options were higher, because this book deserves 6 stars for sure. I absolutely LOVED this book, and once I started it, I found it impossible to put it down. I would tell myself one more chapter and would find myself still reading it 6 hours later. I loved the story that unfolded with the characters, and I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. Joann is a very talented author and has definitely created a fan for life. I definitely recommend this book, you won't...more
I love the story line but jumping for one character to another every chapter is so hard to keep up with and made this a hard book for me to read. I recommend the series but this one was hard for me to really get into because of the character change ever chapter. I love the characters themselves and the love and loyalty they have for each other I just wish it was from one to 3 peoples perspective.
